A lovely spacious villa with great kitchen/cooking facilities. Outside space was excellent and the pool was a good size.The spiral staircase would be a challenge for elderly visitors or small children, but there are bedrooms and a bathroom on ground floor.We were there during very high temperatures and the air conditioning was a godsend.Ideally you would need a car. Good supermarkets a short drive away and vineyards to visit. Great communication with hosts.

Great villa

Lovely villa. Big pool and had everything we needed including pool floats. Definitely would recommend a car. We used the bus. Very reliable but not frequent.

Fabulous Family holiday

The holiday property was exactly as described and perfect for our family get together. The house layout was good, everything we needed was there, beds comfortable with high quality Danish cotton bedding. Shutters and air con made it possible to sleep really well as the temperatures were quite high. The pool was great as well as outdoor facilities. All in all a great holiday, hope to revisit one day.

A relaxing stay

A very relaxing week's stay in a really lovely property. The house was very well equipped, facilities were great. The house is in a pleasant little village, 5 mins to any amenities one might need (gas station, supermarket, pharmacy etc). Recommend Carte Timbrée in the neighbouring village for nice meal out. Final point to make - the hosts / owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating with our last minute booking. Highly recommend!

Fantastic pool & house

The fantastic pool really made this holiday home, which is saying something as the house was brilliant on its own. The kitchen was one of the best stocked that we've had in over 20 years of self-catering. Even the knives were sharp!Location-wise, the house is an easy walk into the town for boulangerie and lical wine co-operative cave.The wider area provided plenty of interest - quaint villages and towns, historical attractions, beaches, rivers, canals, city shopping.

Fantastic House and Pool!

This region of France is absolutely stunning, we chose this house to use as a base to get to the coast as well other beautiful towns such as Carcassonne and Beziers. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The pool was absolutely perfect and we made full use of it for the 2 weeks we spent here. The owner Lesley couldn’t have been more helpful, and really quick to respond and answer any questions we had, as well as recommend some great places to visit. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.

Lovely house in a peaceful location

The house felt like a warm, family home rather than just a holiday villa and is in a peaceful location within walking distance of the village. It was equipped with everything we needed, together with a good selection of books and games. There is a large pool which was much appreciated in the hot weather, as was the air conditioning. Ian and Lesley were excellent hosts, they were easily contactable and responded to any queries promptly. All in all a very good experience. Lesley S

Beautiful, well equipped villa in great location

We just had a wonderful 2 week stay at the villa. We travelled as a couple with a 2 month old baby and had extra guest for some of it. Very accommodating and helpful owners who supplied a great welcome pack. There are 2 bedrooms on one floor and 2 up on the mezzanine with a bathroom on both floors so works well if friends/2 families. Rooms are all good sizes with modern features. There is no baths which didn’t bother us as 2 good quality showers. Very well equipped, owners have thought of everything! Lovely modern kitchen to cook in. Our favourite bits were definetly outside though, gorgeous summer kitchen where can relax in the shade, wonderful pool, comfy enough sun beds. On the edge of the village, can walk in to one restaurant which was ok quality, pizzas from the pizza wagon were great however. 2 big supermarket 5 min drive away and 2 bakeries easy 5/8 min walk away. Surrounding villages lovely. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you

Leuk vakantiehuis met uitstekend zwembad. Problemen zoals mieren in de keuken en een verstopte afvoer in douche en afwasbak, werden door de eigenaar meteen verholpen.Goede locatie in de nabijheid van winkels.

The most peaceful and relaxing place, in a stunning location! Perfect tranquility! The village is very quiet but the people were lovely. Could get anything you need there. The villa is like a home from home and the pool….the biggest we’ve had in a private villa. It’s situated so can see many of the wonderful sights around. The hosts were most helpful too. Really would come back!

We have just returned from a fabulous trip in this lovely villa . All communication with Ian & Lesley was super easy and very efficient - directions , check etc all straight forward. The villa has everything as listed , with all you need during the stay . The outside space - wow , what can I say it exceeding our expectations .whether you want to lie in the sun , sit in the shade or splash around in the water it has it all . With the weather being very hot during our stay the spacious pool was just excellent and exactly what was needed . Murveil is a great base for exploring this region with so many different places just a short drive away . The only thing I would say is that Murveil is a quiet little village with just 1 bar / restaurant within walking distance ( that we could find ) , La Penaldrop however not anything that spoiled our stay .

