A warm welcome to the historic “Forsthaus Densberg.”
Our vacation home is located at the foot of the magnificent Kellerwald, in the heart of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park, with its vast forests and hiking trails—a paradise for nature lovers seeking relaxation. Our Forsthaus offers a cozy atmosphere for families with children and guests seeking peace and quiet who enjoy nature.
The famous Kellerwaldsteig connects the villages and valleys of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature and National Park, offering a unique nature experience along its 156-kilometer circular hiking trail. One of the most famous peaks in the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park is the Wüstegarten (675 m), featuring the Kellerwald Tower (a 28-meter-high observation deck) with a wonderful view over northern Hesse. The surrounding area offers many other opportunities for hiking in the mountains and through a scenically diverse landscape.
The town of Jesberg is located in northern Hesse between Marburg and Kassel. This makes it easy to explore many different cities and regions. The Schwalm region (Little Red Riding Hood Country) borders the town directly.
In the main town of Jesberg (about 5 km away), a wide variety of recreational activities are available. Jesberg also offers a heated outdoor pool, restaurants, a tennis court, a Ninja Park, a sports field, playgrounds, and much more. A grocery store, butcher shop, and bakery are also available.
Lake Eder is located very nearby. With a wide range of activities, it is a popular travel destination.
