At Casa Simpatico, you're just steps from Lover's Point beach and close to town: a recipe for vacation perfection. Sink into the leather sofa to enjoy the bay view and the flat screen TV (not shown), or step outside to experience the natural wonders of the Peninsula. Life is easy at this Mission-style bungalow. In fact, it's muy simpatico.
This snug little bungalow has buttercup walls, dark wood floors, and tasteful espresso furniture throughout. There's a wrought iron king bed in the master, and a trundle bed in the guest room that sleeps two. The shared bath has a shower, tile countertops, and a mirror bordered in iridescent seashells.
When you're not exploring the shoreline, surf the Internet at the breakfast bar or spread out at the full-sized desk in the guest room. Hungry? Stroll downtown, whip up a meal in the compact kitchen, or barbecue outdoors in the sheltered patio.asdf

A perfect place

This little gem was perfect for my getaway. The view of the bay in all of its varied shades of blue just makes for a great day. The rooms are large and comfortable. It felt like a home instead of a modern hotel. I hope one day I am able to stay there again.

Great location, lovely small house, responsive management

We really enjoyed our stay at Pacific Grove - location, house and setup. Very convenient and cozy with love to details. Especially we enjoyed beach just across the street, view from dining room, fireplace and tiny private backyard. Way above our expectations!

The house is the perfect size for 3 people! The location was great as it is close to the beach and restaurants in PG. Monterey is only a short walk about on the beautiful coast trail. We loved it!

Two in a Row

It is the second year that we have rented this adorable bungalow right off Lover's Point. Perfectly located, you can get up early or late and walk the Bay or to any of the local restaurants. I hate to say how wonderful it is as it could mean it won't be available for us again next year.

Charming Casita!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming casita! The location was perfect, steps away from the the lovely Lover’s Point, bike and kayak rentals, restaurants and shopping. The house was fully equipped with everything you need and had comfortable beds. We loved the view where we could watch otters in the kelp beds. Every day we walked or biked the miles of dedicated trails along the gorgeous coastline starting at the end of the block from the house. The manager at Monterey Rentals was great to work with and we look forward to staying at this property again in the future.

Perfection!

This is the cutest house ever!!! My husband and I were so happy with everything about it. From the comfortably decorated, super clean house in the quietest neighborhood to the prefect location just steps away from Lovers Point Beach. It's completely walkable to downtown Pacific Grove and to Canney Row. Truly the only thing I didn't like about this house was leaving. We will definitely be renting here again!

Great view and location

We loved staying in this home. It was the perfect size for two, the location was perfect, just across the street from Lovers Point and a short walk to downtown PG with plenty of opportunity for shopping and eating. The king size bed was really comfortable and the linens were high quality. We used the second bedroom as an office because it had a small desk. The furniture in the living area was comfortable and the view from the dining table was great so we ate there and enjoyed the scenery a few times. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and accessories, everything you need to cook. The folks at Monterey Rentals were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay again soon! Thank you for a great place to stay, home away from home.

I'll be back!!

Great house, cute and clean. Could not have asked for a better location. Cannery row is in walking distance and the walking paths along the shore line are amazing. The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need. The only thing I found missing was a mop for the floors, and I thought they should have supplied a couple extra blankets. All in all it was a great week. We watched two Humpback whales in the bay every morning at breakfast from the dining room table. We will definitely be back to this wonderful place.

Great Bay View

My husband and I try to come to Pacific Grove every other year for at least one week. We always rent a house by the bay. This was our first stay at Casa Simpatico but it will not be our last. The house was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The view of the bay from the living room was spectacular. Because of the view, we ate dinner at "home" 4 times, which we never do. Love the location - can walk to everything Pacific Grove has to offer including the Monterey Acquarium My only suggestion - please have the kitchen knives sharpened.

Casa Simpatico

We rented this lovely little house for my son-in-laws birthday in April. The best thing about this house is the location just steps away from the beach and Lover's Point. We loved being able to walk out our door and be at the beach in minutes. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Although we did not cook the kitchen had it all. The king size bed was very comfortable. It does not have a bathtub but a nice shower. We had my little 1 yr old granddaughter so we brought a little blow up bathtub for her. Check in/check out was very easy. We have been going to Pacific Grove/Monterey for years and know the area well. This location cannot be beat! Will definitely stay here again!

A quaint and lovely little cottage

We arrived late in the evening on a Friday. We were tired and although we could hear the ocean waves, I don't think it registered with either of us. The next morning we got up and opened the curtains and WOW! What a view! Waves breaking in the cove of Lover's Point, surfers out, people walking along the bluffs; in sum what a great location. The cottage is set up perfectly as a cozy retreat for up to 4 people but absolutely perfect for a couple. The dining table by the windows overlooking the ocean was beautifully laid out with colorful pottery dishes and bowls. The kitchen was just the right size with every appliance one might need. The town is within walking distance and of course so is the ocean. Simply put, a romantic and lovely little place. We intend to return!

Good and Bad

The Casa Simpatico has some wonderful features, which are that the windows in the dining area look directly to the ocean. One could enjoy dinner for hours. Excellent location! The kitchen is well supplied with utensils, dishes, and and cutlery, and there is a little table for breakfast too. The drive way accommodates one car (two if you pull forward) and is convenient. There is a little patio behind the house which is charming, sunny, and complete with a table and chairs. The down sides are as follows: the bed is far too HIGH! the shower is a little small, and the furniture is leather which is very slippery. Conventional fabric covering would be far more comfortable so slipping to the floor is not a threat. The passage in the bedroom is a tight: one person OK, two people no.

