Our vacation rental, which includes admission to the water park across the street, is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, families, cyclists, hikers, and active vacationers! It’s located in the Upper Rodach Valley, right in the heart of the Franconian Forest—one of Germany’s most beautiful low-mountain regions and awarded the “Wanderbares Deutschland” quality seal. With its extensive network of hiking trails and the award-winning “32 FrankenwaldSteigla,” the Franconian Forest is the ideal starting point for hikes of all difficulty levels. For those who prefer a faster pace, the Franconian Forest offers 8,000 meters of elevation gain and 300 kilometers of challenging mountain biking trails. A real draw for anyone looking to challenge their fitness and riding skills. Our apartment serves as a great starting point for hikes and bike tours. The tourist office—where you can rent bicycles, e-bikes, and various hiking gear—is just across the street. Across the street at the Steinwiesen Water Park, the indoor area features a whirlpool, massage jets, a steam room, a sunbathing area, an infrared cabin, and much more. There’s also a children’s pool where the “little ones” can run around and play. You’ll receive free admission for 4 hours a day. The spacious and new sauna area can be booked for an additional fee. A playground is located right in front of the house. The tennis courts and a well-stocked grocery store are just 200 meters away. An electric vehicle charging station and a bus stop are also located in the immediate vicinity. Our spacious, bright attic apartment—which includes daily pool access and a covered balcony—offers the utmost comfort with 120 square meters of living space and a magnificent view of the Franconian Forest. This non-smoking apartment has been newly renovated, is fully equipped with underfloor heating (no carpet), and is available for booking year-round. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire house. Two bedrooms with double beds, one room with a panoramic window and a single bed with a pull-out bed—each fully stocked with linens—are at your disposal. There is a modern bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a toilet, a hair dryer, plus shower and bath towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, and toiletries. There is also a separate toilet inside the apartment. The built-in kitchen with dining area is fully equipped with plenty of dishes and cutlery, numerous kitchen utensils (pots, bowls, baking dishes), a dishwasher with tabs, a steamer, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, an oven, a 4-burner stove, toaster, electric kettle, slicer, coffee maker with coffee, a selection of teas, dish towels, dish soap, paper towels, and spices. The spacious living room has a cozy atmosphere with a large sofa, a separate dining area, and satellite TV. Various books, games, and puzzles are available. The spacious, covered balcony is furnished with a table and chairs, a patio umbrella, and a hanging chair. A washing machine with detergent, a freestanding dryer, and ironing facilities are also available in the apartment. Parking is available for 3 cars right next to the house. Check-in is available starting at 4:00 p.m. Keys can be picked up in person on-site or via our easily accessible key safe. You’ll receive more details shortly before your arrival. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m. Pets are not allowed. The visitor’s tax of 0.6 EUR per person (ages 14 and up) per night and 0.30 EUR per person (ages 6–13) per night will be charged separately on site. Included in the price are daily 4-hour admission to the water park, a full linen package, firewood for the fireplace, charcoal for the grill, Wi-Fi, and standard utility costs.
