The MS Lieselotte is a 135 m² houseboat, stylishly furnished with a nautical ambiance, that accommodates up to 9 people in three individually designed bedrooms. The houseboat is idyllically situated at the Medem Lock in Otterndorf, ideal for relaxing coastal activities, and offers a wide range of leisure and wellness options for both families with children and couples. This 100-year-old former cargo ship combines historic charm with modern comfort, creating a unique and cozy vacation dream. The beautiful location at the Medem Lock and the proximity to the dike area and the Otterndorf Elbe beach invite you to enjoy eventful vacation days. An absolute must: sit on the dike at dusk and enjoy the view and the open expanse. “Watching the boats” on the Elbe, as we’d say. Marveling at the tides—high and low—and eating fish sandwiches are two more items on your to-do list.
Why not relax for a change? After a refreshing walk in the crisp coastal breeze, you can unwind in your living room by the cozy warmth of the fireplace and simply let your mind wander. Your vacation bonus in comfort and wellness: Our houseboat Lieselotte features a temperature-controlled hot tub on the outdoor deck (April–October). How about a sauna with light therapy, a cozy bathtub, an outdoor shower (April–October), and a large wave-shaped lounger with a view of the dike? Check it off your list.
Want to embark on a pirate adventure with your family? You got it! Our little guests can take over the ship-in-a-bottle “Lieschen” with its steering wheel, lookout, and flagpole. If that’s not enough for you, the adventure can continue in the “crew quarters.” Here, a ball pit and a climbing sofa with a cozy reading nook await you. It’s always a great idea, even in lousy weather.

Note on availability:
Three parking spaces are available 150 meters away, free of charge, at the Elbblick Inn and Guesthouse. A handcart is available for luggage and shopping. The outdoor area is under video surveillance. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in this accommodation or on the outdoor grounds. Non-smoking property.
The motor vessel Lieselotte is a 100-year-old former cargo ship. The Lieselotte is permanently moored but moves freely in the water and is subject to the fluctuating water levels of the Medem. The Medem is not suitable for swimming. The hot tub and outdoor shower are available only during the season from April through October. Minimum age for bookings is 25 years. Maximum occupancy is 6 adults, 3 children up to 17 years old, and 1 infant. Rental price is for 6 people and 1 infant. The 7th, 8th, and 9th guests stay for an additional charge of EUR 20.00 per night. We strictly prohibit bachelor/bachelorette parties and party vacations in our terms and conditions. Commercial use is prohibited.
