The apartments are located in our romantic “Kate Ouvriers” between Usedom and the Peene River. They have been recently renovated. The “LebensArt” (“Art of Living”) apartment is 50 square meters and consists of a “basic layout” featuring a living room with a kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a hallway. This means it offers enough space for 2 people (a child can be accommodated as well). Our “LebensArt” is tastefully furnished with many amenities: a stove, multifunction microwave, dishwasher, hair dryer, and safe are available, as well as hypoallergenic bedding and eco-friendly cleaning products. The floors are made of real wood planks. The bathroom features a spa shower. An LCD satellite TV, a stereo system, and Internet access are just as standard as a private terrace (with a parasol, table, three chairs, and access to the outdoors). As an OPTION, the apartment can be expanded for an additional fee to include a bedroom with a bathroom, a second kitchen, and a separate entrance in the attic (over 30 m²). This allows for a maximum of four adults and two children to enjoy spacious and very comfortable accommodations.

Schmatzin—a quiet yet central location: The property is located in the quiet village of Schmatzin, yet it is not isolated. The charming Peene Valley is very close by, and the vast, fine-sand beaches of Usedom are practically right on your doorstep. The “Ostsee-Kate” (“Baltic Kate”) is located on a cul-de-sac. The A20 highway is just 15 km away, providing excellent connections to Berlin and Hamburg. A train station is 5 km from Schmatzin. You can reach Usedom in half an hour (also by bike and train!) and the Peene River—the “Amazon of the North”—in ten minutes. Plus, you can hike and bike as much as you like. The Hanseatic cities of Greifswald and Anklam are very close by; Stralsund and Rügen can be reached in about 45 minutes, and Rostock in about an hour. This way, you can combine city tours, swimming, and excursions with scenic explorations and a relaxing retreat in your elegant cottage.

'LebensArt'—comfort for two:
This 4-star accommodations are designed for two people. In addition to the bedroom, satellite TV, and a reading nook, there is a living room with a high-quality kitchen, a dining area, and a (bed)sofa. A child can sleep here if needed. The bathroom features a large wall mirror, a hair dryer, a toilet, a towel warmer, and a spa shower. Daily housekeeping and bed-making services are available upon request. A safe is also provided. In the laundry room, you can use a washing machine, a dryer, an iron, and a freezer. The terrace, with three chairs and a parasol, is perfect for dining and relaxing. On the lawn, there are several benches and three lounge chairs available.
The “LebensArt” apartment has been awarded four stars by “West Pomerania Tourism.” Please note that this rating applies only to occupancy by two people, as the third bed is located in the living room (sofa). However, it is certainly possible for parents to book the apartment with one child.
If you’d like to stay at the “Ostsee-Kate” with more than two adults or two adults and two children, you can book the corresponding accommodations.
