We loved our stay! The hosts we so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The accommodations are beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. We used the gas grill right outside the back door, enjoyed the fire pit and the peaceful views of the lake. The tiki bar is so cute, Arjun helped us get our football game pulled up and we had a great time listening to music and watching the ND football. We even got to go out for a boat ride one evening!! I cannot wait to go back. Great place!

Wawasee Getaway

Booked the property last minute for a quick Lake town getaway and was not disappointed. Being able to dock our boat on the property as it is located in one of the channels made it super easy and convenient to use the lake at any time of day. Very relaxing stay, and very friendly host!

Great Stay

the property was very clean and is exactly like the pictures. Any time we had a question, or wanted to know how something worked (the fans, or the outdoor stereo) we just texted him and he was quick to respond. The whole experience was wonderful and would highly recommend to others.

Memorial Weekend stay

We (family of 4) stayed for 3 nights and everything was as expected. Anjum was very responsive and accommodating. There was plenty of room to dock our 24' boat. The power washer was helpful to give the boat a thorough cleaning. The fire pit was great and we had some guests join us at the "Tiki Bar" - which had a smart TV. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub, but the other guests enjoyed it. We would definitely stay again.

Be informed before you book

We were not aware that Lake Wawasee had no access if you did not have a property on the lake. A place on the channel would have been fine had we wanted to dock a boat and then access the lake from there. However we were hoping to be on the lake and actually be able to dip our toes in it and perhaps have a morning coffee or evening drink while watching the waves. And the description “a view of the lake” was accurate except that the view was distant and actually was a view of someone else’s property and dock. So, my fault for not reading the description carefully but still a very very big disappointment. The facility was adequate but didn’t make up for the disappointment of not having a lake vacation.

I am sorry for your disappointment, but just as you said it is due to no fault of mine or the description or condition off the property . I agree with your observation that you should have researched the accessibility of Lake Wawasee before you made the decision to rent any property here. Look before you leap is a fitting phrase to see if it meets your vacation objectives.

Would not rent from this owner again

Owner tried to increase the cost from the quote by $100 hoping we wound not notice, I had to ask multiple times to have the owner refund the damage deposit after 2 and 1/2 weeks. House was not clean. Washer and Dryer were broken. Bring your own towels. Only four towels provided for six people. Parking was not easy. Our spot was in the middle and there was very little room between cars. TV only received two channels. No Central Air. One little air conditioner in the main room which could not keep up and you had to leave the doors open to the bedrooms. The house seems very abused. Holes in walls, missing paint, etc... Very glad we only stayed two nights and had good weather so we were rarely in the house.
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 3 abr. 2020
Sorry that you feel that way but there was no indication from you about any of the issues to me as I live right next door and was present all weekend, there is NOT a single hole in the walls anywhere except where the TV Cable wire has to come in the Condo from the crawl space by the floor and the statement is blatantly false , there was a tiny scuff mark in the paint caused by the previous renter and has been taken care of .Everything was as stated in the listing and the rate quote was provided and accepted online including accepting the terms of the rental agreement prior to making an online payment . Please read the listing and the rental agreement closely for your self including the Security Deposit terms which clearly state that the Deposit will be refunded two weeks after the rental date and also read the reviews of other guests immediately prior and after his rental date. Like the saying goes YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE !!!!

Wonderful time here! My wife and 4 little ones (all 5 and under) were looking for a quick weekend getaway with our boat. After seeing some of the neutral to negative reviews I was somewhat skeptical but at this price point, this place is really hard to beat. Yes the property is not directly on the lake- and those complaining of that, it's clearly described in the details. There is a view of the lake across the street. What's more important is that it sits right on the channel and the owner has ample frontage for 4 decent sized boats (2 of them are his). Our 24 foot ski boat rested nicely there. The unit is divided into 2 condos and includes 2 small bedrooms, bathroom kitchen and living space There was plenty of room for my family. To keep up with the amazing homes surrounding the property, there are some needed updates planned but we found the unit to be clean, perfect sized, and the exterior was super cute with the included tiki bar, fire pit, and grassy play area. And what the property lacks in high end finishes is more than made up for by the gracious host Anjum. I really can't say enough about Anjum and how accommodating he was to me and my young family. We arrived later than expected - he moved his personal boats out of the way to make room for mine. He helped with parking my trailer and even drove me over to the local boat launch the following day so we wouldn't get lost. You can feel his passion for his property and guest satisfaction.**Highly recommend!

Needs work but has potential

Upon first impression, the house was very nice and appeared to be recently renovated. The owner was very nice and accommodating. I tripped on the area rug in the living room area and noticed another trip hazard upon entering the kitchen (the kitchen level was raised with a distinct lip). Upon further inspection, I noticed an electrical outlet next to the water inlet for the washing machine. I believe this may be a building code violation. The flooring was new but was uneven in areas throughout the house. Many of the electrical outlets were not fully installed and were hanging outside the wall. There was no headboard for the bed in one of the two bedrooms and the frame slid freely around when getting in and out of the bed. Several of the window blinds were not functioning properly throughout the house. The entire house was just not clean, particularly considering there was a cleaning fee. There were dead ants on the floor outside the closet in the living room and piles of what appeared to be ant-hills behind the main couch along the floor framing. My friends commented that maybe these piles were from termite infestation but who knows. There was also a musty smell, later confirmed to be coming from the old mop and bucket in the closet behind the main door. Cob webs were present in several locations and in the bottom drawer underneath the sink. All in all this house has potential, if cleaned up and renovations completed. I think the trip hazards and potential code violation should be addressed immediately.

Great stay Great people

The people of lake Wawasee are friendly and our stay was enjoyed by all. Some non-locals operating boats on the lake do not understand boating laws or etiquette but that has nothing to do with the property.
