Autumn break

Very comfortable cottage. Warm and.plenty of hot water. Hosts were excellent . Didnt want to leave

Overall excellent

We loved this little converted stables. The conversion is to a high standard, everything works! Especially effective plumbing and heating which was essential during a cold December/Jan stay. Good location in terms of doing local walks or visiting local places of interest within easy striking distance. The coast only a short drive away. Quiet and comfortable. The limited outdoor space might be a slight disappointment for some in warmer months. Matt, our host, was very warm, welcoming and flexible with our delayed arrival.

This was a lovely clean and well-equipped property in a nice peaceful area with a garage within walking distance which stocked anything you could possibly need. It was in a good position for exploring the Cheviots and the Northumberland coastline and the hosts were very helpful.

Lovely place

Clean, spacious, located centrally and with perfect hosts. This was a lovely place to spend the week, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Cosy for two

Really comfy cottage, lovely bed and a fab shower. Matt welcomed us and was helpful and friendly. Sitting four people in the kitchen would have been a bit of a squeeze but it was just us, so perfect.

Cosy cottage stay in beautiful Northumbria

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage which used to be stables and is in a village which we found to be really peaceful and within easy reach of the coast and local attractions such as Alnwick Castle and the wonderful Alnwick Garden close by.The house is very comfortable and so nice to have an open fire for chilly evenings, very well equipped and central heating too.Garage ten minute walk from house good selection of food,drinks etc everything for your needs so no need to go looking for supermarkets.Situated within easy reach of the coast and the countryside is stunning eg a walker’s paradise and so happy we found this lovely place in Powburn.Owners were very helpful and were on hand if we had any concerns which was reassuring. Thank you Matt and Lindsey this long awaited break since lockdown has been much appreciated.

Cottage in Powburn

Lovely 2 bed cottage in Powburn on edge of Northumberland National Park. Superb location for coast and inland. Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Couldn't have been better. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely autumn weekend away

Enjoyed returning to this lovely cottage. Appreciated lighting the open fire in the evenings. Very helpful owner - responded to a minor issue at the cottage in just 30 minutes! Would highly recommend for a break in the lovely Northumberland countryside 😊

2 bedroom cottage

Great cottage with every thing you need for a relaxing break. Off road parking in a quiet village but close enough to Alnwick ,Seahouses and Bamburgh . Very friendly welcome , our 4 year old Grandson loved the biscuits ! Thanks ,we hope to return with our youngest Grandson.

Last minute mini break to northumberland

A cosy, little gem, a home away from home perfect for me, my husband and our 2 young girls (8months & 3yrs). Ample space in the twin bedroom to set up our travel cot for baby. A high chair was provided. Very well equipped kitchen for our self catering needs. Lovely modern bathroom. Comfortable lounge. We used the wee park that is a few mins walk from the cottage...great to have close by for younger kids. There is a convenience shop a bit further along the main rd next to caravan site which sells basic essentials, some meats and they get fresh bread in daily. The cottage was a great base to explore northumberland from. We had such a good stay we will be booking it again.

Sweet, homely place with all the trimmings

Really enjoyed 4 nights here between Christmas and New Year. Well equipped, new kitchen plus lovely new bathroom. Open fire was the highlight for us making this place uber-cosy

Fabulous cosy cottage

A really lovely cottage to stay in. Contemporary interior but still retains a cosy feel with everything you might need and super comfortable bed. Within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Matt met us on arrival and then left us to enjoy our stay.

Perfect Retreat

The cottage was an ideal base for our stay as we visited nearby attractions. It was well equipped, cosy and well away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hubs. The owner Matt was very helpful and accomadating. Would highly recommend and revisit.
