House on the seafront on the site of Utah-beach, famous landing beach not far from Sainte Mère Eglise. Ideally located, you can both visit the historic sites of the Second World War and enjoy a relaxing stay on the edge of a sandy beach.
The house has direct access to the dunes with no road to cross.
The living room is bright.
From the bedroom on the 1st floor you have a direct view of the sea.

Property is perfect, clean and plenty of room. Location is perfect on the beach. WW2 museum and many memorials 2 mins walk away. Beautiful nature reserve 5 mins walk away. Lots to do in area. Owners are very friendly and check in and out very easy. VRBO excellent kept us well informed all way through.

Wonderful stay at Utah Beach

We had a wonderful time in this charming hause near the beach. Perfect for dog owners.We will come back.

Trip to World War 2 sites

Myself, my partner & her 14 year old grandson had a great time visiting the normandy area. The property was right on the beach and in a very quiet location. The property had all the amenities you need and was clean throughout. Would highly recommend.

It is a lovely property at a fantastic location

We had a lovely week staying in this property. The house itself is very spacious and nicely laid out. It is visible that the owners have been updating it to a fairly high standard. The garden is a lovely size and the back gate opens straight onto Utah Beach. The museum is a short walk away and there is plenty of things to do around he area. But....we knew we had to bring our own linen (or rent it for 10 euro's per person) but I did not realise that it included toilet rolls, washing up liquid, sponges etc. We've stayed in a few properties before both in France, UK and Czech Republic and such basic things were always provided. So to our luck there was a supermarket open on Sunday to be able to get all those (very rare in France for shops to be open on Sunday's). However, there were dishwasher tablets provided...If you like to have a kettle then I suggest to take your own too as there is only a filter coffee maker (filters were provided luckily!!!) or you will have to resort to boiling water in a saucepan like we did if you wanted a herbal or "builders" tea. Would I stay again? Hhhmmm, probably just need to remember to take everything from home rather than having to buy it...but it is a lovely property at a fabulous location which is easy to find.

Alles gut! Tolle Lage. Nette Vermieter. Im Haus nicht alles perfekt, die Hauptsachen aber doch. Egal angesichts eines wunderbaren Strandes. St.Marie du Mont zudem ist schön.

Fijn huisSchoon en zeer uitgebreid qua inrichting van de keuken.Bed en badlinnen in voor een kleine prijs te huur.Huis staat op duin en is via kleine trap te betreden. Inpandige garageApart toilet en douche en ook in garage nog douche en toilet.

Prachtige locatie!

Wat een fantastische locatie. Tuin hekje open en je wandelt zo het strand op. Het huis was netjes en schoon. Er is voldoende bestek, potten, pannen enz. De douche kop is stuk en bleef niet hangen, die zou even vervangen moeten worden. Net zoals de matrassen. Die hebben hun beste tijd gehad. Maar dat heeft niet afgedaan aan onze vakantie.

Nettes Haus in toller Lage!

Wir haben uns insgesamt im Haus wohlgefühlt. Alles war gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und das Willkommensgeschenk wirklich nett. Der umzäunte Garten ist super mit Hunden und die Lage direkt hinterm Deich natürlich top! Leider waren im Haus einige Lampen kaputt und auch sonst müsste einiges renoviert werden. Auch die Lage der zweiten Bäder im Keller ist im Herbst/Winter etwas gruselig. Es wäre auch toll wenn draußen die Einfahrt/der Eingang gepflastert wäre oder Kies läge. So schleppt man permanent den Sand ins Haus weil er durch die Lage natürlich überall ist. Trotzdem eine schöne Woche!

80e anniversaire du jour J

Il était prévu ce qui suit : - 5 amis avec 2 jeeps dans des remorques - 14 jours pour participer aux célébrations du 80ème anniversaire du Débarquement Malheureusement, 2 amis ont été annulés, nous étions donc trois (chacun une chambre pour nous seuls - luxe) La maison est parfaite. Emplacement, commodités, design intérieur, mobilier, raccordement à l'eau extérieur, même un garage (où peuvent rentrer les deux jeeps). Balcon avant, patio en bord de mer avec accès privé. Les hôtes sont très gentils et arrangeants. Ils habitent à seulement 6 km et aideront dans la mesure du possible. Nous faisons ce voyage tous les 5 ans. C'est le meilleur logement (maison) que nous ayons jamais loué. Nous reviendrons certainement dans cette maison, quand nous le récupérons. Un grand merci à la famille Tourainne. Georg et ses amis d'Autriche *Google a traduit ceci...

Très belle region

Nous avons passés d'excellentes vacances nous sommes venus avec des amis , la location très bien placé juste petit portail à franchir et nous étions sur la plage. Nous avons pu faire des visites et surtout faire les musées du débarquement très intéressant et bien sûr émouvant. Une très belle région à visiter. A refaire.

Traumhafte Lage

Als Wiederholungstäter sind wir begeistert, dass das Haus energetisch saniert wurde, was das Heizen in der Übergangszeit sehr erleichtert. Tolle Lage. Bitte beachten, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher nicht inklusive sind - können aber problemlos für 10€ pro Person ausgeliehen werden. Die Einrichtung wurde maritimer gestaltet, seit unserem letzten Aufenthalt. Leider hat man jetzt keine Möglichkeit mehr Kleidung aufzuhängen, da es nur noch Kommoden gibt.

Perfekt für unsere Familie und Hund

Wir haben hier einen super Urlaub verbracht. Wir hatten genügend Platz, das Haus hat alles was man im Urlaub braucht. Ausstattung der Küche ist komplett, die Waschmaschine lief ohne Probleme, und es gibt WLAN. Aber was uns am besten gefiel war die Lage. 30 Meter durch die Dünen, und man ist am Strand. Ob tagsüber zum baden, oder abends eine Wattwanderung, es war einfach überragend. Auch unser Hund hat sich wohl gefühlt, wir hatten keine Probleme. Natürlich ist das Haus nicht nagelneu und man sieht es ihm hier und da an das es oft vermietet wurde, aber für unseren Urlaub war es optimal. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Absolutely fantastic

Superb host who answered all questions immediately, so kind and polite. The property is spacious with all facilities required, the garden is perfect for pets and children. From the back gate you can walk over a dune and on to the beach or from the front gate a 2 minute walk, for interest the Utah beach museum is under 5 minute walk away. Living area over two stories with a garage containing wet room, 2nd toilet, washing machine and the opportunity to purchase the owners home made cider/pommeau/apple juice. We hope to return next year as the experience was 10/10, the host 10/10, property 10/10 and the beach was definitely a 10! Thank you so much.

Sonnige Woche am Utah Beach

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir dieses schöne Haus besucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist Top, super mit Hund, Garten ist komplett eingezäunt. Betten sind sehr bequem und auch sonst alles in Ordnung! Wir kommen gerne wieder!
