Better and better

At first glance this apartment seemed inconvenient and awkward, but this impression was completely wrong. The apartment is outside of town on the edge of a semi industrial area, but in fact it is in a suburban area an easy 12 minute walk along quiet streets to the heart of town, and even less time to expansive supermarkets. (There are busy streets too, but they are easily avoided). The greatest treasure of the apartment, however, is the hosts book of suggestions. Every Italian is better informed than an outsider about their own region, and she has placed her suggestions for restaurants and outings for all kinds of visitors; we used them to pick places to eat and to confirm our own prior plans. Her recommendations are excellent. I personally recommend mountain hikes alpine dairy (malga) meals as well as swimming in the local rivers. Oh, and as we were told before arriving: "eat the frico" PS the appliances all worked well and the air conditioning was awesome!

De accommodatie is gezins-vriendelijkEr is een grote slaapkamer met een groot 2-persoons bed en enorme kledingkast. De andere slaapkamer heeft een 1-persoons bed met kledingkast. Indien je met 4 personen wil verblijven slaapt 1 persoon in de woonkamer op een apart bed. De woonkamer is hiervoor ruim genoeg. Er is geen tv aanwezig maar hadden wij ook niet nodig. Door het ontzettend warme weer hadden we overdag de rolluiken dicht zodat het huis zo koel mogelijk kon blijven door de airco die boven de voordeur hangt. (In de slaapkamers zelf zijn geen airco's). Hierdoor hebben we de woning wel als donker ervaren. We hebben ook gebruik gemaakt van de tuin want het is in de zomer erg fijn om buiten te kunnen zitten maar een grindbetonnen tuinbank en tafel is wel even wennen qua comfort. Hou zeker rekening in de zomer met veel muggen 's avonds.Alles was schoon en er lagen voldoende badhanddoeken. Beatrice was erg vriendelijk en geduldig met alles uitleggen tijdens de check in. Ze heeft zelf een folder met uitgebreide uitleg en tips met activiteiten om te doen en waar te gaan eten. Top!Wij vonden Cividale en de omgeving erg leuk en makkelijk te ontdekken.Wij hebben de woning met ons gezin met 2 tieners een week gebruikt als uitvalsbasis voor activiteiten in Bovec Slovenië wat goed te doen is en een mooie route is. Tel wel een uur rijden heen of terug want je moet rekening houden met veel toeristisch verkeer wat niet de toegestane snelheid van 70 of 90 durft te rijden.

We are very happy that you enjoyed Cividale and its surroundings. Our area is truly rich in places to discover and experiences to enjoy. Unfortunately, a week goes by quickly and, between your excursions to Slovenia, you didn’t have enough time to explore our mountains and the Natisone Valleys, or to discover more of Cividale itself, our ancient town with its UNESCO-listed Longobard heritage. A good reason to come back! During the exceptionally hot weather we have experienced in recent weeks, we recommend keeping the shutters closed during the hottest hours of the day, as the shade helps keep the house naturally cooler together with the air conditioning. As for the garden, cushions for the seats and tablecloths are available for guests to use whenever needed. Mosquitoes, which are common during the summer, are mainly present around sunset; they tend to decrease when, every evening at around 9 PM, the pleasant breeze from our mountains begins to blow. It was truly a pleasure meeting you and hosting your family. Thank you for choosing Al Gallo Cividale!

großzügige Wohnung

großzügige Wohnung. Cividale del friuli ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Die Wohnung liegt leider an einer verkehrsreichen Straße.

l'appartamento è stato lasciato in ordine, e perfetto. essendo zona residenziale il traffico è limitato agli orari di lavoro e permette comunque di rilassarsi in giardino per godere delle serate sarò felice di ospitare nuovamente questi simpatici ospiti

heerlijke vakantie

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in de ruime , schone woning ( we vonden de keuken wat donker). Beatrice was zeer geïnteresseerd in onze plannen. Er was bij aankomst en bij vertrek een aardige attentie( Nederlandse beschuit o.a.). Cividale en omgeving zijn cultuurhistorisch zeer interessant.

Zeer goed

Wij hebben zeer genoten van onze vakantie. De ligging is op loopafstand van het oude stadscentrum. De voorzieningen in het huis zijn prima. Veel privacy in het tuintje. Wij kregen een zeer gastvrije ontvangst, en veel tips voor activiteiten in de buurt (bezoek aan Venetië, festival Vernasso, wijn proeverij, prosciutto proeven, locatie om te zwemmen etc...) Zeker een aanrader, en wij komen graag terug!!

"Une location impeccable, très propre et Béatrix est très gentille et accueillante. "Nous avons passé un séjo...

"Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, avec nos deux enfants, dans cette petite ville calme. Les paysages du frioul sont magnifiques et dépaysants, la faune et la flore, qui constituent l'un de nos centre d'intérêt principaux, évoquent déjà l'Europe centrale. Les soirées douces passées dans les petits restaurants du centre ville constituent un véritable bonus après de bonnes journées de marche le long de la frontière slovène. Nous ne pouvons terminer ce message sans remercier encore une fois la propriétaire dont l'accueil a été très chaleureux et qui parle couramment le français; Par ailleurs, l'appartement mis à notre disposition était très vaste, les lits très confortables et nous disposions de tout l'équipement domestique indispensable."
