The gite is very good for a holiday, but it is a not a home. Excellent location and outside space for bbq and garden for children to play in.

Bonjour Monsieur Hodges, D'après votre commentaire on pourrait croire que notre location n'est pas une maison! Pourriez-vous nous spécifier ce que vous entendez par "maison"? Les photos et le descriptif donnés sur le site VRBO correspondent en tout point à la réalité. Cette maison existe depuis depuis 1920. Nous avons fait de nombreux aménagements pour que nos hôtes se sentent comme chez eux. Evidemment il ne s'agit pas d'une maison contemporaine (avec salle de bain dans chaque chambre par exemple) ni d'un château. Nous souhaitons conserver le caractère picard de notre demeure. La personne qui s'occupe de l'accueil m'a fait savoir qu'il lui avait fallu une heure pour ranger tout ce que vous aviez laissé en désordre (lave vaisselle non vidé, égouttoir avec de la vaisselle dedans, sèche linge dehors, clefs de tous les placards déposées sur un meuble au rez de chaussée, linge de lits et serviettes mises en boule sur les lits au lieu de les plier etc...). great location

House is great for families, although stairs are steep. baby gate provided.right in the middle of a lovely town. Lots to do and see. small beach, although water not suitable for swimming. other beaches nearby.

Charming house and nice location

We had a beautiful week in this big, charming house. The kids loved it as well. The village is also really nice. The kitchen was not really clean when we got there,and there was a strange smell, but nothing we couldn’t solve with some soap and a candle. We enjoyed our stay !

We stayed here for a weekend friends catch up . So much fun . Property worked really well . We love the area and the location of this property is perfect . I only marked down on Family friendly category as I imagine the stairs could be challenging for some age groups . Lots of comfortable rooms and good dining area . The outside area was lovely , would love to visit again in warm weather , was an ideal area for bbq . We were met with a friendly welcome and checked out with a lovely goodbye . Many thanks for our stay

Gorgeous 19th century mansion on the edge of the town centre

I stayed here for a week with my partner and toddler, and my parents. The house is arranged over three floors with two double bedrooms, two bedrooms with two single beds and a room with bunk beds. The house is well equipped for a young child: changing table, cot, high chair and potty. The house is in a perfect location with a large garden backing right onto the river promenade. We had a lovely stay.

Beautiful house and location

We had a fantastic time at this house! Plenty of space for all of us. There were badminton racquets that the kids made lots of use of in the garden and everything we needed throughout the house. The kitchen was very well equipped! The location is fantastic, a short walk to bakeries, butchers and lovely shops and a market set up on the walkway at the end of the garden a few times during the week. Would definitely recommend.

Great house accommodating all our holiday needs!

We had a great multi-generational family holiday here. The house is so well equipped, with an amazing warren of rooms and good spots (inside and out) to relax. There’s always a possibility of a spot in the sun, as well as cool spots too. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the world go by. Everything is so accessible in St Valery-sur-Somme, lovely to have Sunday market almost outside the front door, and even the large supermarket is possible to walk to (25 mins); we hardly used the cars! The two-day train pass is really good value. We had a good welcome and introduction to the house by Madame Hibon, and it was easy to find. On a practical note, we liked that everything can be recycled, but it did take us time and to find a glass recycling point! (It’s in the Parking at Place du Jeu de Battoir). We’d highly recommend staying! The only thing that would stop us booking again would be if one of us could no longer climb the stairs (they are quite steep).

We hebben hard genoten van ons verblijf. We waren reeds goed bekend met Saint Valery sur Somme en de ligging van de villa en ons verblijf beantwoorde volledig aan de verwachtingen.Het huis is heel goed ingericht en je hebt alles wat je nodig hebt. De ligging is perfect met een heel leuk terras en prachtig zicht op de baai. De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk en alle communcatie vooraf was in orde. Bijkomend voordeel in het seizoen is de parkeerplaats aan het huis. We gaan met plezier nog eens terug !!

Maison idéalement située et particulièrement adaptée à un groupe ou une famille nombreuses (nombre de couchages, de salles de bain, de wc, de pièces à vivre).Elle est parfaitement équipée ! Accueil facile et communication efficace. Une perle dans un bel écrin : à ne pas manquer !

Très bon logement, totalement conforme aux photos. Il était très propre, bien équipé et très pratique. Son emplacement est idéal pour les coureurs de l'Ultra Baie, avec le départ situé à seulement 300 à 500 mètres. La localisation est excellente et permet de tout faire à pied. Franchement, nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Nous étions quatre couples à loger pendant 4 jours. Cette maison de vacances coche toutes les cases: emplacement, espace, nombre de chambres, nombre de salles d’eau, jardin, parking, espaces de vie, équipement de la cuisine...La convivialité de cette maison a permis de compenser utilement une météo parfois défavorable pour les sorties en nous offrant un refuge chaleureux. Les contacts avec le propriétaire et la personne en charge de l'accueil ont été cordiaux et sympathiques.Inutile de préciser à quel point je recommande cette adresse.Une véritable pépite.
