6/20-6/27, 6/27-7/4,7/18-7/25, 7/25-8/1,8/15-8/22, (all by the week Friday to Friday though I will consider 3-4 nights at beginning or end of week), 8/25-9/8, (3 night minimum), 10/8-10/20 including MEA weekend (3 night minimum (7 nights 10% off) 12/18-1/5 (5 night minimum/7 nights 10% off). 10% discount for a week during all but last 2 weeks of July, 7/18-7/25 and 7/25-8/1. Those weeks are peak summer and rent at the standard summer rates. Summer weeks rents by the week from Friday to Friday. So put Friday start and end dates in to see availability as listed above as available. Memorial and Labor Day weekends and the first week/weekend of September available at 3 night minimum though again a 7 night stay is 10% off from anytime from May/early June, and 8/25-9/8. 12/18-1/5 for Christmas and/or New Years at 5 night minimum. But stretch it to 7 nights or more and you get 10% off your stay! Gather your family in the northwoods by the fireplace for an old fashioned northern Christmas or New Years. Firewood provided!

Also note that I have relaxed the cancellation policy for the remainder of bookings in 2025. Effective immediately, 100% refund will be provided for a cancellation 14 days before check-in and a
50% refund will be provided for a cancellation 7-14 days before check-in. Otherwise, no refund.

I also rent a Forester Fisher 18 foot pontoon for the length of your stay only. Prices vary so contact me for details. See pics. I am very reasonable on rates compared to local Marine rentals.

My place is a highly rated Norway pine lodge on a sand beach and crystal clear Little Bass Lake! Great fishing from the docks, diving dock or out on this deep lake (72 feet). Kayaks, canoe, paddleboat and paddleboard and water mat provided.

I have a Four season hand-scribed log home on Little Bass lake on a private 5.0 acre lot at end of dead end road. Only 1 distant neighbor. Interior finished with knotty pine ceiling and Australian Cyprus wood floors, and Tamarack paneling. Huge Lake superior stone real fireplace with firewood provided. Full kitchen including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven and center island and all the utensils for cooking. Watch the stars and northern lights from the large deck facing the quiet bay at the South end of Little Bass Lake. There is good fishing right from docks. A-Frame vaulted ceilings with master BR and bath in loft. Main floor has 2 large bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen and great room and has a 4 season porch that is great for family meals any time of year. The walkout basement is unfinished but there are laundry facilities and an elliptical for use by guests.

The campfire pit makes an excellent spot for conversation, singalongs and S'mores. Firewood provided.

A 150-acre 70 foot deep lake, Little Bass has an abundant fishery including northern pike, large mouth bass, good crappie fishing, and even the occasional walleye. You will want to fish for walleye early or late as its such a clear body of water:)

See the beach pics. Sand beach for building sand castles and sand bottom out to 5 feet. There is a diving dock platform to swim or kayak to. I also have a water mat for relaxing during summer.

There is also great cross country skiing, downhill skiing/tubing, hiking and bike trail system close by in the Chippewa National Forest. Just google Itasca county trails or Mount Itasca to find them

Broadband wireless internet and basic cable TV included with a smart tv for streaming. A public boat access on lake makes it convenient to launch your boat. Plenty of dock space for your boat on the docks at my property. I do have a pontoon but will only rent to people I have talked to and can be assured know how to operate it. PPS: Sustainable practices: In addition to recycling bins in the basement which are clearly labeled, you are coming to a Forest and I love trees. You will see that I have planted many white and red pines on the property and that I nurture them. And though I try to insure a view of the lake from the lodge, I have worked hard not to cut down any more trees that necessary in the building process. So I think of my lodge as my 'treehouse'. Trees as you know take carbon out of the atmosphere. And of course looking at their beauty in addition to the water and blue skies always makes me feel calm and at ease. There are views of the lake from lodge but it is also very forest like and private at the lodge. A short walk to the beach gives you the full beach and lake experience.
