3 Bedroom Cottage Backs on to Sauble Beach

Sandy Trail Lodge was completely renovated in 2015 and has received several more updates in 2020/2021/2022, such as gas fireplace, new entrance with double garden doors, full heating and cooling systems, complete bathroom renovation that doubled its size, kitchen updates that include a dishwasher and a water treatment system, refaced with solid pine-board siding, a cute TIKI bar was added.

Rent this centrally located 3 bed, 1 bath, sleeps 6 cottage for your next family vacation. Walking distance to downtown and only 50 steps to the world renowned Sauble Beach! Ideal for your next family vacation.

The property is very private and surrounded by tall cedar hedges.

Inside is fully furnished, open concept, a large well equipped kitchen, Smart TV, high speed WIFI internet, and 4 piece modern bathroom. Linens are not provided.

Outside there is a large front deck with tiki bar and fridge, side patio, yard and outdoor fire pit with plenty of seating, natural gas BBQ, outdoor cooling shower and is very private.

Excellent location that is walking distance to the beach and to the town of Sauble Beach. Lots of room to sit and relax inside and out. It’s a quirky property which looks like additions added to an original cottage. The quirkiness makes it more charming though. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay here! The property was lovely and clean, and all we could have asked for a lovely cottage getaway. Tim was very helpful and responsive, and we all had a great time (including the dogs!)

A nice cozy place! Close to the beach (1min walking distance). You need to bring your own bed sheets, pillow, blanket, shower towel, shower and body wash.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Beautiful inside and out. Very close to the beach and everything was provided and most important to me the dogs were allowed.

Great Cottage

Clean, everything is described perfectly. I will be back in warmer weather and enjoy everything within walking distance to the cottage. We held Thanksgiving here for our small family it could not have been better other than the rainy weather. Thanks Tim

Sandy trails cottage

I have never been to Sauble beach and it more than exceeded my expectations! The property was beautiful and the lot was more perfect than I thought I would be. It was a great location and very private. I think the bathroom could use a little work but I would definitely recommend and we would love to come back.

Perfect Little Cottage

This was the perfect cottage for our family of 4. Location was great. Only a few steps from the beach and downtown area. Tim was a great host. Always communicated with us and made sure we were have a wonderful time. I would completely suggest this cottage to my family and friends if they are looking for something in Sauble Beach. Thanks Tim for sharing your property with us. We had so much fun, even on the one rainy day we had while there.

A short stay after Labour Day

The cottage was lovely. The location was great. Close to the beach and to the main drag. The owner was quick to reply to messages. The big issue for us was and still hasn't been resoved, was VRBO charging us in American funds, instead of Canadian which we had assumed. We live in Canada and were renting a Canadian property, why would that even be an issue? We're hoping this will be resolved soon.

Amazing

We just Loved the Lodge it was so, Clean and Close to the Beach we could hear the waves was amazing, We one block to the main shops and restaurants. My daughter and I had the best time and relaxed on the beautiful beach everyday of our vacation and listened to the waves, We enjoyed our coffee on the amazing front decks with the sun rise it was so, Relaxing. The Lodge was everything we dreamed it would be and the Beds where very comfortable, We had everything we needs for our stay and would recommend our rental to everyone that is looking for a care free vacation and beautiful place to get away. Vrbo and Owner was very Helpful and took time out to text Us to see how we where and made sure we where confortable with our stay, Thank You that was very thoughtful. We want to Thank You for renting us your Beautiful Cottage and the Memories we will always share togerther, Thank You.

Ideal rental experience

Could not have asked for a more perfect spot for our girls weekend !!! Looks even better than the pictures:) Check-in was seamless, and the place was in immaculate condition (with ample kitchen appliances available!). The location is unbeatable: across the street from the beach, an 8-10 minute walk over to the main street. The fire pit outside with marshmellow roasting sticks made for a great campfire night. Patio set-up is great for entertaining, and the umbrella was big enough that all 5 of us comfortably spent the afternoon outside while it was raining. Internet was strong, tv included an hdmi cord so we had no issues connecting our laptop for a movie night. The real jewel of the rental, however, is the owner, Tim. Tim was so beyond helpful both in the weeks leading up to our stay and throughout the weekend. He really went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. I have nothing but good things to say about this experience, would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Tim!!

Cute Cottage

This was our first experience with renting a cottage and it was absolutely perfect!! Tim was an Amazing host! Right from the beginning with booking his communications with us was above and beyond! He had even text me once we were in to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything! The cottage was so welcoming when we arrived with the lights on low and the local radio station on to welcome us!! Pictures of the cottage really couldn’t do it justice as it was even more beautiful and cozy than we had anticipated!! The cottage was supplied with everything we needed and more and although we only stayed two nights both my partner and I wish that we could have had the time in our schedules to stay longer. Thank you Tim for everything!! We can’t wait to come back!!

Close to beach, close to town but still quiet with room for 5-6

We had a very nice trip to Sauble Beach. The owner was very easy to work with, helpful in answering questions, and refunded our deposit quickly. The cottage has been partially remodeled and suited our needs as we explored the Bruce Peninsula. The kitchen is maybe the best well-stocked kitchen in our 7 VRBO rentals across the US & Canada, the wifi had good speed, and the wagon to haul stuff to the beach was most appreciated. The only issue with the cottage itself was the screen missing in the back door so we couldn't leave it open at night due to bugs coming in. This prevents getting a cross breeze, which could be an issue in hotter months since this home doesn't have AC. The walk to the beach is simple and easy for just nearly anyone. However, the trail from the home to the beach does come out onto the First Nations portion of the beach. This isn't bad per se, but we were stopped twice during our stay by a patrol vehicle stating we needed to pay a walk-on fee. Once we explained where we were renting a home they let us come on without paying, but did suggest the homeowner get a pass for guests. Also, this is a drive-on beach and you'll need to get on the other side of the berm to be out of the way of traffic. The home is close to town but far enough that it's not noisy and we walked pretty much everywhere we went. The cottage shares a lot with another cottage and there isn't much privacy between the two, which could be good or bad depending upon who your neighbors are, but we got lucky with a nice family. Our children played together some. We couldn't find the Netflix password posted anywhere, but we didn't try to turn on the TV either as we were busy doing other things. Parking was a bit tight for us (full size pickup and an SUV crossover) without hanging out in the street a little, but mostly you should have room for 2 cars. Overall, we would recommend a stay here.

Yes it was the perfect little cottage which our out of country family absolutely adored. Nice beach, great little restaurants, convenient grocery store and easy access to Tobermory. Canadiana at its best. Great memories for everyone. Thank you.
