Tucked into the North Alabama forest at the entrance to Bankhead National Forest, this one-of-a-kind private lodge brings up to 14 guests together beneath one roof. It is an ideal setting for multi-generational family vacations, reunions, milestone weekends, holiday gatherings and intentional group retreats.

There is space for everyone to settle in comfortably, with seven bedrooms, 3 king beds, 3 queen beds, 1 full bed and 6.5 bathrooms. Multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas allow your group to spend time together without feeling as though everyone is on top of one another.

Inside, original woodwork, stone fireplaces and distinctive architectural details give Ravenwood the warmth and character of a historic forest lodge. Prepare family meals in the full kitchen, linger around the table after dinner or find a quiet corner when you need a little time to yourself.

Outside, the pace naturally begins to slow.

Children can explore the property’s trails and natural surroundings while adults enjoy coffee on the porch overlooking the trees. Go on a hike to the pollinator field cultivated and planted with area wildflowers to attract birds, butterflies and pollinating insects. Swings are ready for visitors to sit observe and rest in the beauty of nature.

Guest access
Guests have access to 40 private acres that includes the entire lodge and the designated outdoor spaces included with the reservation, including the porches, pavilion, hot tub, sauna, trails, outdoor gathering areas and on-site parking. Bankhead National Forest access is available surrounding the property as well.

Other things to note
Ravenwood is a secluded woodland property designed for guests who appreciate privacy, nature and a slower pace.

Cell service can be limited in the surrounding forest, although Wi-Fi is available at the lodge.

The property includes numerous stairs, uneven outdoor terrain and natural elevation changes. Ravenwood is not considered an accessible property and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please supervise children closely while using the trails, hot tub, sauna, fire areas and other outdoor spaces.

Because Ravenwood is surrounded by nature, guests may encounter wildlife, insects, changing trail conditions and other normal elements of a forest environment.

Parties and unapproved events are not permitted. Only number of guests listed on reservation allowed on property. The property is smoke- and vape-free, and hunting is prohibited. Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m.
