A wonderful 2 weeks stay at a very traditional house but with all the modern appliances needed to make the stay very comfortable. Super location close to the beach, restaurants & beach. Our host was very welcoming & only a quick call away if needed to answer any questions. The pool was excellent. Highly recommend

We had a great week at Philippe’s place. The house was perfect for our family and the children loved playing in the large outdoor space and swimming in the pool, which Philippe kindly heated for us. We had many cozy nights by the fireplace and it was easy to drive to Deauville and Pont l’Évêque. Philippe was extremely kind and we appreciated his hospitality. We hope to visit again soon!

Lovely home in a lovely place

We had a generally good stay with Phillipe. The pool was great and it was a good location for orchards, beach towns, and sites in Normandy. Phillipe was helpful and warm. There was an issue with communication when he never got our email about Wifi being down/needing fans (VRBO's messaging was down, though, so I don't want to point fingers as he could have been looking for a message there!)

Fantastic pool and outside area

Fantastic stay in this beautiful house. Not ideal for a wheelchair but we managed. Would have liked a washing line as a small thing. Some of our party thought the kitchen was very dated but I found it functional. In all we loved it and we will be back im sure 😃

Family Holiday

Our Villa was just perfect for our family holiday. We loved it’s authentic style, it was indeed just beautiful. The children and grandchildren loved the pool and I loved my early morning swim every day. The spacious grounds were ideal for our dog to run and play. We loved the annex, ideal to have the use of the toilet close by the pool. The owner of the property was a first class host in welcoming us, giving local information and taking us for a first class trip on his yacht. It was a memorable holiday and we would definitely like to return to this charming Norman property in the future.

Beautiful family stay in Normandy

We had a fabulous week in this beautiful home. The absolute highlight for us was the heated pool, which really was heated to 27 degrees meaning that we could swim every day even at the end of September. Our family had a wonderful time and made precious memories to treasure exploring the elegant and chic local villages and towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our day on the beach, which was absolutely stunning and so peaceful during the off peak season. We cannot thank Philippe enough for his wonderful attentiveness to our every request. For the noise sensitive, do be aware that the king-size room is on a busy main road. We used a small room at the back of the house instead to ensure we slept well throughout our stay. .

Charming Normandy home

We stayed at this home in Normandy for 3 nights after after a visit to Paris. It was my husband and I and our 3 teenagers. We found the home to be filled with charm and gave us the feeling of Normandy we were looking for. We wanted to experience the history of the area. Phillippe was a wonderful host and was easy to communicate with before and during out stay. He provided many suggestions for places to eat and visit which we appreciated. The pool in the backyard was a pleasant respite at the end of our travel days to Omaha beach. We cooked dinner in the kitchen 2 nights and ate outside on the patio which was peaceful and private. (We loved our day trip north to the town of Etretat to see the white cliffs and lovely beach.)

Perfect for dogs and grandchildren.

It was maybe the enticement of our own pool as well as the lovely characterful house that brought both daughters and a couple of grandchildren to a multi-generational and multi-species holiday. Despite 5+ hours of driving and the faff and expense of post-brexit dog certificates we all had a great time. One daughter and fiancé enjoyed a bit of privacy in the separate gîte within the substantial garden. Very close to Deauville and beautiful Honfleur. Good dog friendly beach a bit further along the coast at Houlgate. Philipe was very helpful and was easy to get hold of if needed. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take advantage of the racecourse tickets he offered us. Wonderful.

Perfect location for our adventures in Normandy

The house and the location were perfect for our vacation! Philippe was extremely pleasant and accommodating, making great suggestions for dining out (and grocery shopping when we had arrived on a Sunday afternoon). We traveled with my mother-in-law who has some mobility concerns, making the addition of the guest house (an efficiency with galley kitchen and bedroom and sitting area all on one floor) a perfect solution. The house and the grounds were quaint, well maintained and just the right amount of rustic. We love to cook, and while the kitchen is not a gourmet kitchen by any means, it had everything we needed, and we turned out spectacular meals when we dined in. The location was perfect - we explored the entire region from Utah Beach to Etretat to Rouen, making stops at small local villages that were recommended to us in between. At the end of the day, we looked forward to coming back to the house, jumping in the pool and relaxing on the patio. It was a fantastic week in Deauville!

Perfect place, perfect hosts and fabulous location. The property is peaceful and full of charm and nestled close by (10mins in the car) to Deauville/Trouville (separated by a bridge that you can walk over) and Bienville sur Mer. There’s lots to do. Stunning beaches, exquisite architecture everywhere, beach bars (Les Amonites is fab) Honfleur had the best crepes, labyrinth challenge, plus, WWII museums (Pegasus memorial and bridge) and memorial points along sword beach if that interests you.We took our dog (there is a vets down the road for any UK travellers needing a Health Cert stamp and tapeworm tablet) and had a wonderful time with our two young adult children. We would like to thank Philippe for superb hosting as well as Emma for a smooth and friendly check out.We would 100% recommend this holiday home.
