This water front beach house is spectacular in sunshine or rain, summer or winter. Twenty paces out the sliding door is a sandy beach in the quiet cove between the 135-acre Lincoln Park and the Fauntleroy Vashon Ferry dock. Anchor your boat in front of the house and stay awhile. The beach is great for kids and the sunsets over the Olympic mountain range finish the day.

It’s a beach retreat for a relaxing time right at the water’s edge. The patio, grass and sandy beach are perfect for eating outside, having a bonfire on the beach or for just sitting with your feet on the bulkhead watching the ferry come and go. Walk the beach and gather shells, and at low tide explore under the ferry dock to see starfish and sea urchins up close. Fabulous sunsets. Great for kids.

The living/dining area overlooks the water with large windows and a sliding glass door. There is a dining room table which seats six, and a comfortable reading chair in a corner window nook. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking, baking, and serving items.

There is a public transit bus, one block away, which takes you through the West Seattle Junction shopping area in 10 minutes and to downtown Seattle in 30 minutes. The Fauntleroy Ferry goes to Vashon Island where a passenger ferry that can be taken to downtown Seattle.

Alki Beach, 4 miles by car, is where Seattle comes on the weekends. Lots of beach activity and great restaurants.

Great Beach Getaway for Families

Lovely, cozy home. Welcoming atmosphere, phenomenal access to everything in West Seattle. Well provisioned for families with kids, may not be suitable for light sleepers. Meredith is super communicative, any issues resolved quickly.

Adult weekend getaway

This house was lovely for a relaxing weekend getaway on the beach. We loved walking on the beach and finding sea glass, watching the boats go by, and walking the neighborhood. There’s a great park and restaurants nearby. The house had everything you need for a great time!

Awesome beach cabin!

The pictures don’t do this place justice! The booking process was easy and the host even let me book the night before. It’s the perfect location to sit and watch the ferry boats. My two year old loved the beach and the indoor fireplace was amazing and cozy. Perfect location!

Can I live here forever?

I cannot say how much we loved the beach cottage. It was just as described. The roominess was great we never felt cramped and we had tons of room for the 3 of us. The chair by the window became my spot. I sat it in every time we were at the cottage. You seriously only need to bring your clothes and that's it - everything you can need is there. We also fell in love with the West Seattle area - calm, lots of food options, shopping, stores etc. Very cute area. But some FYI - this is not a place for someone who has disabilities because the parking is on a pretty steep slant and there are 15'ish stairs to get down to the apt. So if you have difficulty navigating steps this isn't the place for you. The beds are very firm so heads up there. And getting out to the beach can be tricky because of the logs but oh you so have to go out and explore the beach. If I am lucky enough to head back to Seattle I will definitely be staying at the cottage again.

Sea Side Heaven

What an amazing view, This home was everything I had hoped for. I loved the location easy to get to everything and we were right in the middle of everything we did. The sound of the waves hitting the beach as I slept and the view looking out over the water with Mount Olympus in the back ground was breathtaking. I had my coffe in front of the big window watching the sun rise every morning , what a great start to the day. The home has pretty much all you need, if there were any suggestions I would say maybe TV’s in the bedrooms, more channels options on the TV, a topper on the bed in the master that bed was a little to hard for my back and have someone look at the back sliding door it was very hard to open and it didn’t close all the way so there was quite a breeze coming thru. Parking was not a issue for us but for people who have problems with stairs or hills this might be a issue for you. Thank you for sharing your home and if I ever return to the area I hope to find your home available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! 'Ü'

We came over from north Idaho to a doctor appointment. And we wanted to take enough time to see some of the sites. And we definitely found the right place... we had a wonderful time, and we recommend this Apartment/ Home to any small family's looking for a nice quiet place within range of the Seattle sites, yet private. But when they said there's only parking for 1 vehicle... they meant it. The parking space is on the hill side so you'll want to park after unloading your baggage. But if you don't mind a bit of a hill. It's great parking. We enjoyed our stay very much. The photos don't do it justice... come try it out. It's worth it. 'Ü' ~The Steed & Johnson Family's~

everything was perfect..the house just rite size... amazing location and scenery...3rd trip to seattle..each time brought some of my children and we all fell in love with the area..beautiful scenery... friendly people ...and love so many dogs ...definetally be going back each sept for a visit..

Will absolutely go again!

Such a wonderful location with great activities within walking distance. Don't miss the park next door, it is HUGE! Very comfortable accommodations and just about everything you need. It's so nice I'm afraid to tell others because it'll create competition for me next time! Hope you enjoy as much as we did the two times we've been there so far.

Wonderful and fun property

This was an excellent property situated right on the water with beautiful sunsets in the evenings. The house was clean and had everything we needed plus little extras, butter in the fridge, games, info on what to do in Seattle and more. The only challenge was the giant hill up out of the property which could be hard for anyone with mobility issues.

Perfect location, thin walls

Very good location. Awesome place on the water to come back and relax at after a day running around the city. The only downside was the tenant upstairs. When he’s home we could literally hear every footstep including opening and closing drawers and cabinets., the tv and conversations. That was a big detractor for us. I think it’s just a matter of thin walls and an uninsulated ceiling.

Great for families!!

This place was everything I was looking for at a great price! My husband and I traveled with our three kids (7, 5 & 2). I knew they would only be able to handle so much sight seeing, so this house on it’s own beach was perfect! We used the beach every chance we got! The house was stocked with games and puzzles. The owner even left us fresh eggs from their chickens! I honestly loved the house and our stay! A few downsides we did notice, the master bed was very uncomfortable, there was an ant problem in the kitchen and the majority of the tv channels didn’t seem to work. But, I would still stay there again! The property manager was great to work with and responded very quickly to my emails! This family of 5 recommends this house!!

Peaceful oasis minutes away from all the activity that W Seattle offers.

This was a perfect spot for us. We could enjoy morning coffee on the beach reading a book, while watching the ferry shuttle folks back and forth from Vashon Island. Then it was an easy drive to take in the sites. Alki beach, T-Mobile Park, Mt Rainier, Pikes Place Market, Space Needle ... much more to do that time to do it. Then finish off the day with a fire and marshmallow roast back at the beach! Well worth it!

8 days in Heaven.

It was wonderful. Had EVERYTHING we needed/wanted. The space to give the kids, the beach, boats, the sunsets it was all GREAT. We spent 8 nights had a couple nights with some LOUD NEIGHBORS ALL NIGHT. But the rest was quiet. The only other thing was access to the beach would be so much easier for elderly and little ones with a cleared path. Other than that it was so perfect. Close bus stops for Seattle was also perfect. The washer and dryer such a bonus taking CLEAN clothes home from vacation😎. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Beachfront Vacation

The duplex sits right on the beach with a nice grass area, tables and chairs. There is a mesmerizing view of the ferry terminal from the living room windows. Furniture is older and the beds are very comfortable. Cable tv is limited to local channels but Wifi is strong and worked throughout our visit. This area of Seattle is known for ants and we had them throughout our visit in the kitchen and bath areas. The owner tried to help by laying out some gel but they never really stopped taking over the counters. We sprayed too without success.

There is something mezmerizing about watching the waves. Rain or shine this beach draws you in. There is constant entertainment with the ferry coming and going. You can just sit on the beach or you can walk and pick shells. The water is cold but kids don't seem to mind, they love to splash around and dig in the sand. The cove has boats on anchors bobbing up and down. Relaxing is the word for this rental.
