Couples weekend

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our friends ( 4 couples) meet every year to catch up and play golf. This was our first stay in this home. We loved the location which is just a short walk to the beach. It was perfect for us. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, dining area and gathering room were perfectly suited for our group.

Wonderful stay

Great property, very clean and nicely furnished. Very well equipped kitchen and we loved the proximity to the beach. We look forward to a return visit!

Perfect!

Beautiful, clean, comfortable home. Stocked kitchen. So close to the beach - a very short, easy walk. We loved our stay!

Wonderful stay and beautiful location

This is a beautiful property, in a primo location just steps from the beach. The house was spotless! It has a well stocked kitchen, plenty of books and games. We heated the pool during our stay which was lovely. We truly appreciated everything this unit has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!

Sea Lavender Court

This was my first visit to Kiawha Island. We had a wonderful time viewing sunsets, bike riding, and enjoying the surrounding area. The home was lovely and comfortable. The home was very well stocked with all we needed for our stay. We would come back and hope to use this home again! The home is just steps from the beach!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at the home! The Kiawah Island architectural review board has strict regulations which do not allow much room for creative paint colors and architecture. The goal is for the exteriors of the properties to fit into the scenery and have more natural palettes.

Fantastic Stay!

The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook dinner. The location was great- just a quick walk and we were on the beach. The pool and the deck were fantastic too especially on days when we wanted to get out of the sun and wind and enjoy the shade. Renting bikes was a great decision - we were out on them multiple times a day and the bike trails are very close to this location. We would definitely rent this property again in the future.

Winter Break at Kiawah

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 2 week stay at 423 Sea Lavender was another wonderful trip to Kiawah, where we have been vacationing since 1981. This home was a great location and the best equipped kitchen of any place we have ever rented in all our times at Kiawah. Everything was very clean, the rental staff was professional and thoughtful. Our only suggestion for improvement would be the upholstered living room furniture, especially the 2 couches. They are both worn and in need of replacement to the point of being uncomfortable, in our opinion.

The homeowners have thoughtfully equipped the home with guests in mind to ensure it stays well stocked and very comfortable. The living room furniture cushions are not firm ones, they are more of a denim/soft plush style so they may be softer than in other properties but we want to ensure the comfort of every guest and are always open to suggestions, thank you and we hope you will be back soon!

Overall, this is a nice property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed for 19 days during the COVID lockdown in the Fall and it was exactly what we were looking for. The location of the house itself is great. Access to the beach is very easy (3 minute walk) and it is about a 20-minute bike ride to Freshfields market. We would also recommend making the 20-minute drive to have dinner and drinks at the Ryder Cup Bar at The Ocean Course. The house itself had plenty of room for us to spread out and the kitchen was well equipped. The only negative was the speed of the internet. It is very slow so if you are planning to have any Zoom or video calls be prepared for them to not work.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we were pleased with the home. The ice maker does not work properly, and we needed to buy ice all week. The grill is a bit too small for the size of the house and is located in a poor location. If someone is grilling, you can’t open the door to go out onto the deck without risking someone falling down the stairs. Mold in the showers (especially the master) needs to be cleaned. Providing the beach chairs and coolers was great. Kitchen was well stocked to allow for cooking in several evenings.

Thank you so much for the feedback! The ice maker has now been repaired, the part was on back order but is ready to go, I apologize about that. The grill is new and most of our guests have enjoyed using it, this is the first complaint I've received about the size and location, its out of the way of the pool area and easy to get to from the kitchen area, its a very efficient Weber grill. The showers do get bleached/cleaned thoroughly between each guest and we also get them steam cleaned and the grout redone regularly as well. The beach chairs, games, toys, coolers, etc are stocked by the homeowner and is a great feature and rare in most Kiawah vacation homes, definitely a nice touch to help with our guests' enjoyment! The kitchen is great, its been featured in Southern Living and also a few cookbooks as well. We are glad overall you enjoyed your stay in the home.

Reviewer Comments: First time renting this property but have been to Kiawah many times.This property is one block from the beach and is a simple walk.The kitchen is well equipped. The den is comfortable and spacious.The second floor is a climb but has 3 bedrooms and a small, comfortable sitting area.We did not use the small pool but did grill on the deck.Would rate the location and comfort of the property an A+.We had no issues and did not speak to the management.

We have loved Sea Lavender for Many Vacations, but...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hello-We love Sea Lavender and have booked I think 4 times now and have rented with ESPM now 5 times. We debated if we should call about all of this, but we are starting to see signs of neglect at Sea Lavender and hate that because we love the home. We truly love the home’s feel. Decor and location, renting with ESPM and recommend ESPM to friends. This was our first experience where things were just not fantastic. When we arrived the refrigerator was not working nor was the freezer-we did not discover this however until we bought a weeks worth of groceries. The on call maintenance person was very helpful. We were able to fix it but had to reload all of our groceries in coolers and move things to garage freezer over night to ensure it worked-we didn’t find out until the morning that it worked. We waited for a few hours the next morning for the maintenance person and they never showed. Since the fix worked we didn't want to take more time, but were surprised they never came to the house or followed up. Some other things that were not working properly are in the primary bedroom shower. The shower did not drain -we were always in standing water while bathing, the sinks are not working with water spraying from the faucets in that bathroom. Also in the kitchen the right front burner on the stove is also not working with only half of it lighting. There were other things as well but minor. We were able to manage all of it but we absolutely love this house and it made us sad to see the issues. The only other thing to note is that when we arrived it also didn’t seem as if it was cleaned thoroughly. We found a contact lens on the floor in the primary bathroom, one bedroom was very dusty not seeming to be touched, the cleaning staff left a bag of towels in the family room upstairs and the kitchen counters felt sandy. We don’t like to complain but felt all of these things were worth sharing because we want to come back and hope
