We loved the traditional nature of the property in a small friendly village. Furnishings were in keeping with the property and the garden and pool were exactly what we had hoped for. Very relaxing stay and a great location from which to explore the area. A real bonus having numerous bathrooms/toilets so no queueing needed! The host was really helpful, responding very quickly to any messages but everything went smoothly so we didn’t need much help. Béziers, Carcassonne and Narbonne all very worth visiting and accessible from the property.

A beautiful house, exactly as described. It is a perfect place to either unwind and relax or get out and explore the region. Host was attentive and informative. Highly recommended.

A place to return to

We were a group of families returning to this fantastic house in the centre of the beautiful small village Raissac. Great for families with spacious bedrooms and large outdoor patio. The pool area makes the vacation perfect! We will be back!

Hosts Mike and his wife Norma were great, we had a terrible storm at the end of our time there and Mike couldn’t have been more helpful. Property was spotless when we arrived. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable sitting room and beds. Information given when we arrived was very thorough and the paperwork very helpful.The outside area is extremely pretty and gives the house much character. The pool is a good size and not overlooked. It can be a bit chilly as it’s not heated, but it’s cleaned regularly and there are plenty of sun loungers and comfortable chairs around the area too. We were a family of 4 and 1 small dog, and felt we were rattling around at times, it’s more than suitable for twice as many people…and some!The village is a lovely place to visit, we really enjoyed our time there this year. Would highly recommend this property.

Perfect stay in a charming villa – highly recommended!We stayed at this wonderful villa for two weeks, and it was simply perfect from start to finish.The garden is completely enclosed and private, featuring a securely fenced pool area which was ideal for peace of mind. The swimming pool itself was fantastic and thoroughly cleaned throughout our stay.Inside, the house was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated, and equipped with all necessary amenities. Halfway through our two-week stay, we were provided with fresh bed linens, which was a lovely touch. Parking was super easy right by the house.Our host was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and shared a lot of useful information about the local area.The house is situated in a charming small village with a cozy local kiosk/restaurant, with very easy access to neighboring towns and grocery shopping. The surrounding area offers plenty of exciting towns and activities for the whole family.We couldn't have asked for a better holiday experience and would love to return!

We had a wonderful 4 weeks in Raissac D’Aude.Pet friendly and secure . Spotless linen and towels . Any query’s we had were quickly rectified by a phone call or text to Mike .We thoroughly enjoyed the very spacious accommodation and the walks and cycle rides nearby . The garden area and swimming pool was peaceful and relaxing . We definitely would recommend this house and area and hope to go back . Fiona and Graham

Fantastic family holiday

I returned 2 weeks ago from a 2 week stay at Raissac-d'Aude. We were a party of 10 (5 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 younger kids). We had a fantastic family holiday and I can't thank Mike and Norma enough for being excellent hosts and making us feel very welcome. The house itself is lovely, spacious, clean & comfortable with all mod cons. The barbeque and outside dining area were great and the pool was perfect and especially popular with the kids. We went on a few days trips in the local region, including to Narbonne and Gruissan plage (we preferred Gruissan) and to Ribaute where we had a picnic and swam in the river. We also cycled locally with the kids through the surrounding vineyards and ate figs off the trees which were fantastic. We hung out by the pool quite a lot too and just had a very nice relaxed holiday. I would recommend without hesitation

Heaven for two weeks

Everything was immaculate on arrival and the property was fabulous, an absolute dream. We all had the best holiday ever. Parking was never an issue, sheets and towels were changed weekly and Michael and Norma were so informative and helpful. Such a wonderful couple. All age groups were impressed and happy. We were a group 7 of varying ages between 16 to 78 and all had plenty of privacy and space. The kitchen was extremely well equipped; coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer, gas hob, large oven and many clean tea towels. Perfection. The pool area was fabulous with several loungers and parasols for shade. Michael kept the pool area and pool immaculate. There was even a fantastic barbecue which we used for many evening meals. What more can I say, heaven on earth!

