But the luxury doesn’t end there – unwind with an outdoor shower or challenge your loved ones to a friendly game of horseshoes, darts, or even the trampoline that’s sunk into the ground for added fun.

For those seeking relaxation and warmth, gather around the fire pit as you share stories, or lounge by the pool with an array of pool toys to keep everyone entertained.

Convenience meets luxury with nearby attractions such as the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and Southwest Church, serving as the shuttle pick-up for renowned music festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach. While shuttle pick-up locations may change, rest assured that you're just a short walk away from the action.

And when it's time to retire for the night, sink into the comfort of king-sized beds with plush bedding that ensures a restful sleep. Essential amenities such as shampoo, soap, blow dryers, and straightening irons are all provided, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience without a worry in the world.

The swimming pool features a shallow sun shelf, perfect for basking in the warm sunlight while reclining under pool umbrellas. Whether you're lounging with a book or simply soaking up the serene ambiance, this sun shelf offers a tranquil oasis for superior relaxation.

3 king beds & 1 queen. Two bedrooms share Jack & Jill bathroom w/double sink. Large living room w/gas fireplace. Large kitchen has everything from Kerug , regular coffee maker, Vita-mixer, Juicer, food processor, slow cooker, rice cooker and seasonings w/1 oven w/broiler.

We have it all to keep you entertained! Enjoy a sports field for football, baseball, or Frisbee golf, and play some friendly rounds of Bocce ball or Croquet. There’s also a horseshoe pit, ping pong table, board games, hula hoops, and pool toys for everyone to enjoy.

Please note that this is our home too, and we’ve decorated it with family photos, which many of our guests enjoy. We hope you feel right at home and appreciate the personal touch as much as we do.

RULES & CONTRACT

TERMS:
I require a conversation with all potential guests prior to booking. As a result, your reservation will not be accepted until this conversation takes place.

Additionally, a separate contract must be signed within 24 hours after booking and before entry is allowed. If you would like to review the contract prior to booking, please let me know, and I will be happy to email you a copy.

By booking, you agree to the separate rental contract and confirm the number of people stated on the booking site. Please note that both day guest count & children 12 months or older count toward the total number of guests. The maximum allowed is 10 people, including day guests. A reservation listed for 8 guests must reflect the same 8 individuals for the duration of the stay. Rotating different guests every 2–3 days is not permitted. Any unauthorized guest rotation or substitution will incur a $250 fee per person, per occurrence. This policy is strictly enforced.

The number of vehicles must be declared on the Docusign contract. The maximum allowed is 4 cars for up to 10 people, unless prior approval is obtained. Without approval, there will be a charge of $400 per car, per night for any vehicles exceeding the 4-car limit. This includes vehicles for day guests.

To protect your investment and ensure peace of mind during your stay at Moon Kai, we highly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance. Please note, as outlined in our policy, we have a strict no-refund policy once the booking is confirmed.

You will be required to purchase property damage protection insurance separately, which is offered at checkout. This insurance covers accidents and provides great peace of mind—just let us know it was an accident, and they will cover 100%, with no deductible. The house cleaners will report any damages, and they have no incentive other than ensuring the property is well-maintained.

Additionally, a refundable deposit of $1,000 is required for items not covered under the property damage insurance. This deposit will be refunded within 5-7 days after your departure, pending no issues.

AUDIO/TV: Sonos system for indoor/outdoor entertainment can be operated from your phone, but please remember to turn OFF your Sonos before departure. I personally would bring a bluetooth speaker.

3 TVS: (1) living room w/Apple TV/Cable, (1) outside TV w/ Roku/no cable, (1) operates strictly by phone. If you want to plug in your your gaming device, we have a AUX cable labeled for this purpose! PLEASE DO NOT UNPLUG ANY CABLES.

IMPORTANT/EXTRA CHARGES:
1. NO PETS ALLOWED without prior approval, including ESA and hypo-allergenic dogs. If approved, a non-refundable fee of $375 per pet applies, with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed. Any additional pets would require a dog park, which we do not provide.

