Great Stay!

The property was beautiful, and perfect for our big group of 10! The pool was beautiful, with an easy automatic cover that took seconds to operate. The house was just as listed on its profile. Only note is that if you have an early flight or departure, you should know that washing all of your own sheets and towels is a part of the rental agreement. Host was very accomodating and easy to reach!

summer family respite

so peaceful and lush with an incredible yard and pool. the kids had the freedom they needed to run, play, and explore. the adults had plenty of places for quiet reading. so much seating. we could all dine in or outside together and gather in one room to hang. we couldn’t decide if we liked the cozy fireplace den or the big breezy living room. very well supplied home. and so close to town, yet felt rural, settled in amongst the land banks. the trails to town were a sweet discovery passing by apple orchards and ponds along the way

Fantastic Stay

Our stay at the house was absolutely wonderful — it was stocked with everything you could need for a large group. The house and yard is even better than described and the pool is icing on the cake. The owners were incredibly communicative and responsive throughout our entire stay. The location was ideal with town, the beach, and Cisco a scenic bike ride or walk away. I highly recommend staying here and would rebook without question.

What an amazing property

The house at 12 Hawthorne Lane was the perfect vacation home for my family! It’s extremely versatile with 2 large family rooms inside and 3 different sitting areas outside - a side grill deck with a large sit-down table, a back deck with ample patio furniture, and the swimming pool with big umbrellas and seats. All of the amenities worked so well - a LARGE washer and dryer, an indoor and garage refrigerator, the dishwater, garage to store our bikes, and all kitchen appliances. The house was well stocked with paper products and basic necessities along with ample towels for the swim scene. And the pool! It is awesome - so clean, with an electric pool cover and a pool house with loads of toys and 2 showers. Overall, the house provided such a practical and warm home for our big family!

Girl’s Weekend

Meg’s house was perfect for a long weekend girl’s trip! The 8 of us enjoyed the beautiful pool, yard, and great room. The house is large and and fit our group comfortably. The location was very convenient - walkable to town and close to bike paths. We would definitely recommend!

Beautiful home with all the amenities

This was a great house for the size group that we had (8 adults and 3 toddlers). The kids loved having their own space in the basement with bunk beds. The house was spacious enough to not feel like we were crowded and we were able to comfortably eat together. The location is within walking distance to downtown (about a 30 minute walk) and the yard was great for the kids to run around in to burn some energy. Meg was a pleasure to work with on the rental.

College reunion trip to Nantucket

The property was a good fit for our group of 10 and had a mix of accommodations to meet our group's needs. There was plenty of space for us all to hang out together or separately, either in the "Great Room" with it's spacious dining table and tv lounge, to the smaller front living room, the outside patios (one outside the kitchen and one outside the "Great Room" ) or the kitchen where we did a lot of cooking together. The outside heated pool and lounge area was a big bonus! The location of the house was outside town, but walkable and there is a bus stop for the "Wave," the island's public transportation system at the top of the road. Cabs responded quickly and had fun, friendly drivers. Our host was very helpful from the beginning of our booking through our stay and had a lot of useful info about the house and Nantucket in general to share with us . I would highly recommend this house and host for those looking for a large group setting in Nantucket.

Perfect stay for large group

We needed a large place for about 10 people on Nantucket for my son's wedding week. Megs place was absolutely amazing.... several discrete sleeping areas, 2 huge living rooms, and an amazing outdoor area with pool. Meg was so gracious and generous letting us host the rehearsal party there. We had a food truck and plenty of room for the whole party. It's very walkable to town, and a very short ride to several beaches. Outstanding experience, thank you so much Meg!

Fabulous family home in the heart of ACK.

Can’t recommend this stay enough. Meg was extremely communicative and very kind during our stay. The pool and property were magnificent and every detail was thoughtfully prepared ahead of our arrival. We can’t wait to come back!

Gem close to Cisco and Town

Stayed for the 4th of July week this year. Two families, including 6 kids ranging from 9-14. House is immaculate and well stocked. Beds are super comfortable and the AC is great to keep things dry. The pool is beautiful and a great way to end every day. Two outdoor showers made coming home from the beach easy, not to mention a beautiful spot to cool down after a morning run or ride. Meg responded to every question promptly and was always easy to work with. 5 stars without question.

Amazing weekend!

We had an amazing weekend at this house! The weather was gorgeous and the pool was the perfect place to lounge during the day. It was a short walk to town but we opted to use Uber more frequently. (Low cost and always available.) We took advantage of the included bikes and rode to Cisco Beach one morning. Be prepared for a 3 mile ride! The bike paths are great and can easily be accessed from the house. We enjoyed dinner at Ventuno and music at Club Car during our stay. Overall, we had a great stay and cannot wait to come back!

Family Nantucket Vacation

Great house and yard for all ages; lots of extras with pool floats, beach towels, yard toys, bicycles. Several eating area options. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, nice decor throughout. Very clean. Great swimming pool. Great owner communication with lots of details, helpful info throughout process. Excellent location to walk or bicycle into town center.

Perfect Nantucket retreat

The house was perfect for our large group with multiple seating areas both indoor and outdoor. We had plenty of spaces to be all together while also places for people to be on their own and the relax. The pool and outdoor set up was perfect for hanging out during the day. Meg was super responsive to communicate with and provided amazing insights on things to do on island. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to strip beds, wash towels etc. if you are headed out early on the check out day. Can't wait to get back to ACK!

I'm Meg! My husband and I have always loved Nantucket. It is such a special place to us that we decided to get married there. We live in New York full time, but we are always looking for a way to get back out to Nantucket.

We purchased this home in the Fall of 2014. This house has been a very fun and special project for us, and we enjoy sharing our home with both repeat and new visitors to the island.
