Casa Bella Mar is on the waterfront. A self-catering beach front villa, being front-line walk out of the garden directly onto the beach. Beautifully furnished by the owner. Master bedroom with balcony overlooking the sea, lie in bed, hear the sea and watch the spectacular sun rise. Sitting/dinning room with double French doors overlooks the back garden and fantastic sea views. Breakfast in the garden is a must. Master double bedroom with luxury ensuite bath, shower with sea views, twin room and double room overlooking swimming pool, double with balcony and spiral staircase leading up to the large roof sun terrace with all day sun and spectacular 360 degree views overlooking the sea and mountains. The kitchen is very well equipped with washing machine, oven, combination oven and dish washer and overlooks the swimming pool.
Built just a while ago everything is in pristine condition. Fantastic location for a quiet, romantic, relaxing beach holiday in the sun, with the sea on the doorstep. Great garden and large patio area for BBQs.
NEW TV system installed February 2018 with a choice from hundreds of channels in many different languages, including Sky Sports, BBC and ITV.

The waters and rock pools at the end of the garden are crystal clear and provide excellent snorkeling and fishing areas. There are many beautiful sandy beaches near to El Calon which are well worth exploring.

Golf and Snow skiing: There are four 18 hole golf courses within an easy drive, Dessert Springs which is the only dessert championship course within Europe, used for winter training, an absolutely stunning course, the fabulous Val del Este, the stunning course at Aguilon and Marina Golf overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The fabulous sunny ski resort of Sierra Nevada is approximately a 2 1/4 hour drive away.
Shopping, market and site seeing trips can be arranged. Also shopping can be ordered and delivered to the house.

The house has a Burglar Alarm system fitted.

Quite, quite place under the sun!

Nice and quite house with pro. service! Some new frying pans would be nice to add to the otherwise well-equipped kitchen.

El Calon holiday

Beautiful location with sea views and access to the beach. Very comfortable house , well equiped kitchen and a variety of outside seatimg , with BBQ. Probably due to the time of year ( mid Jan - mid Feb), wonderfully peaceful and quiet. We appreciated the outside space which has been nicely planted to provide a green garden area to relax in.

Nice little 3 bedroom villa

A clean & tidy property . The stairs are a bit steep with a turn on them , not easy for anyone disabled . A sweet location , though sadly you need to drive to a sandy beach

The rise is lower than the normal by 19%, which is better. The depth is 25% more than the normal, which is better. The width is 11% wider than the normal, which is better. The return is the standard maximum size.

Very nice house in a small village

Everything exactly as described. View is stunning. House is not a classical rental but you find everything….more than the normal 6 plates in rental homes. You defintely need a car to go to the supermarket or a large sandy beach….but enjoying the quiet and familiar atmosphere of this small place is worth it. The only restoran is only 50 m down the beach walk…and also very familiar.

Breathtaking!

Our stay was everything we had hoped for and more! So glad we came, we highly recommend! The house is equipped with everything you need, we didn‘t have to go out and buy any basics at all. There are supermarkets close by, the towns nearby are fun to discover, or you can just lounge by the pool or ocean. The rooms are quaint, the beds comfortable, there’s an air conditioner in every room, the bathrooms are modern and everything is clean. Dogs are welcome, ours loved looking at the ocean from the balcony. The view is absolutly breathtaking, what luxury to wake up to the view and sound of the ocean every morning!

Great apartment with communal pool. Great for a holiday with plenty of peace and quiet. Surrounding area is not very demanding for activities. Great beach for dogs 8 minutes away. With little swell behind the house great for snorkelling and a nice village beach bar / restaurant. The service staff at the accommodation is great. The ladies are very nice, very helpful and help with all questions. The accommodation could use a few renovations / updates which are probably planned for September 2025. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. One point deduction for outdated inventory, especially with regard to the kitchen materials. Some of the knives were already in an alarmingly dangerous condition and I even injured myself on one of them. This should definitely be changed in September. Otherwise everything else is great. Brilliant beachfront escape

We never tired of the sunrises and the roar of the waves. It truly is an amazing position. So relaxing and the air couldn't be fresher. We were lucky with great weather (having left Gatwick in snow on Easter Monday) and were able to eat outside on the terrace every night. We even had a BBQ one night. 15 mins away the Consum supermarket has an excellent fish counter so we bought heaps of langoustine. Also a fantastic selection of fruit and veg, a bakery and wide choice of wines too. We also bought bread off a guy who comes along the beach in his van every morning. Very civilised. The house is really well equipped and a perfect bolthole, tucked away on a very quiet stretch of coast. The only bit of equipment I missed was a dishwasher but that's just being lazy. Great to hear about the solar heating as the pool was too cold to use. We will definitely go back. Easyjet flights to Murcia are great value and it's a lovely, easy little airport. Jill's recommendation of carjet.com was spot on and we were pleased with the car.

