Hello I'm Mel Thank you for looking at Windfall Villas, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay with us. While deciding on a place to stay, your comfort and safety is first, It also has to be cost friendly….within your budget. With that in mind lets talk about what you get. Free transportation from the airport to A fully equipped, user friendly, 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa, located on a very safe and comfortable property, 15 minutes from the airport. Transportation (with seating capacity for 6) available on property. Every bedroom is air conditioned and has its own bathroom. Free wifi, cable, and hot water. There is an out door bar and BBQ grill, 2 out door lounge areas, one with ping pong table (table tennis) and exercise machines, also a house keeper to make sure you don’t work while on vacation, (laundry services available on property). Ask about our food plan options. The pictures will help you visualize the beauty of this property and the reviews will allow you to look through the eyes of experience (those who have been there and done that). Magical Windfall Villas

My family and I stayed at the Magical Windfall Villa in Montego Bay for the holidays. Let me tell you a little story...Our journey began with so much stress. On Christmas Eve, we missed our flight out but determined to get there we slept at the airport and rang in Christmas on the floor of baggage claim. We felt awful. Cold, hungry, and exhausted. We said to each other "this better be worth it" We contacted Mel, our host, our ray of light. He said, "no worries I got you." He absolutely did. As soon as we were picked up at the airport, Mel took care of us. He secured us 4 meals cooked by a chef, so we'd have something warm to eat on Christmas Day. I am sure not an easy feat for christmas eve. His generousity and compassion for his guests was over and beyond what we ever experienced in our travels. As soon as we walked in to Windfall, we felt all the stress swept away with the gentle breezes and majestic views. The villa set on top of a lush green hill overlooking the bluest waters of Montego Bay, where we watched the clouds roll in reflecting off the sea. For 9 amazing days we felt the healing energy of Jamaica soak I to every cell of our bodies. The sunrises were unmatched in beauty. The ocean view was from a movie scene. The pool area was another whole view of Montego Bay that was breathtaking day or night. We simply couldn't believe we were literally staying in paradise. But, what is paradise without the people. Magnificent Mel

We couldn't have been more pleased with our vacation location. Our host Mel made this vacation great. He was attentive and took care of all of our wants and needs. The villa was spacious and far exceeded our expectations. Our view was fabulous. We were surrounded by beautiful foliage and Jamaica's cultural animals. We came as tourists and left as friends. The vibe of Jamaica will be in our hearts forever. We will be back very soon!

Perfect In Every Way

The house was beautiful and very comfortable! There was air conditioning when the heat and humidity got overwhelming. We stayed in the pool almost all day every day. The views from the property were absolutely magnificent! We loved the outdoor shower! We highly recommend this villa for your stay in Montego Bay, Jamaica! The other superb factor of this excellent experience was that of the host, Mel! He was very responsive when we reached out to him and checked on us often while still respecting our privacy. He was very accommodating and helpful the entire stay, with a friendly personality and witty sense of humor too! He was very knowledgeable and was able to meet all of our needs. Highly recommend - 10 out of 10! Five Stars in every category!

Just what we needed

We were able to parlay a few extra days of vacation in Jamaica so we decided to stay in this villa and it was the best part of our trip. We stayed 4 days at the property and 4 days at a resort. We wished we would have stayed all 8 days at the property. The property was pristine, safe, and the view was AMAZING. The host Mel, took care of our every need. We ate delicious authentic Jamaican food that Mel personally delivered to us everyday. We were also able to eat the fruit that grew on the property. The Mangos, Coconuts, Star Fruit and Bananas were a true treat. Mel was an amazing host and we will definitely be back.

Great stay

The property was accurately described and looked like the pictures. Mel was an excellent host, very accommodating and patient. We used Mel’s transportation service almost every day, he provided suggestions as we asked and was able to get us a discount rate for a day pass at one of the resorts. Definitely check with him before you book excursions/activities as he can likely get cheaper. We enjoyed our time and would definitely book Mel’s place again.

Well taken care of!

We’ve never felt so safe or well taken care of than the month we spent with Mel and his staff. We opted not to rent a car and have Mel and/or Marsha take us to various beaches, excursions, restaurants, clubs and, really, anything we wanted to do. On top of that, if there was anything out of the ordinary we wanted, Mel always “knew a guy.” The house was very comfortable and the view is outstanding, any time of day. We cooked a lot and barbecued our own Jerk Chicken over a fire with wood from the property. My son proposed to his girlfriend on this trip and another couple joined us for a week as well. They all had the time of their lives. A few friends opted NOT to come because of US State Department warning but there was never a second we didn’t feel safe. Once they saw our Facebook posts from our trip, they were sorry they didn’t come. This is the way to experience Jamaica…Enjoy!