Hervorragend ausgestattetes Haus. Es hat an nichts gemangelt. Eine Küche, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. An jedes Küchenutensil war gedacht. Der Pool war traumhaft und dank des Wetters auch in Dauerbenutzung. Poolreinigung fand am sehr frühen Morgen statt, während man noch schlief. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe waren sehr gut, der LIDL vor Ort hat sogar am Sonntag geöffnet. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war sehr freundlich, schnell und immer herzlich. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert!

Agréables vacances

La maison est spacieuse, les chambres sont idéalement situées dans la maison et agréables grâce à la climatisation. Voisinage très calme, idéal pour se détendre. La piscine est géniale, nous avons adoré. Seul bémol: pas de parasols pour faire un peu d'ombre au coin repas et autour de la piscine.Le BBQ est au charbon/bois.La belle plage de Valras est à 30 minutes en voiture.

Merveilleux séjour

La maison, la piscine, la vue, nous avons tout adoré. Le seule petit manque c'était le soleil sur la terasse. Il manqu'ait un parasol donc on a envoyer un message au proprietaire et quelque jours plus tards ils nous ont fourni un parasol. La communication avec les proprietaires était très bien et correct.

Wonderful!

We (5 of us, mum, dad and 3 kids aged 9, 11 and 19) had the best two weeks holiday. Wonderful villa, the photo's don't do the property justice. The villa had everything that we needed, a really well equipped kitchen, perfect open plan layout and large airconditioned bedrooms. The shutters on all windows are brilliant and guarantee the best nights sleep. The huge pool was a massive hit for everyone. The property could easily cope with two families (8 people). The area is stunning, villa nestled in a small village (the local Lidl, 4 min drive, was very convenient as was the pharmacy opposite Lidl) surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, you have the perfect mix of a rural and urban feel. Locals are very friendly. Beach, Valras Plage, only 25 min drive away is touristy but still very nice, we visited multiple times. Kayaking down the Orb is a must as is a bit of wild swimming in the river. Owners are very friendly and quick to respond to all communication. Will definitely return!

Aangenaam verblijf

Aangenaam verblijf gehad in deze woning. Stijle trap wat moeilijker toegankelijk is voor jonge kinderen of oudere die minder mobiel is. Voor de kindjes was er te weinig schaduw aanwezig aan het zwembad. Enkele parasols zouden dit makkelijk oplossen.

De fantastiques vacances

Nous avons passé 15 jours dans cette résidence cet été avec nos 3 enfants. La maison est extrêmement fonctionnelle et bien équipéee. On s'y sent tout de suite très bien. La partie piscine est parfaite avec la pool house toujours à l'ombre et très confortable. Les hotes sont êtremement sympathiques et réactifs et l'équipe qui gère la maison très dynamique et à l'écoute du moindre souci. Un magnifique séjour!

5 Star villa in a tranquil location on the edge of a quite village.

The villa is situated on a large secluded plot approached via a private drive and surrounded by similar properties. Internally, the villa has been updated and provides spacious open plan living accommodation. The furnishings throughout are simple but perfectly adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with all modern appliances and had a large range of utensils. During the second week of our stay the air conditioning was essential! Directly outside the living area the covered terrace is ideal for dining. The pool was very inviting but is not heated and was relatively cool during our first week. However, later on during our stay when daytime temperatures reached 40 degrees C it quickly warmed up and was very pleasant. The large gardens surrounding the property are mainly untended. The centre of the village is only a 10 minute stroll away where there are bakers, a butcher, and two a small general stores. These are complemented by two supermarkets just a short drive away. The scenery around the village is beautiful with mountains and vineyards and a good view of the whole area can be seen from taking one of two designated short walks up to a look-out point above the villa. Around Bezeirs there are a number of small interesting towns that are worth a visit and the nearest beach is at Valras-Plage (30 minute drive) which has beach shops and restaurants. We found the canoeing at Roquebrun was great fun and would definitely do that again even though we are a retired couple. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable two week stay and are glad we chose this particular villa for our holiday.
