Multi-Family Getaway at Raystown Lake in Central PA

Spacious 4 bedroom house on a 1.5 acre wooded lot conveniently located within 2 miles to Tatman Run boat launch / recreation area, Trough Creek State park and Raystown Resort. Perfect for multifamily gathering with 3 levels, each with bedroom and full bath for privacy. Main level has open kitchen / dining / living room area that opens to partially covered deck that makes nice gathering area. Lower level rec room with ping pong table opens up to covered patio. 2 big screen TV's with HD Direct TV and many VCR and DVD movies. Gas fireplace in rec room and wood burning stove in living room for gathering on chilly nights. Kitchen is fully stocked. Large sized weber gas grill and outdoor Blackstone griddle with propane provided. Enjoy a night making 'smores or a cold drink by the fire pit.

Private wooded development to get away from it all, but many conveniences nearby. Local seasonal camp stores within 2 miles. Grocery store 7 miles away in town of Saxton. Only 20 miles from Historic town of Huntingdon for all your shopping needs. Tatman Run recreation area is 2 miles away with boat launch, beach, playground and picnic area. Trough Creek State Park 2 miles with many hiking and biking trails, suspension bridge, waterfalls and more. Less than 1 hour to State College, Blue Knob Ski Area, Altoona or Bedford. Raystown Lake is the centerpiece attraction of the area but there are so many hiking areas, mountain biking trails, museums, amusement parks, historic sites, etc that you will run out of time before you can run out things to do.

Guests need to bring their own linens and towels. We recommend 4wd vehicles in winter due to rural mountain roads ands sloped private drive.

The property is beautiful, well maintained and in a great location for fishing, swimming, hiking. It’s spacious and quiet. We appreciate the extra refrigerator and empty panty space. We love exploring nearby Trough Creek State Park. This was our fourth visit to this home and we will be back!

Beautiful home and quiet location. We had plenty of space and everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit and hammocks and the game room. We would come back!

Great accommodations for our family's yearly lake visit.

Lovely place to stay. Property was everything it's advertised to be. Clean, well equipped, beautiful layout and a peaceful setting. We were very pleased and hope to return.

Great place to stay

The lake house was very nice, great location! We stayed around Christmas, the host had nicely decorated the place and it felt like home. The place was clean and instructions were clear. Definitely a place I would like to come back with my family.

Wonderful home

Was quite stunned to the house being so nice very clean great management was big enif to accommodate 5 kids 4 adults and still had room just over all a great place and plenty to do there even if it's raining

Perfect Lake getaway

This property was perfect for our two families. The house was beautiful and the property was so well maintained. We enjoyed two nights relaxing by the firepit. We highly recommend this property for a relaxing weekend by the lake!

Another Great Stay!

We having been coming to Raystown for the last 9 years, where we have spent 6 of those at this house. It truly is a home away from home. The owners have great communication with their guest and we always enjoy our stay. Looking forward to next year already.

Friends Getaway

Wonderful place for a quick getaway with friends from highschool and the children. Housed 6 adults and 6 kids 3 and under great. We had a blast. The location couldn’t have been better!

Easter weekend

the cabin was very nice as shown in the pics, a lot to do near the residence or just enjoy the decks etc. would recommend it to others, owners were very accommodating five stars.

We built this house with the design in mind for gathering with family and friends. We have been blessed with a lot of enjoyment sharing our house with great guests who are looking for the same type of getaway.

Our guests have come to celebrate children's birthdays, 30th birthdays, 60th birthdays and 80th birthdays. We have had groups stay for weddings at nearby Raystown Resort along with anniversaries, bachelor / bachelorette weekends. We've had a couple get engaged during a stay and another couple spend their honeymoon week. The wives of servicemen of Afghanistan war from Ohio and NJ setup a weekend to meet each others families. Holiday gatherings for both local families needing a bigger house or families traveling. Or just families looking to for a weekend getaway. We especially enjoy our repeat guests and referrals

Central PA location makes it very convenient for a central gathering location from Eastern - Western PA, NY, VA, NJ, MD and DC. Wooded development with plenty of quiet privacy, but close to all the local attractions. No traffic jams or long lines. Economical shopping and family fun activities. We believe you will agree with the comments posted and work hard to assure you will.
