It was a very nice house with great views of the lake. My coworker went fishing off the dock every night and caught a decent amount of fish. (Bass) I used the hot tub almost nightly. It was clean and wasn't over treated with chemicals like so many others are. I would highly recommend this house.

Great property right on the lake. We loved the grassy area to hang out with plenty of shade from the trees during the heat. Great views and a cute house

Lei left the place in great condition. I'm happy they were able to catch lots of Crappie and Bass right from the dock. It is nice to sit in the hot tub with a nice drink and enjoy the sunset, sunrise or stars. Communication was great. I'd love to have them back for many more visits.

Fabulous Vacation Home

Thank you for your kind words. The cleaners and Gardener do their best to make you feel at home, but nature plays a huge role. The sunsets wildlife and views are the key. While barbecuing or sitting in the hot tub or just relaxing under the shade trees on the Lakeside lawn, The natural beauties come to you. NICE vacation

Great house right on waterfront. House has everything you need. Nice lawn outside. Hot tub, grill, TVs, Wi-Fi. Fishing straight from the dock is very convinient, we got some fish! Beautiful view! We enjoyed our stay!

We booked this home last minute for Labor Day weekend, and it turned out to be the perfect getaway for our fishing family. The location felt like our own private retreat — no neighbors on either side, a spacious backyard leading right to Clear Lake, and a dock that made it feel like we were on our own little island.The house itself was cozy, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. We spent the weekend fishing, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. It wasn’t just a rental; it felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would absolutely come back again!

Fantastic Home for a Weekend Getaway

Had some friends reach out about wanting to do a last minute getaway for the weekend! Booked the property a few days in advance and Dale (the owner) was very quick with communication and details. The home is a nice size with many stunning views of the lake. The private dock was fantastic for simply chatting with friends on the water. Check in/check out were very quick and easy. Highly recommend staying at this lovely property!

Nathan, So happy you enjoyed this beautiful spot on Clear Lake with incredible views of the lake and Mt Konocti. It is a wonderful serene feeling when you are sitting at the end of the dock with nothing but water and Mt. Konocti and sunrises and sunsets in front of you. Wish I could be there myself. Hope you come back soon to enjoy a different time of year. Spring has incredible bass fishing and of course the nice warm water in the summer is great for skiing, wave runners, stand up paddle boards, kayaking or just taking a tour around the lake with the whole family on a pontoon boat to observe the unbelievable wildlife all over the lake. Great Communication

We were a little worried about the water due to stories we have told over the years. We were surprised to see the lake so clear, we were able to make our 3-4 36” catfish 10’ down right next to the dock every day. Although we were there for boating, the kids enjoyed stopping by to say hi to the fish every morning. Dale was a extremely caring host, we hope to be able to rent again next summer.

Gorgeous lake view

What a lovely location! Right on the lake so much room, beautiful art work though out the home. Large kitchen area, fishing off your very own dock. In fact there were boats coming though to fish by us! The location is ideal to the Clearlake area 20-45 minutes away from everything! Enjoyed The Saw Place in Kelseyville for a wonderful meal and topped it off at the local Fosters Freeze! We rented a pontoon boat from Disney and had a nice lunch on the water another day! We had a great time and we'd love to come back! The host was easy to access! Thanks Dale!

Everything worked

Very nice an comfortable home. Everything was clean an in order couldn’t ask for anything better. It was really nice to rent a house with everything working. We really enjoyed just sitting in the back over looking the lake loved seeing all the wildlife an stargazing was awesome we actually seen the starlink satellite train very cool. For boating the boat lift was amazing to keep the boat outta the afternoon wind Overall this house was perfect for our family of 5. It’s very easy to communicate with the owner really nice guy thanks Dale

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lakefront home in Nice, CA for our family’s 4th of July getaway. The views were absolutely stunning, and we loved the direct water access—it made the weekend feel like a true escape. One of the highlights was the private pier great for fishing and boat dock, which made lake time so easy and enjoyable.The home also featured a fantastic hot tub, a nice BBQ grill. Great outdoor sitting areas with prefer views. Which was such a fun and nice touch for group meals! We had 12 adults and still felt completely comfortable thanks to the spacious layout. It gave us plenty of room to spread out, yet still feel connected and cozy.The host was incredibly kind and responsive. We chatted a few times, and every response was quick and helpful. I also really appreciated how dog-friendly the home was—we brought three small dogs and had no issues at all!Overall, this stay exceeded expectations. From the location and amenities to the hospitality, it was the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and make memories. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special lakefront retreat

House in Nice, CA on Clearlake

I really do not like to leave negative reviews but this place needs some serious deep cleaning, maintenance, and upgrades. There were cobwebs in corners, we found dirty dishes in the cabinets (had to basically wash every dish and utensil before using it), the carpet should have been replaced a decade ago, the front yard is a jungle, and a raccoon walks by the hot tub at night on his way to the lake. Speaking of the hot tub; the Owner said they used an "ozonator" to keep the water clean (I had to look this one up since I had never seen one before) and - while they can be used for hot tubs - they need regular maintenance to make sure the water stays clean. Since there was no way to tell when the unit had been last maintained (and based on the overall appearance of the home) we decide not to use the hot tub during our stay. Lastly, and IMO, the Owner should not be displaying their personal photos in a rental property-very tacky. In summary, we had planned on staying 9 days but only made it 5 and would have left sooner if we had another place to stay. If you are looking for a place on Clearlake, skip this place and look in Lucerne (or anywhere else).

