It is situated just minutes away from the Vancouver International airport, the lovely Minoru Park, several major shopping centers, the must see Stevestion harbor and some of Lower mainland's most exciting and interesting and culturally diverse dining & entertainment experiences. Richmond is centrally located, once you are done exploring the city of Richmond a short 1/2 hour car/train/bus/taxi ride away are Downtown Vancouver, White Rock, Burnaby, Surrey and many other destinations to discover.

Ideal for families, groups of friends, business travelers, or extended stay vacation visitors looking for a comfortable self-catering luxurious house in Richmond. It is fully furnished and supplied with essentials such as towels, toiletries, condiments, detergents, cleaning supplies, bedding etc.

Wonderful!

We stayed here with family members over the few days of our son's wedding nearby in Richmond! Perfect property! Three beautiful bedrooms on second floor, all with ensuite baths. Also one bedroom, plus one x 2 beds in one room, on lower/main floor with a shared bathroom/shower worked out just perfectly for us all. The common area, with family room plus kitchen area was large and comfortable. We did not use the barbecue or garden but it looks lovely for summer. Sylvia and Peter were great hosts, there before and for arrival and for any other needs. We so enjoyed our stay there.

4 nights in Richmond, BC

Overall, our stay was enjoyable. Plenty of room for 7 of us, and a nice quiet neighborhood; far better than staying in hotel rooms. The oven did not work and we were not able to find proper bowls, etc., for use in the microwave - communication with the host about this was difficult. Access to additional towels would have been nice given our 4-night stay. Host was very kind to meet us upon arrival (and several hours before the 4 p.m. check-in time!) and explain things, and also kindly helped us get to the airport when the Uber was not sufficient to get all of us there. Overall was an acceptable VRBO experience.

Amazing house

This house was wonderful. It was exactly what we were looking for for an extended stay. Had all the amenities, comfortable beds and spacious living areas. Kitchen is fabulous and we used the barbecue outside. Really an amazing house. The owner is great—communication was excellent, very responsive to any needs we had during our stay. Greeted us upon check-in and made us feel welcome. Location is excellent. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything. We used cars but also used the bus which stopped on the street very close to the house. We could get anywhere easily with public transportation. We would absolutely book this again. Thank you!

spotless and perfect location

We had a wonderful stay, plenty of rooms for all of us. Home was spotless, big rooms and comfy beds. Love the washer and dryer, big kitchen with all everything you need if you like to cook at home, nice back patio for BBQ. Plenty of towels for the kitchen. Great host and very responsive. Highly recommend to all if you're visiting.

Great location and plenty of space for everyone!

We were staying in Vancouver all arriving from airport at different times for a weekend wedding held at UBC gardens so this location was perfect for us because it was central to both. The house had plenty of space to entertain and make meals so that was very convenient. Also close to many shopping areas so we didn't have to go far to stock up on some groceries. The house was well equipped but we were disappointed that the oven was not usable and the bbq was very dirty so we had to clean it before using. That was our only issue. Other than that we enjoyed our weekend very much and it suited our purpose. Thank you, we would recommend this as a great accomodation for a group!

Pretty nice house!

Really spacious and nice house. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Peter and Sylvia's place in Richmond. Only downside was that the gate to the entrance opens/closes a bit slowly and the house is on a major street, so traffic comes at you a bit fast sometimes. Otherwise, a really nice property and would recommend!

Beautiful house, VERY convenient location

We are a group of hockey players and parents that have stayed @ a dozen or more airbnb/vrbo houses over the past years. This is one of the most well-maintained and beautiful houses we have had the pleasure of staying at. The only small disappointment was the prohibition of using the oven. We pre-plan all our meals and that was an inconveinence. It should be easy enough to bake on cookie sheets to leave the oven clean. You will enjoy your stay at this house. Liz was very responsive.

Beautiful home, perfect for our family vacation

We just returned from our family vacation in Vancouver. Peter and Sylvia's home was perfect for us! We had three families with 9 people total (my family with 2 kids, my sister's family with 1 kid, and my parents) and used 5 rooms. The layout of the home is very open and spacious, and it is very clean and comfortable and is well stocked and has nice appliances. The digital keypad entry was great so that we could come and go as needed without worrying about who has the keys. The owners were concerned about the home being used for parties because they would get in trouble if the neighbors complain about excessive noise. We had a few relatives over to visit (for dessert and just to hang out, but not for partying) as I had informed Peter and Sylvia ahead of time, and there were no issues. The Richmond location was perfect for us, since our relatives were all staying in the area (some at hotels, and some who live locally), and most of the restaurants that we went to were within 10 minutes. Our kids really enjoyed playing at the Terra Nova Adventure Playground which is a short drive away, and we loved the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We also had some of the best desserts ever at Sweet E's Pastries and Sweets in Kerrisdale. We look forward to visiting again in the near future! Thank you Sylvia and Peter!

Beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay.

Sylvia's home was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Need to upgrade the towels in the bathrooms. We were disappointed that instead of opening the 4th bedroom with ensuite on the 2nd floor we were given the downstairs small room with No bath attached even though she knew we had four couples. Enjoyed the patio. Thank you.

Great vacation home!

