This spacious Ka'anapali Shores one bedroom suite is fully furnished and features a remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances! The living room sofa converts into a queen bed and there is comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully appointed and stocked with all the cookware, dishes, glasses and utensils you need to cook your favorite meals and fill with your favorite foods, beverages and treats. There is a Farmers Market down the street with locally sourced fresh produce as well as a shopping center across the street for you to stock up on your favorite items.

The resort offers all the amenities of a AAA class full service resort with 463 rooms, two swimming pools, hot tub, restaurant, lounge, fitness center, spa, convenience store, tennis and shuffle board. The Garden Pool has an array of fun features including a new hot tub, multi-color LED lighting at night, waterfalls, tropical garden and other aquatic features. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the new Ocean Pool bar before spending a relaxing afternoon poolside. If you enjoy grilling by the beach, there are BBQs available on the resort's lush tropical grounds.

There are several restaurants and eateries nearby. Java Jazz Restaurant and Bar is just across the street in the shopping center. They have great food and the music will keep you coming back! Down the street is Dolly's Pizza and Pub for great pizza, sandwiches and beer, as well as several other local places for you to enjoy.

The resort is a short drive to great shopping and Luaus, Whalers Village, Napili, Kapalua Bay, and the marine reserve at Honolua Bay.

*Note: Kaanapali Shores charges $25/day plus tax Resort Fee, this includes your parking pass. The Fitness Center is $10.00 per day.

Maui Vacation

Excellent , room was nice and reasonably priced, I guess. Bed could be better, an electric kettle or Keurig would be an improvement. Patio doors need an upgrade to open, close, and lock. One chair should be replaced.

The property grounds are very clean. The room itself is dated, the oven was terrible, cooking supplies are very poor quality and the patio door was extremely difficult to open and close. Outside of all of that it was very roomy and comfortable ( the sofa bed needs updating). Loved all the extra items like beach chairs. It stated there was a cooler for use but we never found it and we did replace the broken beach umbrella we found so it is available for the next guest. There was enough laundry supplies for 8 loads which was plenty, we never ran out of trash bags or dishwashing supplies and the limited amount of spices was a nice find to have!

Returning to Maui was worth it!

The online listing was exactly as they listed. Often the pictures are misleading. This one was exactly as indicates. We knew what to expect. The unit was what I would describe as "tired", due to the age of the resort. It did not hamper our stay. We came to Hawaii to be by the ocean and to enjoy the sunshine, not to stay in doors. The number one thing we look for in a resort is safety and convenience. This unit provided us with this. It is perfectly located close to grocery stores, food trucks, the beach, hotel lounges, the ocean front boardwalk, and so much more. With our current Canadian dollar, this unit is excellent value for the money. We appreciated how easy it was to deal with the management company and the resort. Our overall experience on our trip was perfect. We have come back to Canada relaxed, rested, and refocused. Thank you! We would like to recommend this unit as a budget friendly unit to anyone.

The room was spacious, clean and had what we needed. I appreciated the brita filter they provided. The people at the reception desk and other staff were helpful, friendly and kind. The pool was clean and nice and the trees providing shade by the ocean was divine. I wish we had more of a direct view to the ocean rather than the partial view. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

Cockroaches - Do not book this property

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights before realizing this place was infested with cockroaches. Since the windows and doorwalls don't fully seal, it's a nightmare. We ended up leaving partway through our stay and the property manager insisted this was a new problem despite several prior reviews mentioning these issues. Do yourself a favor and don't book this place. We overlooked the reviews and (literally) paid the price for it.

25th anniversary in Maui....

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was good, could use some updates but certainly fine for our need. The wing of the property we were in was under construction right next to us. That became a bit annoying day after day but we enjoyed our stay. Property staff was great, Managenement staff was great, location was great, not being in Minnesota in February was great.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 422 has a cockroach infested kitchen. We had to keep all our food stored away in the fridge and microwave. Had them running around the coffee machine, up the sides of the stove, coming out of the burners and running under the fridge. Looking at other recent reviews they had the same experience. The property manager denied anyone bringing this up before, which is funny because the recent reviews prove otherwise... Some of the reviews they responded to. Ha. The property owner did manage to bring us ant traps. When we pulled clean plates out of the cabinet dead ants where between them. They attempted to fix the sliding door by putting some WD40 but it did not help, it whistles with any breeze of wind and is very difficult to open. Probably why there are bugs, no seal on the front or back door. They said they will buy any chemicals we want to kill to roaches .. just what we came on vacation for. Lastly, the bedding had an airport baggage sticker from a previous occupant. They sent us a new blanket. The unit could be nice if it was maintained. Highly recommend not booking this place unless you want to deal with what we did. We spent the first week of our honeymoon at a different property and it was very clean with no issues whatsoever. Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!!! **However I will note that other units with the actual hotel might be nice, this one is just owned by a rental property organization. The hotel grounds were nice and well maintained, the building is so close to a nice beach and walking.

Clean and comfortable Place to stay.

The only thing we didn’t like was a couple bugs would come out at night. Not sure what type, but looked like the roach family. The bed was big and comfortable and you can see the ocean from the room/balcony. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely location, but condo needs updating.

Very nice location, but the condo was outdated and missing lots. The kitchen was missing essential utensils, and there was a cockroach on the counter. The condo did not many beach amenities (chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc..). It also did not have an instructional manual in the condo. We would stay at Kaanapali Shores again, but we will be choosing a different condo next time.

The place had bugs all over the kitchen. Left a pineapple out for about 10 mins and it was swarmed with bugs. The sliding glass door didn’t open properly. The toilet didn’t flush well and the shower didn’t drain.

Such a great place!

Property managers were excellent in making arrangements for us to come in a day earlier than we expected. Communication and check in were super easy! Condo is well-maintained although the bathroom just needs some updating. The grounds of the resort are absolutely stunning! Two great pools and a great coffee shop down in the lobby! Our favorite part about this condo was the location! Walking distance to everything you need! Grocery store, restaurants, and the food truck park! Condo also has great TVs with good cable for the days you just want to lay around and be lazy on vacation! We would definitely stay here again!

Acceptable Stay

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, I'm from Chicago, not from Emeryville. The property description was only partially accurate. There was an ocean view, but it was only visible if you were sitting in one corner of the balcony. The couch and bed were very comfortable, but the furnishings were generally dated. The bathroom and all tile work really needs an update. The shower did not drain appropriately the entire time we were there. The most disappointing part was that the only hotel amenity we had access to was the pool. Everything else was off-limits due to the "condo"/owned unit we stayed in. It was GREAT to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Overall, 3/5 stars. Adequate for what we needed it for (a place to sleep) but needs a facelift.

Nice condo

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and very comfortable. We did have some issues with trying to get both tv’s to work properly and the kitchen, although it had everything we needed, was VERY limited. Having friends over for a meal was difficult with only 4 forks. Overall though, it was a great vacation and we did enjoy the condo

Aston Kaanapali Shores is Great +++

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here before. We really like that there is a restaurant on premises. The condo 422 is nice. It has a slight ocean view. The air conditioning works well when needed. There is a little noise from the parking lot below, but this wasn't a real problem. The condo was in great condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be sure to take the free scuba diving class. This is oceanfront and they have a beach that is about 100 feet wide. There are two pools and both were maintained very well. The management company responds to emails very quickly and was very responsive. The beach is rocky about 300 feet into the water. Be sure to wear water shoes.
