This log home screams "Galena!" It offers viewing opportunity from all around the house. Wildlife love strolling through the back wooded area and if you are in the right place at the right time you can enjoy watching them on their daily walks. With 5 large bedrooms and a loft, 2 family rooms and 2 fireplaces, recreation area and plenty of outdoor space with fire pit, your large group will have enough room for all to spread out and relax! This multigenerational home is the perfect backdrop for your next outing!

You will have access to the Galena Territory Owners' Club and all it's amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, game room, fitness center, gym, tennis and basketball courts, and more.

Galena IL has hundreds of unique gift and clothing shops, antique stores, art galleries and artist studios. It boasts a rich performing arts community, live music, gourmet delights, as well as a multitude of museums, wineries, historical sites and tours. Holiday Retreat

Very nice property for some of my extended family for the holidays. Well equipped kitchen. Ample space to spread out. Terrific views! Would rent this property again!

Amazing house and beautiful setting

Six couples stayed comfortably in this beautiful house. It was clean, quiet, and spacious for us. We enjoyed the fire pit. Our group made several meals and sat around the table together. We had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic Galena Stay

This was the perfect house for our family getaway! We didn’t even have to leave the property to have a great time! The cozy fire pit was so awesome! And we enjoyed a hike in on of the Galena Territory trails too. Thanks for the precious family memories we made this weekend.

Great getaway for family and friends

Our group had a great time and the house was large and roomy enough for our large group. The living room with view and fireplace is beautiful. Ginger was very responsive.

Wonderful Getaway!!

We had an absolute blast. The house was even better than stated. The large private playground, bar in the basement, and the fire pit were great surprises. The fire pit is perfectly placed tucked away in the nook of the rock ensuring comfortable use. We can’t say enough about the house and the host. We had a couple in each bedroom and a pair in the loft with plenty of room and no complaints. We will definitely be back.

Great cabin & amenities

After multiple attempts for a family vacation, we just stayed in Illinois & went to Galena. The property is really comfortable because the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, porch/deck & dining areas are all spacious. Bathrooms for the 10 of us proved very adequate. We loved the fire pit & the kids enjoyed the swing set. We took advantage of the “owners pool” & also visited local sites/activities (golf, boating, Mountain slide, zip line).

Family Reunion

This place was amazing! The neighborhood was beautiful and lots to do. The manager for this property is super friendly and even sent me some sugestión on fun activities and hiking places. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors this is it. Love it and will be back again.

Very cozy place

We spent a great time with family and friends at this great house. Very spacious, clean, and cozy place with access to the club with swimming pool and gym. There is no WiFi so for someone can be an inconvenience, but for us that was a plus :) Highly recommended

Exceeded our Expectations

I was part of 4 couples who rented this log home for a golf weekend at Eagle Ridge. The home was beautiful, location perfect, and the weather cooperated to give us an amazing weekend. Ginger was easy to work with and responsive when asked a question. I cannot say enough about the home and location. If you are going to this area for golf, skiing, or leaf peeping, you should feel good about renting this home.

Gorgeous home and property

Our large family really loved this log home in the woods. It's a bit off the beaten path so no traffic going by, and the woodland setting is perfect. Kids loved the playset in the side yard and the loft where they all slept, adults loved the screened in porch and the firepit in the woods nestled next to a limestone bluff. (There was no firewood in the bin so we were glad we brought our own. It's a long haul down all the steps, but worth it. You're also allowed to collect wood in the vicinity, but we stayed after a lot of rain and everything was wet. Note there is no picnic table so don't plan to cook over the fire. There is a gas grill on the side deck we used.) My husband and I stayed in the Victorian room and enjoyed it - nicely sized and the bed was comfy. It's one of two rooms on the main level, the other being the floral room with its own patio and bathroom. The other three rooms are in the basement - one of those also has its own bathroom. The whole family enjoyed the downstairs family room for movies, and adults loved the pool table and bar. It was a bit damp in the basement, although there are two humidifiers. We emptied the water in one to get it to kick back on. The bath towels and dish cloths were pretty musty, so if that bothers you you may want to bring your own, although plenty are provided. There is a washer and drier on-site so we just washed a load which took care of it. The home was very clean and well kept. Overall, we loved our stay. Beautiful home, beautiful setting, and there is so much to do in the surrounding area - we used the owners club pools and went hiking on the area nature trails, and drove to Chestnut Mountain one day to do the Alpine Slide and zip line. We hope to come back. Don't forget to sign the guest book in the great room - there are some great stories in there!

Wonderful

This beautiful log cabin home easily accomodated our party of 8. Kitchen was a popular hangout, also the two fireplaces, and the media room with pool table. We enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Perfect NYE Getaway

Wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and the city, we rented this gorgeous cabin in Galena for a long weekend over New Years. It was everything we wanted and more. Big enough for the 5 couples we had staying with multiple fireplaces, a great kitchen and gorgeous views, it felt like we were tucked away in a luxury mountain escape. The cabin is really tucked away and with subzero temperatures all weekend, it was great to ring in the new year in PJs with a fire roaring and the ball dropping on the TV. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away!!

Wonderful xmas

After years dreaming and planning for a home that would remain in our family for generations, we finally decided to build a log house in Galena and, as they say, the rest is history! When building this home we were a family of 9. We are now a family of 18 and continue to enjoy every precious moment in this wonderful retreat. We wanted a home where lifelong family memories would be born… mission accomplished! We have celebrated many specially planned occasions as well as moments of sheer spontaneous laughter in this dream home and we aren’t finished yet! There is always something new to see and discover in this lush and lovely area. Introducing Galena to extended family and many friends has been a joy in itself.

Most of this home was handcrafted by our family of construction artists and remains our pride and joy. Now we would like to open our home to other families and groups of friends to forge traditions of their own. It is surprisingly easy to create loving memories when you are able to relax and leave the stress of your real life behind!

After years of consideration and planning, we decided building a custom home in the Galena Territory would be the best choice for our family. We anticipated the instant relaxation we would feel when walking in the front door. We carefully designed this home to provide the indoor and outdoor space required by our growing clan and our desire to remain close as a family.

Situated in a quiet, heavily wooded area of the Territory, our location offered the connection to nature that we desired. It would be a challenge to find a more breathtaking view of nature and it’s wildlife than the one built into this cabin.