We rented Sylvia's property from July 2nd- July 8th, 2016 for my family reunion in Vancouver. We have family members from the United States, Hong Kong, and Canada, and we had chosen Vancouver as the mid-point attractive city as our meeting place. We have 19 members, including two 2 years old children, staying in the house. Of all our family members, we are highly socially and environmentally conscientious professionals, including 5 Medical Doctors, 6 PhDs, as well as engineering and education professionals. Sylvia was concerned that we have friends and families in the Vancouver area, and may use the house as a party house with many visitors and heavy traffics. She mentioned insurance limitation and prior negative experience to discourage us to have visitors. We assured her that we will carefully use her property and respect the neighborhood. We paid all fees in full and on time, used the property with great care, and returned the property in a timely and superbly orderly manner. She refunded my damage deposit promptly. I am pleased with my experience with this rental property and shall gladly recommend anyone who are considering renting this house for their vacation. Theresa, Columbus Ohio

We had a wonderful stay!

We were in Vancouver for a college reunion. We were so glad we decided to rent a house rather than stay in the hotel where the activities took place ! Sylvia and Peter's rental home was just beautiful the decor and fixes were high end. It was worlds better than a hotel room and ended up so much cheaper for the week. We had all the space we needed for our group of eleven adults. Parking was not a problem. Previous renters complained about not having a conventional oven for their use. Well, our group did not miss it at all. We had the stove, we used the grill outside a lot - barbecued ribs, grilled fish, pork chops. Who needs an oven? We did not plan to bake a cake. The kitchen even provided a rice cooker, which was so convenient since most of us were Asian. That being said, it did not bother us that we had to take our shoes off upon entering the house. The only thing we would ask from the owners is that the telephone should be available for use for local calls. Our cellphones from the U.S. did not have service in B.C. and having roaming service is so expensive. It would be nice if we could have called local business to order food, make reservations, arrange for local tours, etc. from the house phone. Other than that all was just fine. Wi-fi was great, and we all had devices. This house was close to restaurants, shops and a short ride to the beautiful city of Vancouver. It was also very close to the airport - just a 15 minute drive. We definitely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home especially for a big family or group. Mars, Venus and friends.

Great place in Richmond

Our extended family of five adults and four kids (ages 6 1/2 - 10) stayed at Sylvia's home for three nights this month. The home is as pictured in a nice neighborhood in Richmond a bit south of the airport. There is a Safeway less than 5' away and a Costco within 15'. It is 10-15' to Steveston Village, the Terra Nova Adventure Park for kids, commercial Number 3 Road and the Olympic indoor venue. It is at least a half hour closer to the Tsawwessen ferry (if going to Victoria) than is downtown Vancouver. We drove downtown to go to the aquarium in Stanley Park at midday on a Tuesday and it took close to an hour both ways given the traffic in a city without freeways. The house is super clean and worked very well for our group. Big kitchen/dining area with adjacent family room and nearby living room/dining room. Pleasant, quiet backyard. Three bedrooms upstairs (plus a master you contract for in addition to the basic rate) and three downstairs (with 1 1/2 baths for the three). Be sure to specify to the owners how many bedrooms you need. Sylvia thought we needed 4 but we communicated with her before arriving to be sure we would have 5 -- and we did. One bedroom downstairs has a mattress that feels as if it is a box spring that we could not use but Sylvia made the sixth bedroom available to us when we requested it. Would definitely consider re-booking if we were to return to the area with a similar group.

GREAT

Fantastic house in a very convenient location. It is within short distance to all the restaurants that we went to in all 4 days. Owner greeted us late Tuesday night when we arrived. Very helpful in going over all the features of the houses, and the neighborhood and etc. Had a good experience overall.

Beautiful Home, very well taken care-of, unique interior design and lots of room to relax and enjoy

Beautiful home, amazing interior designs and in great shape. Lots of room to relax and enjoy Vancouver. Short ride to downtown and also to Victoria ferries terminal. Great patio with an outdoor grill that is enticing. We had a family trip up to Canada and had a blast. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The only issue I would check with Sylvia is the oven. There was only a small oven available which can restrict the type of meals you cook; especially for large parties. .

Vacation with family and friends

This is a beautiful home and Sylvia was very nice to us when we arrived. There were 11 of us for 6 nights and we cooked some dinners in but had to gather other chairs around the house to accommodate us all at the dining room table. For the expensive price of $500+ per night, it should come with a oven. If you don't want to get the nice oven dirty then put in a less expensive one. You can't bake in the little oven you provided. I think the kitchen needs to be stocked with more cooking, serving items (serving platters and bowls). We had to buy a can opener (yours didn't work), only one small serving platter. Our house is listed with a home exchange site and I have everything one would need to cook with. Not enough wine glasses, could use more bath towels, no cleaning supplies to keep the house clean while there. I paid $170 extra for a 6th bedroom and one of the beds was really hard, like with 2 box springs no mattresses...really? So we had to use the couch for sleeping. We couldn't all seat outside for there wasn't enough seating. Those stackable white chairs work well for extra people. I have used VRBO many times and I don't think this house was worth the money we paid. Bathrooms could use towel racks for we had towels hanging everywhere. The location was perfect thou.
