Mark and Susan are a lovely, engaging couple! They are very caring and attentive to the needs of their guests. They will greet you upon arrival and are willing to bend over backwards to meet all of your needs! The property is an absolutely quiet, gorgeous country/forest retreat, with the freshest air and most beautiful view of the valley from multiple locations on the property. This property is big enough to host a large group of people and still allow for small group discussions, with plenty of different seating areas, and even alone time when someone needs it. The kitchen is fully stocked, better than my own, and I can not imagine a guest having a need that's not already available to them somewhere in the house. Our 12-year-old participant absolutely loved the game room (as did I )! What a peaceful, joyful weekend

Dear Susan and Mark.Thank you for providing our family (all 10 of us) with such a lovely place to stay during our recent visit to Oregon to attend our niece's wedding in Sweet Home. The Lodge became our home away from home....so beautifully nestled among towering trees and shared with friendly wildlife. What a treasure! We reveled in the gorgeous sunsets while we visited and relaxed on the wrap around porch with family and friends....the bride and groom even stopped by!Inside, the comfortable furnishings including elegant antiques and fun decor, invited gatherings that extended well into the night. Of special note, our son and his family (including three young girls) loved staying on the lower floor where they enjoyed a "hang out" space to play games, watch movies and just "be". The serene surroundings we all enjoyed at the Lodge made it a place we'll long remember. We highly recommend the Lodge for its spacious accommodations and pet friendliness. Our only regret is that we ran out of time to visit your sweet miniature horses!!

Owners Susan and Mark met us to let us in, and gave us the low down on what was where. The "pillow bar" was awesome, found just the perfect pillow like home. Shower on main floor (didn't use the others) didn't change temperature as we used kitchen sink, either! Lounge space to read was nice. Watch for pitch from the big pine trees going out to the deck, but that is expected up in the trees! Kitchen was way better than ours at home. Location easy to find, Google to us right there from I-5. And it was sooo quiet. Dogs loved it both outside and inside. Nice property to walk dogs along the long drive. View was amazing. And the air was good & fresh. For just getting going this place is going to be even more awesome as it gets fine tuned. We stayed one night, but next time should book two! Basement has a fireplace, so smells like a wood stove a bit. But not in upper two floors of you are sensitive.