This review took me by surprise. I talked to John 2 or 3 times during his stay, about the wildlife on the lake, fishing and about having my property manager come by to put the garbage cans out on the street for pick up. Not one complaint about anything. I know the hot tub was sparkling clean. Ozonators are common. The front yard provides privacy. The photos is the house are various wildlife on the lake that most guests find very interesting. My cleaners do a good job. I'm always sad when my guests leave for whatever reason. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving..

Quiet and serene, beautiful property and gorgeous Lake view.

Very relaxing and private. We enjoyed the beautiful furnishings, well stocked and maintained home. The plus was a hot tub with a view and a dock to walk on. Dale was very straight forward, very kind and considerate. Very generous to share his beautiful home. Very nice for weekend or weekday retreats. The locals were very friendly, the fishing and restaurants were excellent. Definitely would go back. Great value.

Relaxing get away to experience nature.

A stay at Dale's lakefront home is exactly the relaxing break we needed. Unbelievable January weather allowed us to even lay out in the sun in the lounge chairs in the lakeside yard. Fabulous views and sunsets and birds on the lake. We had our coffee each morning in the hot tub and watched the sunrise. A very neat and comfy home right on the lake. Highly recommended.

Great stay

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Owner was responsive and friendly when we wanted to book dates that weren’t on the calendar. Property was great! Kids loved the lake and really enjoyed fishing from the dock!! Wonderful weekend, great memories! We will definitely stay again!

Stay here if you’re looking for views and relaxation!

We booked at this Lakehouse as a last minute vacation with another couple, and it did not disappoint! The house was a perfect size, very inviting with tasteful lake decor and the views were outstanding. The pictures in the listing are good representations! Sunsets off the end of the dock we’re unbeatable, and we enjoyed our morning coffee looking out across the water from the hot tub. We took the kayaks out and ended up seeing all sorts of birds and a few rabbits on the shoreline. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need for meals at home and the house is very close to a local supermarket. We took advantage of the fireplace in the evenings after the sun went down and it made for a perfect setting to enjoy some local wine we picked up.

Just what we were looking for.....

This was the perfect getaway for us. A beautiful spot on the lake. We enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. The house was spotless and fully furnished with everything we needed. Very homey with photographs of much of the wildlife we saw while we were here. We will definitely be back. Thanks Dale.

Thank you for your kind words. This time of year the sunsets are incredible because of a few extra clouds here and there. You can’t help but admire the wide open view all the way across the lake to Mount Konocti and the serenity it brings just looking at it. Don’t wait too long to book up your dates for the summer.

Cleanliness

Outdoor space and sitting area is extremely dirty and lot of cobwebs etc. It would make stay better if overall things are clean and neat.

Outdoor areas are cleaned every time the indoor areas are cleaned and or course on a regular basis even if there is a vacant period in rental. Spider webs can form overnight at times. A bird can fly over and leave a dropping on a chair or table anytime, including while you are there. The wildlife should be one of the reasons you come to Clear Lake. There are cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink to take care of any of these types of issues that come up during your stay. Don't let little things diminish your experience at this wonderful sanctuary.

Do not Travel to this area

I would not recommend traveling to this area. There are abandon cars, it is basically in an RV lot. I would not let my fiancé go on a run without me. We were supposed to stay Monday - Saturday and checked out first thing Tuesday morning. We cut our losses and booked a place an hour and 30 minutes away at the Russian river instead. The lake is very dirty as well.

So sorry this guest didn't love this beautiful, private, lakefront property, with lush green lawn and shade trees and incredible, 180 degree, unobstructed views of the lake and Mt. Konocti. Absolutely not in an RV lot. Although the lake is low and the edge of the water is farther out the dock, the water is the normal color for this time of year and is surprisingly void of algae and weeds at this point. You can still tie up a boat to the side of the dock and catch fish off the dock as well. Enjoy the 2 kayaks available for your use to fish from or just explore the lake. This is a wonderful, relaxing slice of heaven with an abundance of wildlife thriving on this unbelievable ecosystem and ancient lake. Come and enjoy.

Ray’s family stay

The property is exactly as listed, Dale is a wonderful host and was available anytime that we had questions. We fished from the dock on Sunday and caught 7 nice black bass which was a plus and the kids had a great time in the Jacuzzi . Everything was nice and I had no complaints, Dale even gave us extra time to get packed at the end of our stay. My family will definitely return. Thanks Dale
