Perched on a forest ridge with sweeping 360° views of the Great Rift Valley, Meroi House is a peaceful, retreat about an hour from Ngong. Wake up to birdsong and valley mist, cool off in the private pool, and cook under the stars in the outdoor kitchen.
Inside, the house blends clean, modern lines with warm natural materials — designed to feel like part of the forest rather than a break from it.
All four bedrooms are ensuite with their own unique bathrooms, and three come with loft spaces for an afternoon nap or quiet reading. For lighter meals, there's also a fully fitted indoor kitchen.

Out back, an orchard doubles as a private sanctuary — complete with a gazebo, fireplace, hammocks, BBQ grill, and sink, perfect for a slow Sunday brunch. The orchard itself is a working, edible landscape — bananas, coffee, guava, loquat, hibiscus, lemon, tangerine, mango, pomegranate, dragon fruit, and blackberry grow alongside herbs like lemongrass, rosemary, sage, thyme, Lippia javanica, mint, aloe vera, oregano, ginger, and turmeric. A secondary rustic wall wraps the house for extra privacy and security, while a separate fence around the 5-acre virgin forest keeps the wilder side of the property just for you to explore, undisturbed.

Inside, the house blends clean, modern lines with warm natural materials — designed to feel like part of the forest rather than a break from it. A dedicated workspace and reliable wifi keep you connected if you need to be, though most guests find themselves putting the laptop away by day two. The property runs on 24-hour solar power, so you'll have electricity around the clock without the noise or hassle of a generator.

Tucked away in the forest, a small A-frame cabin is free for all guests to use as a day lounge or sundowner spot. If you'd like it set up exclusively for a private dinner or sundowners just for your group, that's available for an additional $25.

Just outside the villa's boundary wall, a sundowner bar and fire pit — reached by a well-lit path safe to walk unaccompanied — is another beautiful spot to catch the evening light over the Rift Valley. It's free for all guests to use; for a private, exclusively-set-up sundowner evening there, that's available for an additional $25.

For adventurous guests, Meroi House also has a truly one-of-a-kind cave room tucked beneath the pool banda, accessed by ladder — available as an add-on sleeping spot for groups who want an extra, unforgettable place for someone in their party to sleep, for an additional $40/night. The main house bathroom is a short walk away. Note: this space is accessed via ladder and is not suitable for young children, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone uncomfortable with ladder access.

For an extra $10, we offer a guided tour of the surrounding forest and viewpoints — a great way to get oriented on arrival or spot local birdlife with someone who knows the land well.
