Would you like to visit La Herradura—a well-known yet off-the-beaten-path gem on the Andalusian coast—but stay in a quiet residential neighborhood? Then our newly renovated 3-bedroom house is the perfect choice for you, your family, and up to 2 pets. You can rent our fully equipped vacation home for a few days or for months, accommodating up to 7 people, and even swap the gray German winter for a second “summer” at a special winter rate.
The community pool is located right behind the house, though it’s only open in the summer and accessible during the day. No one can see into your living room through the huge, externally mirrored windows while you enjoy the sun in the living room without any restrictions.
The house is equipped with excellent Wi-Fi, modern energy-efficient air conditioning, a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, toaster, egg cooker, and all necessary kitchen equipment—and, of course, a TV. Of course, there’s also heating, roller blinds, and fly screens.
You can take a leisurely 12-minute walk to the beach, or reach it in 3 minutes by car or bike. The nearest supermarket and bus stop are a 6-minute walk away.
You can park for free on the street in front of the house, and there’s a large garage available for your motorcycle, bicycles, or sports equipment—unfortunately, it cannot be used for cars.
You can take your dog for a comfortable walk nearby.
Countless activities await you!
Enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the clear waters of the long, horseshoe-shaped beach; rent kayaks, surfboards, and sailboats right on the beach; or go diving in one of Europe’s most famous underwater sites. There are 6 diving schools in town.
Go horseback riding in the beautiful, hilly countryside or explore the rolling hills on your bike.
Visit the traditional old towns, castles, and markets in Almunecar, Nerja, Salobreña, and Frigiliana, or many other attractions in the surrounding area. For example, the Alhambra in Granada, the third most-visited attraction in the world (see photos). The adjacent Albaicín neighborhood is well worth a visit, and don’t forget that the city of Granada alone is worth the trip. Granada is just a 1-hour drive away.
Rum lovers shouldn’t miss a tour and tasting at Europe’s last traditional rum distillery in Motril.
Countless restaurants on the beach and in the old town offer culinary specialties, fantastic fish and meat dishes, as well as traditional paella, which is a must-try on the Andalusian coast.
The region around La Herradura is a vast production area for tropical fruits such as Mango, chirimoya, nispero, oranges, bananas, ... and, of course, avocados. We can offer you fruit from our farm, which we grow—of course—without any chemical products.
Please don’t forget to cover the sofas with a blanket if you bring a pet, and please be careful with the hardwood floors in the living room.
Bottom line: Once you’ve been to La Herradura, you’re sure to come back again and again.