Wonderful Experience

This was are 3rd time to Jamaica, we normally stay at a resort. This time we did 7 days at a resort and then did 4 days at Windfall Villa. Mel was superb to deal with from the beginning of booking all the way thru checking in and throughout our stay. Mel even helped us at the local Grocery Store. Anytime we needed anything or a ride he was always ready and very informative on what to do and not to do. We really enjoyed this type of experience and plan on staying with Mel again when we come back. Awesome experience Gorgeous View of Montego Bay and quite. Lovely property!!! If you’re on the fence quit looking and book it. Any questions don’t hesitate to contact Mel, he’s a great guy!!! Thanks Mel can’t wait to come see you again.

Family stay for one night

This private villa is on hill top full of beautiful foliage overlooking the ocean with a view of the city lights of Montego Bay. Million dollar view!! Mel was an absolute life saver. He made us feel safe and completely took care of me and my kids. I can't express how grateful we are to him or how beautiful the property is. Hopefully we'll be able visit him and the property again.

The view from the property is really beautiful. I went for my mom's 60th birthday with my family and we had a great time. I planned a very busy week and I'm really happy that we got to visit multiple parts of the island. Local fruits from the property was definitely an added bonus!

A Quiet Paradise

The house sits on a hill overlooking the ocean and mountains in the distance. The sunrises were beautiful even though it rained off and on. The view is spectacular no matter what time of day it is. The service is top-notch. By the end of our trip, Mel became a friend. From the moment he gave his advice on what to do at the airport to the last day when he sent us to the airport for our flights back, Mel made the difference. He was always available - grocery runs, lunch and dinner pick-ups, day trip to the waterfalls and the endless touristy questions he patiently answered. What truly won my heart - he willingly took my teens up and down the waterfalls TWICE while I gave up after the first round and found a bench. If they wanted to zipline that day, he'd have gone ziplining along with them too! He was Jamaica and so Jamaica was fun to us. We came to rest and maybe, do a small amount of sightseeing though it wasn't our goal. We'd had a hard few weeks earlier - health scares, hospitals and doctors just before losing our beloved family dog as well. This visit was for healing more than anything and it was worth it. Thank you Mel for your home and your hospitality. It meant the world to us and we'll always remember Jamaica fondly. I hope all your dreams and plans for your business come to fruition - I don't think there's anyone more hard-working than you who deserves it.

50th birthday celebration

When we found this Villa on Vrbo we couldn't believe how many great reviews were posted. We decided to take a chance because we wanted privacy and relaxation. It was the best decision we could have made. Mel was such a great host there really is not a word for the extraordinary hospitality we received. There was 4 of us and 2 of us arrived on Saturday and the other 2 on Sunday and he made sure we were picked up from airport. He stopped us by the local grocery store on the way to the Villa to pick up items we needed. He even went in the store with us to help us find items! Mel also provides daily transportation to local spots for a reasonable price. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RENT A CAR AND DRIVE IN JAMAICA! They drive on the wrong side of the street and the driving is very wreckless. Mel stated he's had several guest that had rentals but they were all returned the same day. Let the locals do the hard work and you just buckle up and close your eyes lol. Mel and Marsha showed up on my birthday with a cake and bottle of wine! I was celebrating my 50th! This was so special. Also please check with Mel before booking any excursions. He was a great resource on places to go and avoid. Literally anytime we came up on an issue where we needed something he ALWAYS came to the rescue. His is definitely a SUPERHOST/ CONCIERGE with top of the line service. The private pool was my jam! It was very relaxing, accommodating and clean. It was very comfortable, serene and romantic.

Perfectly Relaxing

Family of four that spent a week at Windfall Villas. This was a great experience for us, and provided the relaxation we were seeking. The house is spacious, clean and has all the basics covered. The views are amazing, and we spent most of our time lounging in the shade of the veranda or by the well maintained pool. The yard and surrounding vegetation are well-kept...coconuts, mangoes, bananas on the property itself. Proximity to Montego Bay and the airport is excellent, and it's just minutes from any amenity needed (grocery stores, banks, restaurants, etc.). Mel was an excellent host and maintained daily contact, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing suggestions on places to go. He became a friend. The villa and property were the perfect respite after a day at the beach (Montego Bay minutes away; Negril a one-hour drive). My only regret is taking only one full day to relax just at the villa and pool (not venturing out at all) instead of two or more. We will definitely return!

