The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable week. Parking is available in the garage, but if you have more than one car, it is a very tight fit. The area is gorgeous, the house is gorgeous, we loved our time there!

We loved our stay in Como. The property was clean and comfortable but not well equipped for the number of guests it accommodates. One 2 cup coffee maker was not enough for our party. One towel per person for 5 days was not enough. One hair dryer was not enough for 5 women although Andrey did bring us 4 new ones. We did love the property and the views otherwise.

This Villa is divided into two apartments, upstairs and downstairs.On the plus side, the grounds were beautiful as was the view to Lake Como.The upstairs apartment, with three en suite bedrooms, was fine. It only lacked a microwave. And it would’ve helped if they were clear instructions for the oven.The downstairs apartment had two en suite bedrooms. The beds in each are horrible. Despite a number of emails sent about the uncomfortableness of these beds starting after the first night sleep, nothing was done. I would not recommend staying in the downstairs apartment if they do not change the beds to something more substantial. They were merely thin mattresses on wood slats.

Overall, the villa was wonderful. The views were great. The rooms were all comfortable. It was perfect for our group of Eight. I was surprised on the distance up from Menaggio. I thought we would be able to walk it. But note it’s multiple switchbacks and quite a ways up the mountainside. We enjoyed the jacuzzi though we wished for some less windy days Just a few things to ask for in the future. If you’re offering a jacuzzi, then you need to supply additional towels . One small and one large towel per person for the week just isn’t enough! And be prepared if you have more than one car, it’s a tight space to maneuver your cars into the driveway. But then again, it’s a squeeze just driving around many of the streets. But overall, we loved the Villa and location. Lake Como is just beautiful.

Never go back

Ants throughout house - in kitchen/bedrooms, including in the refrigerator-which was a first. No dishrack to clean plates, no paper towels, no dish soap, no bathroom soap. 3 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people. 1 large/1small towel for 1 week or pay for added towels. Large dust balls under most of the beds. No microwave.

Ambra in Menaggio

Our family stayed in early May 2025. The house has five bedrooms with 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs with bathrooms for each bedroom. The only access up and down is outside so it’s like two separate living spaces which is ideal for large families. They each have kitchens and living spaces. It has a beautiful view of the lake and is within walking distance of a golf course. Parking is tight but can be done, we had two large vehicles and found that backing them in was easiest. Simon was our point of contact and was prompt and incredibly friendly. The only issues is that the washer is around back in a utility room and there is no dryer but heated towel racks were used to dry clothes. There was also a presence of some ants but it had rained a good bit early in the trip. Menaggio is a little slower and one of the prettier places in the lake. I’m glad we stayed.

Villa Ambra ist ein wunderschön und ruhig gelegenes Haus und sehr empfehlenswert für eine Großfamilie mit Hund. Der Garten ist ideal für Kinder und lädt zum entspannen mit Blick auf den Comer See ein. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und top ausgestattet, die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge rund um den Comer See.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Ambra. Das Haus ist geräumig und ideal für große Gruppen. Es ist in zwei voll möblierte Wohnungen unterteilt, was schön ist, wenn ein Teil der Gruppe manchmal etwas mehr Privatsphäre haben möchte. Wir hatten alle unsere Mahlzeiten in der Küche/im Essbereich in der Wohnung im Obergeschoss, die sehr gut ausgestattet war und alles hatte, was wir brauchten. Die Aussicht vom Garten aus ist absolut fantastisch und der Whirlpool war ein sehr schöner Genuss. Die Lage ist auch großartig, 10 Minuten vom Dorf Menaggio und der Fährhaltestelle entfernt, um den Rest der Wunder des Comer Sees zu erkunden, und nur 30 Minuten von Lugano entfernt. Tolles Haus mit viel Platz - drinnen und draußen. Sehr gut geeignet für große Gruppen mit zwei voll ausgestatteten Wohnungen. Sehr schöne Aussicht vom Garten. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben die Unterkunft zu acht gemietet (4 Erwachsene und 4 kleine Kinder). Der Check-in und die Kommunikation im Vorfeld waren problemlos. Die Unterkunft ist sehr großzügig und hell und war für uns und die Kinder zum Austoben optimal. Auch der Garten mit Blick auf den Comer See (gekrönt vom Whirlpool) war sehr schön . Von der Unerkunft aus lassen sich (nach kurzer Autofahrt) schöne Wanderungen und die Erkundung des Ortes Menaggio und des Sees starten. Sehr zu empfehlen!