Todo perfecto. La casa es genial. Michael y Norma tuvieron el gran detalle de poner un arbol de navidad que le dió mas encanto a la casa. Además ante la falta de secador de pelo, fueron a comprar uno, ya que nosotros nos lo habiamos olvidado.

Un lugar tranquilo y entrañable.

Maravillosa estancia muy diáfana en su distribución. Limpia y cómoda en todos los aspectos. El lugar es perfecto para desconectar y cargar energías. Dar paseos e ir en bicicleta. El hecho de que tenga bicicletas disponibles para los inquilinos es maravilloso. El propietario es muy amable y atento. Nos gustaría repetir algún día.

Grande maison

Environ sympa promenades à pieds et à vélo dans les environs ,ai aimé l’épicerie et le marché local sur la place de l eglise. Très jolie cours Très grande maison mais humide et froide à cette époque de l année

Nous sommes sincèrement désolés qu'il ait fait un froid aussi inhabituel pour un printemps dans la plupart des régions méditerranéennes. Nous avons été surpris par ces conditions inhabituelles et n'avons pas eu la prévoyance de vous suggérer d'allumer le chauffage central avant votre arrivée, comme nous le faisons habituellement pour les locations hivernales. Malheureusement, comme il s'agit d'une grande maison en pierre, il faut un peu de temps pour qu'elle se réchauffe, mais nous vous assurons qu'elle est généralement chaude et confortable, à tel point que nos invités de Noël ont demandé une baisse de température, ce que nous avons bien sûr fait. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié la région et espérons vous revoir.

Merci pour votre avis. Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour dans la propriété. Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez eu des problèmes avec le wifi. C'est dommage que vous ne nous ayez pas signalé les problèmes au moment où ils se sont produits, car nous aurions peut-être pu remédier à d'éventuelles difficultés. Le service Internet est une connexion par fibre optique à haut débit. Malgré les murs épais et traditionnels, le service est normalement bon sur tout le rez-de-chaussée, la majeure partie du premier étage et les environs extérieurs. Nous allons recâbler et ajouter d'autres points wifi internes au cours de l'hiver afin que d'ici l'été prochain, il devrait y avoir une bonne connexion dans toute la maison et sur les deux étages et dans tout le jardin.

Het huis was niet proper, geen tuin, geen airco, tuintafel ingesloten tussen muren waardoor iedereen ingesloten zit. Geen kussens in tuinstoelen. Tuinstoelen verouderd waardoor ze scheurden. Droogrek valt uiteen. wifi valt steeds weg. Barbecue moeilijk aan te steken. Ver weg van alles. Eigenaar rekent je op het einde nog zaken aan waar je niks kan aan doen: vb water van zwembad dat veel gezakt is. wordt gewoon van je rekening gehaald achteraf. lees de voorwaarden.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Alles war blitzsauber, die Unterkunft ist groß, stilvoll eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattet, alles in allem noch schöner, als die Fotos nahelegen. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch der blühende Garten mit verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten und natürlich der Pool mit sehr gemütlichen Liegestühlen. Die ausgesprochen freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieter wohnen im Nachbarhaus und sind jederzeit erreichbar, nichtsdestoweniger hat man in dem Ferienhaus und im nahezu uneinsehbaren Garten komplette Privatsphäre. Vielen Dank, Norma und Mike, für eure Herzlichkeit und dass Ihr uns ermöglicht habt, in eurem tollen Haus einen wunderbaren Urlaub zu verbringen.

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances dans la propriété de Norma et Mike, qui sont des hôtes charmants, prévenants, et très discrets. La maison est très bien équipée et très spacieuse. La terrasse et la piscine sont très appréciables. Le village est calme, au milieu des vignes, dans une magnifique région à découvrir ! C’est l’endroit idéal pour des vacances ressourçantes ! Nous reviendrons !
