We are glad to know your vacation was saved and that you enjoyed your time at Casa Fuente, You booked 9 nights on less than 24-hours notice when the first place you arranged was so lacking you didn’t want to spend a second night there. We’ve seen that scenario more than once. To quantify, we walk to the beach often (roughly 15 minutes) and downtown most mornings (roughly 20 minutes). Pedregal is large, but it is also a scenic and safe neighborhood for walking. It is hilly though (add a little more time coming back) and walking its streets is not for everyone. If guests plan to make multiple trips into town each day (especially in summer), a car is definitely worth looking into. It certainly makes grocery shopping easier. The house has an attached garage for parking. Others find taxis a better option. Some don’t want the hassle of parking. And who wants to be a designated driver in Cabo? It’s really a personal choice that depends on how one plans to spend their time. Thanks again for your stay with us.

Thanks for staying at our home in Cabo. It is great to know you loved it as we do. You are right about the water pressure; in fact, we have a major overhaul of the entire water system planned for next week. We’ve had that issue for a couple months now. And we are not sure where the Kuerig went - perhaps it was mistakenly put in a locked cabinet on our last departure. We will find or replace it soon. Really appreciate the constructive feedback. Thanks, Sandy. We are pleased your group enjoyed its stay at Casa Fuente. The five star review, like all those before it, is appreciated. We work hard for those. Taxis in Cabo, like much of the world, are a topic all their own. Suffice it to say: We don’t use them anymore. The last few times my car was in the shop I used Uber, which was a fraction of the cost. I understand that is what the locals do mostly now, too. And as to the notion that Casa Fuente is “secluded,” I completely agree it feels that way. No downtown party noise at night — none — which is something our “competitors” closer to the marina cannot say. That incessant pounding can last until dawn some nights. However, objectively speaking, we are less than one mile by road (and far less as the crow flies) from the heart of Cabo San Lucas and its marina. Thankfully there is a rocky ridge line between our villa and the ruckus. We hear nothing. Lastly, I should mention that many, perhaps most, of our guests rent a car. Casa Fuente has an attached garage in the same style typically found in the suburban areas of the US and Canada. It depends on how one plans to spend their time, but it is worth considering.
