Ski/Hike weekend

The cabin was more than large enough for 12 adults to eat, hang out, and sleep comfortably! A great spot to get to hikes with an amazing view or up to the slopes to ski.

Nice Family Stay near Gallatin River

Our family enjoyed staying at this property in December. The surrounding area is beautiful and I can imagine the area is as lovely in the spring and summer. House was comfortable and clean and directions from house manager was clear and direct. We were able to enjoy the area's amenities within 30 minutes to an hour of the house.

House description of "stunning lodge" is spot on.

The home is roomy, beautiful and very comfortable. The location is breathtaking, and situated between Bozeman and Big Sky making day excursions super easy. Bonus was both our sons caught trout in the river right below the cabin. Thank you for sharing this awesome home.

Amazing ... as advertised.. only better!

This is an exceptional home. It was perfect! The family room/kitchen area was more than we could hope for and made for the perfect gathering spot for our extended family group of 13! We loved it and highly recommend. It exceeded our expectations.

Didn't want to leave

Honestly we loved this house, the only problem was that our stay was way too short! Would absolutely love to get back to this home in the summertime and enjoy the river a bit more (it is a steep hike down but so worth it!). Everything was so clean and there was so much room, we'll definitely be back, thank you!

The house itself was great! We were a little bummed; however, that you could not see the river from the house nor was that strip of the water a viable option for fly fishing. That is the whole reason we spent so much to stay here! Also, RENTER BEWARE: the internet connectivity is spotty at best, the satellite tv did not work, and there is NO CELL SERVICE whatsoever! There is no mention of this in the VRBO description. We never would have stayed here had we known there was no cell service, as my husband had to work during the day and couldn’t! There were 2 house phones and neither of them worked either! I tried charging them (they were cordless) and still wouldn’t work. Thank God we did not have an emergency. I couldn’t even get through to the host (via text) to let them know because there was no service! I tried email and got no response. The heater also did not work. However, I was able to do some research and figure out how to fix it. Overall, not impressed with how much we spent to stay at this house for what we got.

Stunning location! Thirty to forty minutes from Big Sky Ski Resort but a beautiful drive. The place had everything needed to recover from a great day of skiing

Spring Skiing

Perfect for four couples and a kid. 40 minutes from Big Sky ski resort. Hour and fifteen from West Yellowstone for snowmobiling into the National Park.

A Great Stay Runs Through It

Wonderful experience for my friends and I. We were looking for a low-key place to celebrate our friend’s wedding to be, and we found it. Accommodations were lovely, house and views were wonderful. Only constructive feedback I could give is there was a little discrepancy with the address - it either ends in 88, or 89 and it was wrong either on VRBO or the following communications after the booking. Caused a little issue with the cab companies we booked. BUT still a beautiful 5 star stay.

Incredible Spot! Feeling fortunate to have Stayed.

To the property management company, thank you! Friends and I felt spoiled to get to stay at such a nice place. To the owners of the home, your cabin getaway is a special place in terms of the landscape and the beautiful work you've done on the cabin to make it feel warm and rustic. I would and will recommend this location to anyone trying to go sky big sky for the weekend. It was a perfect getaway.

Beautiful riverfront property

The house was just as advertised. There was plenty of room with a large great room and open floor plan. The house was well decorated. Everything was in working order and the kitchen was well stocked. We did not use the grill. I understand with this location there is only satellite internet—it is not the fastest. The internet is fine for browsing, but streaming is not possible and zoom was suboptimal. The “what’s nearby” must be measured as the crow flies. The mileage is inaccurate. The distance to Big Sky Resort is almost double what is reported in the what’s nearby, around 25 miles or 35-40 minutes.

Excellent house

Great house, very spacious and well stocked kitchen. We had an awesome week skiing at Big Sky…. Abit of a drive, but knew that going in. Very clean and management company responded immediately to afew small maintenance issues. Would definitely rent this home again. Wonderful stay!

Cabin in the mountains

Beautiful place with the river nearby. Hot tub was real stinky the first night. Maintenance came later morning and emptied. We couldn't use it that day or night because it was heating. We were there for Christmas and there were no decorations. We were offered decorations for an exhorbient price added to the bill. The 3 pull out hideabeds were a disgrace! Mattresses were unacceptable!

Luxurious Mountain Home

This property was incredible. The hosts were responsive and accommodated our large group with pleasure. The home was clean, well decorated, and was situated in the beautiful wilderness, yet a short drive to all of Bozeman’s amenities.

Loved it

The place is as beutiful as we hoped, absolutely loved it. Just now that there is no cell service, once you log into the wifi that isn't a problem, but make sure to have the check-in info saved before you get there.

Great Getaway

The property was awesome! Perfect location for skiing and Yellowstone. We had a big group and the house was perfect ! Our first big family trip with the whole family! Awesome memories were made.

still waiting to be made whole for broken hot tub

if you like hot tubs barely above freezing, and property managers that take 4-5 days to address it, without offering any compensation for your troubles, then look no further than crooked canyon lodge. that said, i would gladly re-visit this review if the owner/operator would return my inquiries about this problem.

Awesome house

My first time renting a house and it was so easy and the house was great. I wanted something on the river and it was beautiful. Only wish the river access would have been easier for the older people in our group. Too dangerous for them to try. Road traffic is loud but not much can be done about noise.

Family vacation

We were mostly pleased with everything. I would say the river access was almost nonexistent. The path to the picnic table could have been mowed better. We used the grill three times. The first two without incident. The third it wouldn’t light and then erupted in a ball of fire. Luckily, other than some singed eyebrows and arms, it turned out ok. You might want to check it out. We couldn’t believe the amount of paper goods, soaps, detergents etc that were supplied. Lots of spices and seasonings, much more than I have at home! A fun time was had by all.
