This light and bright two-bedroom condominium is located in the Solana Beach and Tennis Club in Solana Beach. The unit has an excellent top-floor location in an elevator building a lovely view of the Pacific Ocean from the living room and both bedrooms. The property has tasteful furnishings, vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a private patio that includes barbecue and seating area to savor the nightly sunsets. Office area with a view for those of you working from "home." There’s an additional patio with views east to relax and enjoy the fresh ocean breezes. Fully stocked kitchen for home cooked meals. Washer/dryer in unit. You’ll see why it’s so hard to leave southern California.
Enjoy a day at the nearby Del Mar Race Track or take a 30 minute drive to any of San Diego’s famous attractions including Legoland, Seaworld, San Diego Zoo or Downtown San Diego.
Solana Beach and Tennis Club is one of the larger complexes on the bluffs. This gated community has one swimming pool, two spas, and 4 tennis courts. The clubhouse has a game room including ping pong and billiards as well as racket and ball rentals for the tennis courts. There is a view area to catch those iconic Southern California sunsets unobstructed over the Pacific Ocean. Stair access to the beach is located just south of the complex. Located within walking distance to many restaurants, unique shopping and the Solana Beach Train Station.
Please Note: The Solana Beach & Tennis Club is a non-smoking complex. In accordance with Solana Beach regulations, this property has a 6 night minimum.
Two underground parking spaces are provided, however they are both between poles and somewhat narrow. This unit is not air conditioned.
Our properties are cleaned, disinfected and sanitized in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had everything and more even though we didnt use the kitchen. The only negative was that we thought it was a non smoking unit but found butts in the garbage can. And that pail looked like it wasnt cleaned in some time. We will be sure to ask for a non smoking unit if possible. Also there were some ants on the couch and in the bed on me.

A Perfect Retreat with Stunning Views, Amenities, and Beachfront

The combination of cleanliness, ocean views, proximity to dining, safety, and great amenities made our stay memorable. Wonderful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed two weeks and had a lovely time. The ocean view from the condo was from all three rooms. The beach is fantastic , quiet and great for walking. We did not use the stairs down as both my husband and I have bad knees. It was easy to walk to Fletcher park and access the beach via a ramp with no stairs. Elevator was close to condo. I was disappointed there was not an east facing deck as all of the other condos had. Also most of the cooking pans were not suitable to cook with peeling Teflon , non stick Coating . There were 2 cooking pots that were useable. There were plenty of dishes, glassware and baking pans. I liked the area .. restaurants within walking and grocery store a short drive . Check in after hours was easy and Stubbs gave great directions . We would book again.

Buyer beware of this place!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of this condo looks nothing like this. The carpet is Warren, torn and stained. The furniture is beat up and couch and cushions smell bad. The outside balcony does not really have a table that seats three. It has a tall table that only two can sit at. The paint is chipped and peeling, and the walls are stained. I was so embarrassed when people came to visit that I had rented such a dilapidated condo. You was lovely and there was a nice big TV not shown in this picture. There were layers of dust under the furniture and on top of the cupboards. I never saw such dirty fans.

Wonderful Solana beach

We are 60 something’s. I came with my brother for a family reunion. It’s a very nice condo. I have stayed in four different units at Solana beach and tennis club. Usually we stay oceanfront but as I booked late this year there were none available. So I was kind of not looking forward to staying in a back unit. But this one was very nice. There is a view of the ocean, a small view of the waves breaking and full view of the beautiful horizon and sunsets. So it did not disappoint. The unit is very comfortable, primary bed awesome. . My only complaint would be the twin beds in the second bedroom. They are very hard. My brother stayed there and said it was “fine” but I sat on one and would not have wanted to sleep on it. I suppose for kids it would be alright. All in all a great stay. My only other comment is they have keys to enter the unit. Most of the other condos have a keyless system which is more convenient. That’s a small point, no big deal.

Epic 10 days in Solana Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited for work from home for a few days and family vacation, combo trip. The location, size, comfort and amenities were perfect. Easy walk to the beach and coffee shops/shopping. We slept with the doors & windows open to enjoy the breeze and ocean waves. It's a calm and quiet spot. The condo is a really great size and layout. It was also SO well stocked. Couple things could be replaced or upgraded but overall it was clean and cozy (loved the books and games). Really comfortable beds and great workspace in master. Easy drive into San Diego to go to zoo and we took the coaster from Solana beach station to downtown. We had a great time! We also rented beach cruisers and rode up to Encinitas and stopped in Cardiff for brewery/shopping. We would definitely stay here again. Stubbs was so accommodating and friendly as well. Thank you!

good location/infrastructure but service is bad

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good:We stayed here for a week. Love the location. The building is old but the unit is kept in decent shape. Now the bad:1. supplies are very limited: not a single trash bag was provided for kitchen trash bin. one toilet paper for each bathroom. This is a two bedroom condo with two bathrooms and up to five people with minimum stay of a week.2. I left a luggage in the master bedroom and realized it an hour after checkout. Called the front desk right away and multiple times after. At first they said they did not see anything, then said they will check with the housekeeper and call me back. No one ever called. Not a trust worthy business.

Great location - could use a spruce up

The unit was generally clean but the travertine floors (especially in the kitchen) are in need of a deep steam clean. This would enhance the overall impression of the unit. Some of the small appliances (toaster and coffee maker) could be replaced. With a little spruce up this unit would be a fantastic vacation destination!

Disappointed

Property wasn't clean. Was closed up and smelled. Furniture and decor was worn, rusty and old. Furniture off master bedroom deck was so rusted was afraid to sit on it. Deck/patio furniture had mold on it and area was not clean or inviting to sit on. Location of unit in Solana Beach was fabulous, Beach was amazing and resort parking was awesome. Owners need to clean and update unit! Was disappointed in the cost for a week with condition of the Condo.

Beach Retreat

We just love staying at this property. The natural light is fantastic and the views are top notch. The beds are very comfortable and we love the master shower. You can't go wrong staying here.

Great Location and Unit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and location was great...steps to ocean as well as the tennis courts. We wish check in and check out were remote rather than at office. Some dated & rusted light fixtures found but property manager was prompt to remedy. Layout with the ocean view from all rooms and decks was fantastic. Kitchen very comfortable for cooking and making meals. One item we'd suggest is an electric hot water kettle for tea drinkers...although we did find an old hot-shot hot-water maker, that sufficed. Thanks for offering this great property...we will probably book again in future.

Lovely location and spacious

The location is excellent and the apartment is spacious. Furniture could be updated but beds were very comfortable. TV in living room was small and in a cabinent--if you were not directly in front of it you could not see it. Bring a Roku stick--it is not a smart TV.

DO NOT stay here! dirty, dirty, dirty!

Reviewer Comments: I hope people read this review and it stays here. some reviews have been taken down and speaking to the manager she doesn’t know why.this condo is absolutely outdated and dirty. The skylights have spider webs and black widows! The second bedroom picture is NOT realistic- the curtains don’t even fit properly, there are no shades and there is no room to pull the beds apart- you can’t even shut the door all the way! The day we arrived, I personally had to clean everything myself because it was so dusty. When you open and close the curtains- dust flies everywhere- I guarantee they were never cleaned since they were put up. All the pots have scratches on it, didn’t even bother with the coffee maker- that was scratched too. Lastly, quickly take showers, the water heater last for a good 15 minutes. otherwise, cold cold showers.