First, the pick up at the airport was amazing. We were confused due to never being there before, however, Mel was there on time and was more than helpful. Secondly, he drove out of his way so we could have Jerk. Once at the home, it was beautiful . Sitting in the hills, with th a breath taking view. The stay was warm and welcoming. Mel, insured we were happy Took us to the airport and saw us off. I felt we were in great hands. Got what I came for. Thank you Windfalls for having Me back.

My husband and I rented this beautiful home. We brought my 70 year old parents with. The house was easy to get to, had a priceless view, clean pool, easy access for my parents that don’t get around real easy these days. The home was close enough to all the fun and entertainment when u want it, but far enough away to escape it when u just want peace and relaxation! Mel was great, very attentive and accommodating (as it was last minute decision that my parents came along so we had two extra people with) Anna was so sweet and kind. We always felt like if we needed anything we could easily contact either of them for anything. I highly recommend this place for people that want to step away from the crowds at the end of every day, to a beautiful home for rest and relaxation! Wish we could have stayed longer. The little road up to the house was a little bumpy, as are all the roads in jamacia! You get use to all the road conditions fast if you rent vehicle and drive. I think if we did trip again we wouldn’t have rented vehicle and would have took advantage of the option to have Mel pick us up at airport. Driving on opposite side of car and opposite side of road, and the way everyone drove there was not so easy to get use to… but we managed😬 highly recommend this place!!

One of the best views in Jamaica with Staff that prioritise you having the best experience!

I don't normally write reviews but my experience at here was so refreshingly different to other villas that I felt the need to inform potential guests of why this was so special! Property/Location: first and foremost the villa is positioned close enough to Montego Bay for you to get the full tourist experience but tucked away enough to get peace and tranquility where the neighboring plots are all at least an acre in size. The ocean views are most definitely the best I've experienced in the whole of Jamaica! Which you can take in from the outdoor seating/bar area where we had most of our breakfasts and dinners. You can literally see planes fly in and out on Montego Bay airport without being disturbed by the sound of them! Good sized pool, fruit trees, (Mel chopped down some fresh coconuts whilst we were there to drink!) play space for the kids and good size bedrooms with Aircon in each of them. Maid and cook service: Anna was the maid and cook, but honestly felt like part of the family as she was courteous, friendly and had a great energy always making us feel comfortable in asking for anything! Anna catered to the varying and individual needs of each family member and quite quickly got to learn and accommodate our dietary requirements and preferences. We chose to have the in-house cook service for the majority of the stay! Though we had initially planned to eat out and experience Jamaican restaurants more than we did, we couldn't resist the Windfall Villa views from the outdoor covered eating area and the personalised cook service that we received! We chose what we wanted the day before, and shopping was done by Anna and Mel and meals served at times of our choice! Towels were refreshed regularly, pool cleaned and rooms attended to. We were treated like Kings and Queens! Owner and service: Mel was at hand from airport transport, to giving us unbiased advice on where to go and what to do. It was comforting to be able to speak with him in person for requests, or queries we had throughout our stay. Mels priority was that we had a great experience. We held an event at the villa where Mel brang over a supply of ice cubes as we forgot to get them! The event was a success as our 30+ guests enjoyed the surroundings and good music with us. Summary: Great value, fantastic views! Personable and welcoming staff. Get the "looked after" feel of a hotel but also the "home away from home" feel with the private gated villa. Great experience, see you soon!

Rest, Relax and Recharge!

Let me start off by saying that my family & I had a wonder time here at Windfall Villas-Jamaica. This was quaint, private home with a gorgeous ocean view; that offered many amenities and was able to suit the needs of all five people in our party on this beautiful island for the first time. The host (Mel) provided much attention to our needs in the home from picking us up from the Montego Bay Airport and providing courtesy free transportation to the private villa and back to the airport at the end of the vacation. The host was the best and so very attentive to our needs as well as making us feel safe and secure within the property. The property host was also knowledgeable regarding the island, was able to provide transportation and help us navigate the beautiful area. There is also a cooking and housekeeping services at the property by Anna who is so amazing. At this property we had the experience of having meals prepared which took out much guess work of feeding the family as well as giving us the opportunity to taste the local cuisine. Windfall Villas and the host allowed us the chance to enjoy time on the beach & relax poolside at the Villa in its tranquility. From the spacious floor plan to the beautiful secluded views this property offered it all. In my Master Suite I woke up every morning to the beautiful ocean view without all the noise of the daily hustle and bustle that life brings. If you are a coffee drinker, Mel recommended one of the best coffee that I have tasted in while, it was wonderful. In closing, if you are wanting to get away, recharge, be stress free and have a private spacious place to stay look no further than Windfall Villas. Let’s just say the atmosphere was so amazing that we didn’t even have to make use of the TV/Entertainment that is included but we made use of the free Wi-Fi, a/c cooled rooms and spectacular private ocean views. I give this experience a 5/5 and will be staying again soon!

