The cabin was clean enough and in a great location for exploring everything Hocking Hills has to offer. Since it was listed as a new property, there was a small discount, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that linens were provided, even though they weren’t pictured in the listing.However, finding the property was a challenge, and communication with the host could have been better. Responses to questions were often delayed or sometimes never came at all. Be aware that there are three houses on the same property, and the location is not clearly marked from the road, making it difficult to know which house you are supposed to stay in.One important tip: make sure to save the Wi-Fi password before arriving! Unfortunately, we had absolutely no cell service at the property, so I couldn’t access the app to retrieve it once we got there.Overall, we still had a great time exploring the area, and the location was a definite plus. Just keep your expectations realistic and remember that sometimes you get what you pay for.

Great location. Beautiful pond. Better curtains than the sheers listed in photos. Definitely needs updated & exterior photos.Things I wish I'd known: we couldnt eat some of our food bc, despite the photos, there was no range. Microwave didnt work. The bright hall in the photos was blocked off with a bookcase leading to a place someone else could stay?? It wasnt private - 2 cabins are connected by the deck, one of which had lights on at night, & owner lives next door. Not a big deal but "cabin on 12 acres" lead me to believe it'd be more private. Had to save used toilet paper due to septic issue.Red flags: I noticed the 6 small windows in the bedrooms weren't locked so I locked them before leaving. Came back a few hours later, 5/6 windows were unlocked, one partially open. There are no curtains on these & someone could've easily looked in on us from the deck or from the blocked off area which lead to a basement. Had to stuff pillows into the frames to block the view. An extremely loud bang came from & shook the side of the building & windows late at night...thought maybe a branch fell from a tree but no. Couldve been someone messing with us or maybe the sliding door we didnt have acces to was slammed shut?? Glad we brought a gun bc we were a bit freaked out.