2010 wintering in EL Calon Spain

We travel to Spain every winter with our two West Highland terriers and know the area very well. The situation was ideal for our needs with a glorious vista of the sea and shoreline. Especially memorable is waking to the sun rising across the water. A secure and comfortable garden area was a bonus and gated access to the shoreline was very convenient for dog walking with an interesting, pleasant 1 hour amble along the coastal paths. The village is clean and tidy and the natives are very friendly and helpful. Inland there is plenty of natural and historical habitats to explore on foot without resorting to driving, but this is serious walking country needing good boots and plenty of stamina. However, a car is essential for shopping - organisation and planning is an important aspect to the weekly shopping trip. The property is well equipped for self catering and very comfortable in good or inclement weather. The garden enjoys the sun all day and is well sheltered. We were able to breakfast on the patio most of the time where we spent a great deal of our time in pursuit of our many interests. The nearest urbanisation at San Juan (3 miles) is essentially a summer resort and quite deserted in the winter. Aguilas (10Miles) has much more to offer as a typical Spanish town especially with the carnival atmosphere in February. However, this year was a disaster due to a week of stormy weather. Villaricos (6Miles) is a charming favourite resort and very popular with the British and Spanish with a good Sunday market. There is much to explore in the surrounding countryside and villages, but a car is essential. Would we do it again? Yes! especially for the relaxation and comfort it provides and to escape the British winter. It has been, without doubt, our best winter sojourn in Spain - simply for the quality of the accommodation, the location and the situation. Muy razonable

Fui con algo de miedo por alguna reseña negativa que vi, la casa esta para vivir desde 4 dias que estuvimos nosotros hasta 15-20 dias sin ningun problema, no le falta de nada. Tienes que ser consciente de que no tiene playa propia y que para todo tienes que ir en coche, pero estas a 25 metros del mar. Mi valoracion es muy positiva.

Alojamiento inigualable

Es la segunda vez que reservamos esta casa maravillosa. Despertarse con el susurro del mar y poder desayunar, comer y cenar viendo el mar es un lujo. La casa es comodísima y tiene incluído todo lo que hemos necesitado, y también para nuestro bebé de 6 meses. Hemos estado encantados y han sido unos días de descanso absoluto, donde hemos podido disfrutar de tiempo de calidad en familia. El pueblecito tiene muy poca gente, son familias fundamentalmente y es muy tranquilo. La playa es estupenda aunque también recorrimos las calas que hay a 5 - 10 minutos en coche. Recomiendo al 100% este alojamiento y a Jill su propietaria que es encantadora y ha estado muy pendiente de nosotros. ¡Gracias Jill, volveremos seguro!

No fue lo esperado

Alquilamos la casa a un año vista. Según comentarios de otros usuarios y las fotos era un destino inmejorable. Al llegar la limpieza de la casa era justa, la limpieza de la cocina menos que justa, utensilios de cocina rotos, oxidados y sucios, casi toda la vajilla de plástico desgastado de color amarillo... Vamos... mejor tirar todo y poner todo nuevo. Las camas horribles y almohadas (por llamarlas de alguna forma) eran auténticos rompe cuellos. El Jardín muy descuidado, lleno de cosas viejas y desgastadas o no funcionaban. La escobilla del baño que nos encontramos era el cepillo con menos de un palmo de mango, por lo visto se rompió pero no se cambió... a meter la mano si la querías utilizar. La televisión inexistente, menos mal que llevé el portátil y por internet pudimos ver algo. Cobertura de móvil 0. Desconectar vas a desconectar... eso seguro. En definitiva la casa está muy descuidada y le falta una buena metida de mano. El lugar? Olvídate de bañarte en la playa... no existe playa. Debes ir entre piedras saltando como las cabras... para encontrar playa con arena donde nuestros hijos pudieran jugar y nadar tranquilamente debíamos ir a más de 20Km en coche. Eso sí, en tiempos de Coronavirus vino bien estar allí porque casi es una zona desierta de gente.

Excelentísima casa. Situación inmejorable

El alojamiento, la ubicación, el menaje de la casa y la limpieza inmejorables. Son una pena las deficientes comunicaciones en tecnología. La televisión prácticamente no se ve, no hay cobertura móvil etc. Sería deseable que las personas que intermedian en el alquiler hablasen algo mas de castellano. Si no fuese por esos dos detalles (mas importante el primero) sería una puntuación de diez sin paliativos.

ESTANCIA MUY AGRADABLE

Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy gratificante. La casa está en un lugar privilegiado, es como estar al pie del mar . Quien busque contacto continuo con el mar este lugar es inmejorable. Es fundamental ir equipados con zapatillas especiales por el acceso rocoso pero vale la pena. Tranquilidad y disfrute. La casa es tal cual las fotos, muy agradable y limpia. Totalmente equipada. Muy agradecidos por la atención para hacer de la llegada algo fácil.

Semana Santa 2019. Llovió todos los días y no importó ! Casa fenomenal, limpísima, cómoda y en un escenario incomparable. El arrullo del mar como música de fondo. Qué más se puede pedir ? Nos encantaría repetir, por supuesto.

Una maravilla

Estuvimos 15 días en agosto. Matrimonio con tres niñas y una perrita. La casa: Cómoda, limpia y totalmente equipada, nos hizo sentirnos como en nuestro propio hogar. El entorno: En la urbanización El Calón, un sitio muy tranquilo y relajante, con la seguridad de poder dejar a las niñas salir por los alrededores y bañarse solas sin preocupación. La maravilla de tener el mar a solo un paso para nadar, bucear, pescar, sin salir de casa. El clima: Calor, las noches más frescas. El agua, cálida y transparente, para no salirse del mar. Tuvimos casi todos los días viento de poniente, con más calor pero el mar como un plato, perfecto para el baño de toda la familia. Los últimos días salto el levante, mucho más fresco pero se levantaron olas y se hizo peligroso el baño, ojo con esto. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasar una vacaciones maravillosas, lo recomiendo al 100%. Como nota negativa, indicar que nos falló el wifi y estuvimos los 15 días sin internet y que la TV apenas tiene canales españoles.

As soon as we saw Casa Bella Mar it was everything we dreamed of, a house with a garden that you can walk straight onto the beach. The views are stunning overlooking the sea from the garden, living room and master bedroom. The balcony has 360 degree magnificent view.
