Enjoy a relaxing retreat in a cozy South Joshua Tree Guest House. The Guest House is open and airy 1000 square foot studio on a private 4 acre gated property with beautiful north facing sunset views.

The bedroom area has a queen sized bed and remodeled bathroom with shower. On the other side of the studio there is one or optionally 2 twin size beds that can be set up separately or also be pushed together for a Cal King size if needed.

The living room area has a super comfy down-filled mid-century couch and ottoman in front of the fireplace. There is a stereo with AUX, Bluebooth, CD & DVD player, turntable, Alexa, and Apple AirPlay inputs connected to a large flat screen TV with Roku interface in the living area for all of your entertainment needs! An interesting selection of CDs, DVDs, records, and books are provided for use during your stay.

Enjoy our cute kitchen is fully stocked with plates, flatware, glassware and starters for your meals and both a charcoal and propane barbeque grill outside.

There is a private patio with with table and chairs and a fire pit that faces north and features beautiful views - especially great for star gazing at night! There is a secluded Jacuzzi J-LXL hot tub with lounge seat on a slab just a few steps off the patio. The location is private and sits amongst Joshua Trees and desert flora and offers panoramic views of the sunset, surrounding mountains, city lights, and amazing stars at night. There are 2 hammocks for lounging under a large shade tree next to the carport where you can park your car under cover.

An Autel Level 2 40 amp EV charger with Tesla adapter is available.

This rental had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Kitchen was set up with all the utensils needed plus condiments and great coffee. We did not get a chance to try out the hot tub, sadly. Mark communicates well and all his instructions are clear. I suggest you try to arrive the first time in daylight since the last few turns are hard to see in the dark. We would book here again.

The decor and atmosphere was really cool - vintage without feeling out-of-date. The record collection was excellent, we were constantly playing some great disco, soul, 70s rock, it was great. It was a great home base to go out into the town and also a delight to just relax and read, cook, eat, and sleep on the lazier afternoons. We'll definitely be back.

We had a great time staying at the guest house. Amazing location near to Joshua Tree shops as well as the entrance to the park. Privacy, hot tub, beautiful surroundings, and a really special designed interior full of mid century/ vintage charm. Mark was a great host and provided lots of information and referrals for local places to check out. One of the best vacation rentals I've stayed at, will definitely be looking forward to coming back!

This place was great as our home base for the week while we explored the area! It was spacious and had a lot of games/activities if you wanted a night in. I would recommend staying here and hope we get the chance to again!

Perfect getaway for relaxation - especially with your loved one. It feels like a honeymoon suite that encompasses the great outdoors as well. There's all kinds of TV opportunities available (many options!), but we didn't bother with that - the good record player and the old LPs was all we had time for during our short 3-night stay.

Really great place - we liked the slightly funky concrete floors, 70s retro air. The location is fantastic- so close to the Joshua Tree NP entrance and town of Joshua Tree. We stayed almost 2 weeks, so had to wash clothes- good /clean laundromat in town but not at VRBO. But the host was GREAT, and the place was fun and easy and perfect for us. Thx for a great stay.

Mark was super welcoming and responsive! The pictures of this house don’t do it justice; it’s so fun, groovy, and has a wonderful ambiance. Bed is super comfy. Hot tub under the stars was the highlight. They have everything you need for an amazing stay! 100% would stay here again.

The host was super communicative and the guest house was incredibly well stocked -- it had everything we needed. Despite the rainy weather, we were very comfortable and cozy and our car was protected from the rain! Note, there is some construction happening next to the property, but it really didn't bother us too much. Great location right near some good spots to eat and the national park!

We recently relocated permanently to Joshua Tree from the Silverlake area of Los Angeles. They operate several vacation rentals in Joshua Tree. Laura teaches yoga and owned a yoga studio - Glendale Yoga in Glendale, CA - which is now closed but operates virtually from Joshua Tree. We both grew up in Cincinnati, OH but have lived in California for 30 years. We love everything that California has to offer but are particularly enamored with the beautiful scenery and interesting community of Joshua Tree.