Casa Simpatico -surpassed expectation and true to pictures and home discription

The location for this well appointed home was right on point. Steps away from Lovers Point-a wonderful cove beach-great for adults and children swimming pleasure..a few minutes from the entrance for the 17 mile drive. Very close to cannery row...Master bed-very comfy-but NO TV..this was not a problem for us but maybe for others. If you are a home cook, the kitchen and all of its appliances,pots,pans, dishware are in excellent shape for proper use. NOTE- before you go shopping for food stuffs, check the cabinets for spice's before you buy, check draws for paper products-as that will minimize duplicate purchases..As i said--well appointed. The home was clean -with gleaming floors, sparkling kitchen and bath-to back yard. The driveway however, is only suitable for a compact car with a high profile as there is a dip right in front of the drive way that your car could "bottom out" and cause you to scrap front end while going into driveway and scrap bumper as you exit..our car rental was a Chevy Malibu and decided after 1 attempt to park on street without a problem..WE WOULD RENT AGAIN

Wonderful spring month in Pacific Grove

My husband and I spent the month of April at Casa Simpatico. It was a fantastic house for the two of us. Check in and check out were simple, with a keypad lock that meant we did not have to pick up keys or arrange a meeting time with the managers. The house was great -- better than advertised. The water "peek" is really a beautiful view from the dining room table and the front porch. The house was clean and well-equipped with things like hand and dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher soap, trash bags, and toilet paper. Of course for a month we had to buy more of most essentials. The washer, dryer, oven/stove, and dishwasher all worked great. There is plenty of space for two people to live, work, and eat in the house. The location cannot be beat. It is literally steps from the trail, water, and lovers point. Note that the driveway is really narrow. We have a small SUV and while we were able to park there, we mostly chose to use street parking for easier access in and out of the car. That said, over one month there was only one day when we had any trouble finding a place to park near the house. If work allows, I expect we will be back next year. Definitely consider Casa Simpatico for your Pacific Grove stay.

We were not renting for a vacation but to find a permanent residence, so we lived there, cooking every night etc.This place was great!A perfect location for walking to the beach or to town.One block to the weekly farmers market was another plus.It was just the two of us, but the second bedroom could accomodate guests and with the desk, we could work from home.I was worried about just one bathroom, but the size and storage made it fine.There is a small backyard to get some sun and BBQ but mostly I liked that I could open the back door and get a nice breeze.If we ever had to rent again in PG, for an extended time, we would definitely come again and totally recommend this home.

Casa Simpatica e Bellissima

This house is well named! It is very well stocked and not over done (with too many pillows, throws, artificial plants etc.) it just has useful stuff, and is nicely decorated in a style that is comfortable and practical, also tasteful but not the blue and white in vogue these days. The main king bed is comfortable and warm, we stayed for a month in January so weather was mostly cool (50s). The appliances all did their jobs, the view of the Pacific/Monterey Bay was great, could see surfers from a distance which motivated me to go for walks. The proximity to downtown is a great feature, the recreational trail is a few steps, the terrific library a few blocks, restaurants and shops 2 or 3 blocks, neighborhood has tons of great older houses to enhance walks. Would recommend for small families, singles and couples. Driveway is narrow but parking on street is easy. Grocery store 4 block walk; Trader Joe's a short drive. The heating system in winter is in livingroom, there are space heaters for the other rooms. We put one on low in bigger BR (didn't use the other BR). Gas Fireplace also warms livingroom.

The property had a very nice sea view and well kept with all the requirements and more. We had a great time. The only issue was the living area was well heated but the rest of the property was quick cold. The heaters were not enough to keep the rooms warm. Thank you. Best Regards

Casa Simpatica

We have stayed in the house 2 times. We found it very clean the first time, and adequately clean the second time. Towels and linens in good shape, although there is still a lack of adequate dish towels for drying dishes and hands. The kitchen tools and appliances are all one could need and more. The screen on the vent over the stove needs attention and cleaning. No other needs indoors that we noticed. We had to request that the windows be washed outside instead of that being part of normal expectations. However, requests, such as an additional portable heater, were dealt with quickly and in a friendly manner. We felt quite comfortable in Casa Simpatica. In fact, we have felt so comfortable that we have reserved it for a third stay!` However, so you may be aware, there are a few things that need attention. The screen on the vent over the stove, and the lower corner by the shower. We know you will take care of these, as you did on some concerns from our first stay.

We delivered more dish towels, had the vent screen over the stove cleaned, and are working on the shower corner issue you mentioned. We look forward to your return!

Cute House in Great Location

This is an adorable little house a block from the beach. Very comfortable and pretty well maintained. It's old, but that gives it charm. Comfortable king bed. Nice big television with basic cable stations. The washer needs to be repaired or replaced. It didn't spin the towels enough so they were very wet when the cycle finished. Re-spinning them didn't help. The garbage disposal needed a slight repair, but after calling the maintenance man, he came immediately and fixed it within the day.

We absolutely loved our home. It was the BEST location to the ocean, downtown, Monterey, Carmel and Pebble Beach. The home was so clean and had everything we needed. Thank you!! We hope to come back soon.

Pleasantly surprised

We have rented several vacation homes and I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little bungalow. The quality of all the amenities were a higher end of the other places we have stayed. From the plush and nice size towels, the kitchen appliances to the cozy gas fireplace. Even the trundle bed was comfortable to sleep on. In addition, the location was perfect. Easy access to the beach, lover’s point and a nice restaurant. I would highly recommend this place as a great place to stay.

Lovely place

We really enjoyed Casa Simpatico. It was well furnished, and had beautiful dishes and table linens. The kitchen has everything you might need, including spices, oil and coffee. The location was terrific. I would definitely return. P.S. The grammar is off. It should be Casa Simpatica.