This is the villa you want to book

Just got back from a week-long stay at Windfall Villa and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The villa was large, clean, and comfortable. The area in which it is located was safe and surrounded by nature. Each room has good A/C, a comfortable bed, and an ensuite with hot showers. Plus, the view of the ocean from my window was spectacular. Kitchen was clean and complete and we used it often to prepare meals, plus there is a cool-looking grill outside and lots of options for outdoor dining. The villa has cable and wi-fi should you get stuck with a rainy day. You can trust the photos and descriptions in the listing. Our FAVOURITE thing about the property, however, was the outdoors. The pool was the perfect temperature and was large enough to swim lengths in the morning, but then also was comfortable for daytime lounging and late night dips. Plus, when you get out of the pool to dry off in the sun, you're faced with a massive view of greenery all the way down to the ocean, with a bonus view of Montego Bay, which was particularly spectacular when lit up at night. We spent a lot of time in the pool and loved every second of it. That all said, the thing that makes Windfall Villa so special, and the reason you want to stay there, is Mel. Mel was the perfect host, and completely made our trip. Mel knows what's up, knows where to go, will listen to what you're looking for and then get you the best version of that. He was prompt when we arranged rides, was attentive to our needs day-to-day, but also gave us space on the days we were looking to relax. He joined us for our day trip to Negril and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Mel's cool and made us feel totally at home from the minute we arrived until the moment he dropped us off at the airport to fly home. Kifa also came by every day with a smile and a warm greeting, and made sure we had what we needed and tidied up the place. They're a great team and excellent hosts. You'll love Mel, you'll love the villa, you'll love the location, you'll love the views.

Beautiful!!

This Villa was just as described, the property is beautiful and very clean in pictures and better in person! We felt right at home. Mel was a great host made us feel safe and was very accommodating. He made sure we had a great time in Jamaica. He drove us wherever we wanted to go and that was definitely a plus, especially if you don't want to drive in that crazy Jamaican traffic! Overall we had a great experience! When we come to Jamaica again we will definitely book this beautiful villa again! Thanks again Mel, you were wonderful!

Much Needed Rest and Relaxation

The property was beautiful!! It was exactly as described. Mel was an excellent host and guide. He met us at the airport and immediately took us to the grocery store to ensure we had snacks and drinks. He educated us on pricing so we didn’t overspend and clarified any questions we had. Realizing the time of day he inquired if we were hungry and then took us to get something to eat all prior to taking us to his lovely villa. He was always just a text away whenever we needed anything. All the comforts of home were available to include WiFi, cable, and a fire stick. Every morning we woke up to the beautiful view of the sea. The tranquility was just what we needed. We utilized Mel’s transportation service and we are glad we did. We had our own personal guide which helped us to navigate better and helped us make informed decisions. We experienced several of the most known attractions and several hidden treasures. I can’t tell you how invaluable Mel was as our guide. Another perk of Mel’s villa was Anna his housekeeper and cook. We hired her to prepared food for us a few days of the vacation and wished we had started that service earlier!!! She is a great cook. The food was fantastic and the presentation was just as good. She can even braid hair. One of my friends hired her to do that. We had a phenomenal vacation!!! I highly recommend Mel’s tropical paradise. You won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you Mel!!!!

Melvin Chambers is the child of Jamaican father and Cuban mother. Raised in Jamaica, he left as a young adult to make a better life for himself and his family. He gained experience in the automotive industry in Europe and later Canada, then settled in America for 15 years as a real estate professional. It was by acquiring properties, and managing business operations in New York, USA that Melvin sharpened his expertise in the areas of commerce enhancement, client relations, and real estate development and management.
Although immensely successful in New York, Melvin longed for the natural, free-flowing climate of home. After traveling back and forth for many years, Melvin sold many of his properties in New York to invest in properties in Jamaica; and he moved back to Jamaica for good in 1988, residing on the estate he purchased in 1986, Windfall Villas. In 2004, he sent for his son Mel to learn the real estate business and help manage the beautiful estate of Windfall Villas.

Mel Chambers is the property manager and contract advisor of Windfall Cottages and a host of other properties in Jamaica.
