"Witthuis" Vacation Home in Emmelsbüll-Horsbüll, accommodating up to 6 people

The Witthuis vacation home—a “Pearl on the Dike”—is a romantic thatched-roof cottage dating back to 1840, situated in a stunning location on the dike, which has lost none of its original charm and character. It can accommodate up to 6 people.

Location
Our vacation home is located in northern North Frisia in the municipality of Emmelsbüll-Horsbüll. The North Sea coast, with its fascinating Wadden Sea and salt marshes, is just a few steps away. During the summer months, beach chairs are available at the green Südhörner swimming area; from here, you can enjoy the wonderful view of the North Sea and Sylt. A restaurant serves meals from spring through fall. The Horsbüll Trout Lake and a swimming pond are in the immediate vicinity. Klanxbüll train station is 6 km away; from there, you can take the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn to Sylt. Niebüll (15 km away) offers a wide variety of shops and a weekly market.
The Adler ships take you from the ferry terminal in Schlüttsiel (12 km) to the Halligen islands of Hooge, Langeneß, or Oland. From Dagebüll, you can set off toward Föhr and Amrum.

Denmark isn’t far away—visit the beautiful town of Tondern or Mögeltonder (residence of the Danish Crown Prince).

Amenities
The 140-square-meter vacation home is furnished in a classic country house style and can accommodate up to 6 people. Two bedrooms are located on the upper floor: one with a double bed (180 x 200 m) and a cozy sofa and TV as a place to unwind, and another with two single beds, which is ideal for children and young adults. There is also a small shower room with a toilet on this floor.

On the first floor is a cozy living room with a fireplace, TV, DVD player, and stereo system with an iPod connection. Adjacent to this is an open, very well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom with a large shower, a guest restroom, and a romantic bedroom separated from the living room area by a curtain. The first floor is equipped with radiant floor heating, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

The open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. Kitchen amenities also include Grohe Blue water filtration technology for chilled mineral water (still/medium), a Nescafé Dolce Gusto machine and a standard coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, egg cooker, blender, waffle iron, 12-place settings of cutlery and dishes, and a variety of glasses. The large dining table is perfect for cozy evenings with friends or family. A washing machine is available for your use.

On the sunny terrace, complete with patio furniture, two beach chairs, and a grill, you can relax and wind down at the end of the day.

The large, fenced-in garden with a 1-meter-high fence offers plenty of space for adults, children, and pets. We’re happy to provide you with free Wi-Fi. Two parking spaces are available right next to the house and garden.
