Twenty paces out the sliding door is a sandy beach in the quiet cove between the 135-acre Lincoln Park and the Fauntleroy Vashon Ferry dock. Anchor your boat in front of the house and stay awhile. The beach is great for kids and the sunsets over the Olympic mountain range finish the day.
It’s a beach retreat for a relaxing time right at the water’s edge. The patio, grass and sandy beach are perfect for eating outside, having a bonfire on the beach or for just sitting with your feet on the bulkhead watching the ferry come and go. Walk the beach and gather shells, and at low tide explore under the ferry dock to see starfish and sea urchins up close. Fabulous sunsets. Great for kids.
The living/dining area overlooks the water with large windows and a sliding glass door. There is a dining room table which seats six, and a comfortable reading chair in a corner window nook. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking, baking, and serving items.
There is a public transit bus, one block away, which takes you through the West Seattle Junction shopping area in 10 minutes and to downtown Seattle in 30 minutes. The Fauntleroy Ferry goes to Vashon Island where a passenger ferry that can be taken to downtown Seattle.
Alki Beach, 4 miles by car, is where Seattle comes on the weekends. Lots of beach activity and great restaurants.
