The Cottage Haven - Nestled In The Heart Of Wine Country And Horse Country

Perfect, private get-a-way for 2 or small group, truly in the heart of wine country. Our Cottage was featured on FYI's Tiny House Hunting- season 3, episode 8! This property is surrounded by the wine country trail, and just down the road from South Coast Winery. Also down the road, is the popular horse country, including the soccer and polo fields at Galway downs.

The Temecula wine country has been a growing destination vacation for horse lovers, wine tasters, weddings, hot air balloon enthusiasts as well as cyclists. And even if you don't enjoy any of these things, the open countryside is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of city living.

The Cottage Haven is a darling guest house on our 5 acre ranch with it's own private entrance. Our family stays busy in the main house but you will have your privacy away from the main house in the cottage. Modern cottage decor, full kitchen, and the sound of whispering pines are just a few of the amenities you will enjoy. In the upstairs loft, your friends or children can enjoy the treetop views from the 2 twin beds. (Please note: the stairs to the loft are attic stairs-See photo)

Enjoy a picnic on your own private lawn or practice your soccer skills on the front soccer field/lawn. Sit by the shared pool with a glass of wine and a good book and enjoy the quiet countryside and the sound of the breeze blowing through the huge pine trees that surround you.

Horse lovers can pull your trailer on the property and coral their horses in our 16x30 feet horse pen with shade. You will also meet our labradoodle family members that roam the ranch as well.

We moved our family to this wine country property over 12 years ago from Orange County and have never regretted it! We love the beautiful landscape out here and the peaceful and starry nights. And even though we are in the country, we are literally 5 minutes to Ralph's, Sprouts Market, Baron's, Starbucks, Great Harvest, Corner Bakery, Best Buy, Big 5 and Super Walmart!

Even though this cottage has a full kitchen, we would love to recommend delicious places to eat including restaurants at the local wineries...We've tried them all!

This was a great place to spend the weekend with my family. The pool was nice and cool for the hot day. The cottage gave my daughters their own space. They loved the loft area. It was clean and quaint. It gave us a place to have our own meals, so we didn’t have to eat every meal out, and it was close to all the wineries and eateries, along with the soccer fields, which is why we were there. Would not hesitate to go here again.

We had a great stay in the cottage. My family of 4 were in the area for a wedding and wanted to be closer to the venue and away from the lights and sounds of hotels and highways. This was such a great alternative. It was convenient to get to and in a nice quiet area. The cottage was very clean, comfy beds, and we loved that our kids had their own space and beds. We spoke to the homeowner briefly and they were very kind and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

This is the best place we have ever stayed! Super clean and cute, with plenty of space. Enjoyed the hot tub and had fun playing horseshoes. Beautiful, relaxed setting!

Cottage Haven Perfection

Cottage Haven was the perfect get away we were looking for to celebrate our 40th anniversary! The cottage is exactly as described, Joe and Shari were wonderful hosts. We also loved having the sweet pups on the property to make this home away from home even more special!

Perfect weekend stay

We really enjoyed this cottage and beautiful property! The details of the home were so cute and cozy! My 3 year old son just loved how inviting the outdoor solace was for exploring nature! We enjoyed swimming and the pretty views. The family who lives in the main home is so nice! We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone!

Beautiful retreat

My sister and I stayed at this property for a 6 day get away and we loved it. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and pleasant. We slept so good in the master bed! The cottage is decorated impeccably and all the amenities make you feel like home. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings which was the perfect way to end the day. We loved the Christmas decorations too.

Cottage stay in Temecula

We found the cottage to be clean and well decorated. Bed was comfortable. We were close to all the wineries. Our only complaint would be, on our last day, the cleaner was waiting outside the cottage an hour prior to check out time.

We moved from Orange County CA to the beautiful Temecula Valley in 2009. Temecula is such a great place to raise a family and we have loved our time here. There is so much to do and enjoy here: wineries, hot air balloons, casinos, wedding venues, nearby Lake Skinner and Vail Lake, horse back riding - you name it, we got it!

We chose our five acre ranch because it was situated close to shopping, restaurants and wineries, while feeling like you are out in the country. It also gives our labradoodles space to run and play! Tranquility, peace and quiet is what makes out property amazing!

It is so rare in California to find a brick, ranch style house - when we drove up to this property we knew it was for us! And then when we saw the cute cottage on the property and we fell in love with it. We love sharing our property with friends and family and are excited to share it with you.