If a pet is not declared, a fee of $700 per pet will apply. Please ensure that all dog waste is picked up and disposed of in the trash. A fee will be charged if the waste is not properly disposed of.
2. Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM
Requests for early check-in or late check-out cannot be guaranteed unless advance payment is made. The fee for early check-in or late check-out ranges from $100 - $200 per hour except holidays or special events.

If you have not made prior arrangements for a late check-out and are still on the property after 11:00 AM, the cleaners will begin cleaning, and an additional fee of $500 will be charged.

If the house is found to be messier than usual (e.g., trash left behind, glasses and plates around the house, a kitchen full of dirty dishes), an additional cleaning fee of $250 will apply.

3. POOL HEATING fee - winter (Oct-May) $100.00 per day, $300 min (max of 89/90 degrees). I need 24 hours to heat.
4. MISTERS/deck jets $120 per 8 hrs - only needed above 100 degrees but considered a LUXURY...does drop temperature 10 degrees around patio & can ONLY be run 11am - 7pm, max 8 hours. $25 each additional hour since it puts us in a higher tier. Misters use 1 gallon per nozzle, per hour x 33 nozzles = 33 gallons per hour x 8 hours = 264 gallons which is 15 showers. Water is like Gold in desert & the bill can be $2k a month just for water. Deck jets (which look cool & are fun for kids) are inc in pool mister fee. If you want just Deck Jets, an extra $25 per day but most people don't do this.

RULES/NOTICES:
1. Parties (more than 10) are NOT allowed meaning strictly prohibited (this # includes DAY guest/children). Violating this rule results in a $5,000 - $10,000 min fee. All guest (including DAY guest) & vehicles must be declared on contract. No weddings! No parties!
2. PATIO furniture - Please Do NOT move ($250 fee for moving back will apply).
3. NO smoking indoors, if outdoors, please keep off fabric cushions because they are new & fabric is discontinued. No hookah pipes EVER.
4. No red/purple popsicles, red wine, coffee or Gatorade in bedrooms, it stains permanently. Usually carpet has to be replaced and/or cleaned.
5. ORANGE UMBRELLA: DO NOT MOVE because they are heavy & expensive.
6. UMBRELLAS: DO NOT leave OPEN at night or when leaving house...wind in desert can get up to 80 mph. Each umbrella must be tied up in a knot.
7. DOORS to House - Do NOT leave doors open during high winds or if A/C in on.
8. TOWELS: please do 1-2 loads because they take longest to dry.
9. The air conditioning cannot be set below 68 degrees.
10. DROP SHADE remote is NOT available for use...NO exceptions.
11. BBQ: when done, turn heat on high 10 min to burn off food, then turn off.
12. TRASH day is Friday, so you will be asked to bring cans up from street. Please do NOT put a little bit of trash in each can & DO NOT pour ANY liquid in trash cans. It's sticky (a fee to clean will apply).
13. INTERNET: DO NOT UNPLUG.
14. IRRIGATION CLOCKS: Do not disconnect EVER!
15. PARKING - No parking allowed past gate.
16. GATE: Do NOT step on black box at gate in front to peer over into backyard. Any weight will make gate inoperable & then landscapers/pool guys can't access back yard. (Fee $400 to fix).
17. CANDLES: Not allowed outside because they melt in sun and left unattended, can burn down house, however, I do have battery operated ones for your enjoyment.

During your stay please know...I don't mind being bothered with questions.

Gardeners come Thursday morning - you may NOT send them away & they are there 2-3 hrs. October we re-seed grass, a common practice in desert & only done this time of year.

Instructions on how to enter property will be given 10 minutes prior to check in, at which time alarm will be turned off.

Pool/Spa/Misters are remotely controlled on App called IAqualink which you download to operate jacuzzi, lights, etc.

Pool is 6'-7' deep at deepest point, so NO diving allowed. It's more of a dipping pool to wade & float in w/your friends & family.

City charges 12% Occupancy tax on everything, which is added at time of booking. VRBO charges you 15% , that alone = 37% that does NOT go to us. Utilities in desert are like gold which is why there are fees for warming pool, misters, people over 8, etc + it's a lot more wear & tear.

During Coachella/Stagecoach early check-in/late check out fee is $200 per hour + 3 night min. Cleaning fee $400 over normal charge & refundable deposit increases to $2k.
