After two weeks traveling around Scotland and staying at a dozen different self-catering spots, this place was the gold standard. Susan‘s place was perfect: easy and convenient access to a whole corner of the country, impeccably clean and appointed (perfect for our toddler grandbaby), delightfully comfortable and cozy. On our return flight to the US my daughter said, ˋI wish we’d spent more time in Inverness, and I couldn’t agree more…

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It is by far the best rental we’ve had anywhere. It was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated and maintained. I didn’t want to leave. The owner is delightful, warm, friendly and responsive. It would be perfect for couples or families. It has games and toys for kids, dog bowls and beds, kid gates, etc. I can’t give it enough praise. We will definitely return over and over again.

From our first contact with Susan, through our arrival and stay, our experience was enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. Beautiful, spotless, comfortable home with all the amenities. Warm and welcoming and well-located for exploring Inverness and the Spey valley.

Susan is a great host. This was comfortably the best property we’ve stayed in. She has thought of pretty much everything.
The beds are supremely comfortable, great living room, excellent garden - which can be fully enclosed if you’re travelling with a pooch.
Daviot is a great location for exploring in and around Inverness.
10 mins or so to the city centre, 10-15 mins to Culloden, 45 mins to Aviemore.

This place was so comfy, cozy, and clean! Susan was a great host and easy to communicate with. The house was very well appointed and had great amenities. It was a perfect spot to get away from it all, while still being close to Inverness for necessities. 10/10, would stay again!

We were in Scotland with my young children and parents for 12 nights, and our 4 nights at the Old Police House were by far the most enjoyable. It is beautiful, comfortable and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.

The old police house was easy to find and at a great locations. The host responded asap when sent messages and the place itself was beautiful and very comfy.

The property complimented the Highland scenery and was located in a great spot for sight seeing and relaxation.The house has everything a guest could want and the host was very responsive and friendly.The "Old Police House" was a fabulous choice for a family and we would love to come back.

Beautiful, spacious, clean, and wonderful location for our time in Inverness. Susan was the best host yet! She had great suggestions for meals and places to visit. Would definitely recommend!!

I moved to Daviot in 2006 and had a family, the boys are now 17, 17, 19
Living next door to the Old Police House and watching it decay and ruin we decided to save the property and bought it...Then started to renovate the house, with a holiday cottage in mind...we had a good team of builders, stonemason's and joiners. The project took 18 month to complete and is now an amazing home.

The Old Police House was in a state of Disrepair and living next door It was the prime opportunity to do something with it and turn it in to a holiday cottage.

The History of the house was fascinating as it started around 1880 as a local grocers shop then around 1945 it was auctioned to the police where the local Bobby stayed and looked after Daviot and Strathnairn. It was then used by a local housing association and was not looked after very well...Then we transformed it to how it is today.
