Blissful Lakefront Living Minutes From Dover Bay & Sandpoint

The Lakeshore Lodge is a stunning, 5-bedroom retreat on the shores of beautiful Lake Pend O'Reille. Located at the end of a tranquil, traffic-free lane, Lakeshore Lodge offers blissful seclusion yet is only 3 minutes from the Dover Bay community and 7 minutes from Sandpoint, Idaho - voted America's 'Most Beautiful Small Town' by USA Today and Rand McNally.

Lakeshore Lodge is all North Idaho - big beams, big trees, big views - but step inside and you'll discover a retreat that is more chic than rustic: the wood and stainless steel kitchen; the ridiculously comfortable leather sofa set; the elegant tiled bathrooms; the spacious bedrooms (all but one facing the lake); the ample second-floor deck; the jacuzzi etc.

Just a few steps from the front door brings you to our private deck and L-shaped dock. You'll enjoy this special spot all year round: swimming, boating, paddling or just admiring the glorious views across the lake with a glass of wine in hand.

The expansive backyard is big enough for a family soccer match and includes a large jungle gym for the little ones. The back deck is perfect for barbecuing and has a large jacuzzi for relaxing tired muscles after a long day skiing at Schweitzer or hiking the area's numerous trails.

The Lakeshore Lodge has five bedrooms: two on the ground floor and three (including the master) on the second floor. The standard bed set up is three queens, one twin and a double set of bunk beds (big enough for adults.) We've also got a high-quality queen blow-up bed for bigger groups. Two big families? Three couples? No problem.

It has three bathrooms: one downstairs (2 sinks, 1 shower, 1 toilet) and two upstairs (master en suite with 2 sinks + shared bathroom for the other two bedrooms.)

Other appliances / amenities of note: LCD TV with cable, DVD player, wine fridge (I can stock with bottles from my collection if you're interested), gas fireplace with hearth.

Another plus: my property manager is your next door neighbor, and my relatives are all over town. There will always be somebody who can help if you have any issues or need local guidance on where to go and what to see!

Excellent place, great host

Our group of 10 greatly enjoyed our stay at the Lakeshore Lodge. The place was well furnished, the kitchen was well stocked, and the numerous games, puzzles & books and the hot tub kept us entertained. The location was also excellent--right on the lake, very close to Sandpoint, and 30 mts from Schweitzer. Communication was always prompt as well. Highly recommend.

Wonderful family vacation

This is our 3rd stay at this property. It has everything to ensure a wonderful vacation. Owner and property manager are welcoming and great to work with. The house is fully equipped at every level. All you need to do is show up ready for a grwat time. I highly recommend this property.

Awesome week at the lake!

Wonderful property, perfect for family getaway! House was immaculate yet homey with everything needed to enjoy a week at the lake. Grandsons loved the outdoor play space and yard. Dock was perfect to park boat, swim and fish. We will be back!

Another Great Experience

This was our second year staying here with our family. The home and property are outstanding, everything from appliances to art is thoughtfully curated. Great place to stay if you have lots of ages to entertain. Close to marina and trails and quiet neighborhood.

Family Ski Trip

What a beautiful home to spend some family ski time in. We were close to the mountain , and had a beautiful view of the lake. This home had everything we could possibly need. Fantastic time!

Fantastic Stay

We loved our stay! The house was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The neighborhood is quiet and the lake is absolutely beautiful. The amenities at the home are fantastic. The bedding and towels are great, two refrigerators, two dryers for beach towels, a big back yard and large dock worked really well for our family. We will definitely rent this property again!

Everything was better than described in the details of the property.

The home was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals for nine people. The home is beautiful and very well maintained. The location was quiet but yet close to town and right on the lake. I will rent here again.

Fabulous!

Great vacation get away! Wonderful entertaining space for our family playing games, eating and indulging in the outdoor spaces (swimming, hot tub, covered deck area and even a bonfire pit). We enjoyed every minute and would definitely return. Thank you, Scott, for sharing your beautiful home.

Amazing Getaway on the Lake

This property was absolutely fantastic. The house is beautiful, clean and very nicely furnished. Location was right on the lake in little Dover. We swam from the dock every day and enjoyed the multiple patio settings. Inside the house was amazing - kitchen was extremely well stocked, the rooms were beautiful, the beds were comfy. Our party of 8 had ample room to relax. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent Getaway

Fantastic lake vacation!

I had my doubts staying at a rental place that had little or no reviews at the time I booked it. But this place far exceeded my expectations. It is brand new and well stocked from bedding to towels to kitchen items--everything you need. The setting couldn't be better--right at the end of a quiet little lane. The only thing we regretted about our vacation is that it wasn't longer!

Peaceful Retreat

This is our 4th stay at this location and we absolutely love it! It is always clean, fully stocked with all you need, and quick friendly communication with the owners and property manager. This is an extremely peaceful and quiet part of Dover. We enjoyed several meals outside, multiple walks around Dover, including one where we saw a moose and it’s baby, and lots of water time. Many memories were made with our 4 generation family. Highly recommend!

Great family vacation spot

Lovely space to accommodate three families. With kids ranging from 7 years down to 10 months, it was great that we didn’t need to travel with extra stuff as everything we needed was provided. Bridget even brought over a kiddie pool which the kids loved playing in. The house has the most beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the Evans Brothers coffee so much we went back into town and bought three more bags! Overall we had an amazing vacation!

Everything we wanted

This property is everything it shows online. Gorgeous views of the water and we had amazing fall colors. Our littles really enjoyed the play equipment and the trampoline! It was roomy enough for all 11 of us! Would definitely rent this property again! The Brixens were awesome to deal with and Bridgett was very helpful as well! Thank-you for making our family vacation amazing!!

Perfect family Summer Getaway

This is the 2nd stay at Lakeshore house for our family. It is the perfect getaway. The house has everything you need, just show up. The area is quiet and safe for children with little to no traffic. The yard is large enough for yard games and the little ones love the big toy. The dock can accommodate 2 boats easily and the lake is so quiet and private, it's your own giant pool. The lakeshore house is our favorite summer destination.

Daddy Brixen grew up in Sandpoint and always dreamed of having a place on the lake. Mommy Brixen was born in Bangkok, moved to the USA with her family and later met Daddy at a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong. Now Daddy and Mommy have got four boys (Tai, Logan, Drake & Kiva) who absolutely love the Lakeshore Lodge.

The first time you walk out on that dock, you'll understand. It is very, very difficult to find such a private, quiet spot on the lake that is located so close to town. I know, because I spent the first half of my life exploring Lake Pend O'Reille and the mountains surrounding it.
