Maple Lane lodge is a versatile, comfortable place to stay when visiting Hubbard Lake or White Pine National Golf Course. Upstairs you'll find two large bedrooms, one with 2 queens and one with one queen and one king and both with aprivate bath. A complete kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker,dishes and everything you need to prepare your own meals awaits you. The master bedroom is located on the first floor with a private bathroom and Jacuzzi bath. The lodge features a comfortable living and dining area with large windows over looking the 18th fairway of White Pine National. Everything you can think of including cable T.V. and Wi~ Fi. All this and less than a mile to beautiful Hubbard Lake. Plus both kitchen and family room have been renovated

Family weekend near Alpena

Cute, quiet, and clean! A bathroom for every bedroom. Sits on a golf course. You can sit on the back porch and watch the golfer. The interior is wildlife themed. Not far from Alpena! It was perfect for our family weekend

North Woods Retreat

The house is beautifully furnished. It was clean and fully stocked with everything that you would need. It was one of the best places that we have ever rented. Bill, the host, was great. We could not have asked for a better house or host.

Great place to stay for family vacation

While we were up here for a family member's memorial, it is a place we would like to come back to for a vacation. There was plenty of space and home comforts for us. Owner was quick to respond with any issues. Loved it!

Great Weekend!

The house was beautiful! I loved how many bathrooms and how much room there was. There was so much to do at the house. We even visited the Anchor Market while we were there. Loved the area!

Great value

This is a very good value home to stay in. Perfectly situated between Alpena and Oscoda and all of the activities around there. If you are a golfer, the golf course that this house sits on is absolutely beautiful. I didn’t get a chance to play it, but I did walk most of the holes in the morning with my dog. The house is comfortable, and very well laid out. A fully stocked kitchen with good utensils and cookware is not something you are used to finding and rentals. This place had it all.

Beautiful Home

Beautiful house with great view and secluded location. Great location to Hubbard lake. When vacationing in that area we will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cabin-like home

This property is comfortable and gorgeous inside and out. I loved the woodsy, lodge style decor and the furnishings were comfortable. The lovely backyard views that can be enjoyed from the living area and master bedroom look like a golf course. Everything in the house is good quality. I especially loved having the jacuzzi tub and washer and dryer. However, like every other place I have ever stayed, needed a little extra cleaning. The washer needed a little freshening up as it smelled a bit like wet dogs and the jets in the jacuzzi needed a good cleaning (this is true for every place). Otherwise I can't say enough good about the place. Instructions were easy to follow and I felt safe staying there alone. I definitely recommend.

Good time

We were 7 golfers that rented the house that was on the White Pines National Golf Course which was the course we were playing. The accommodations perfect. The house was very clean and very comfortable.There was a problem with the heat when we first arrived, but the owner took charged and resolved the issue in a very timely manner. All of us who stayed here were very pleased with the facility as well as the owners exceptional resolution to fixing the heat issue. All of those staying at this location would highly recommend to anyone else.

A family wedding

We were in town for our nephew's wedding. The house was fantastic for a family with three grown boys. There was plenty space to be together and to be apart. We appreciated the privacy and quiet location. The long golf cart trail next to the house was perfect for our dogs. We would certainly return to this house

Very spacious and clean!

We booked just a couple days before for a quick family getaway and it was perfect! All the rooms are very spacious and have either own bathroom. The view of the golf course was beautiful. We would definitely book again in the future! We wish we had more time there!

Private oasis in the woods

This property was a very pleasant surprise. We loved our stay! First, dealing with Bill was terrific. He was responsive and very accommodating for any questions we had - a real pleasure. The house is very large and accommodated all of our needs. It is located in a woodsy area and very private. It is obviously a loved home by the owners. The decor is rustic and you will quickly see that the owners love hunting as there are stuffed deer and bird heads etc throughout the main floor which was interesting. I could've done without that as it initially gave me the hebbie jebies but I became used to it quickly. Beds were very comfortable and all bedrooms had a private bathroom which is great for large groups. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need (including spices). The home backs onto the 18th fairway of a beautiful golf course. Having coffee on the porch every morning, enjoying the peaceful scenery and overall outdoorsy feel was just wonderful. We enjoyed this house so much we stayed two extra nights and decided to play a round at the golf course and had dinner at the restaurant/pub onsite that was very tasty and enjoyable. There is a nice trail outside the house for walking etc. It was just a really relaxing and chill area. There are many things to do locally within a short drive - Alpena is not far and Connie's Cafe is a must go to for breakfast. Churchill Point has a terrific restaurant and the food is delicious. This is a place that you will love to stay at and won't regret. Thank you Gough family for sharing your beautiful oasis.

Golf Weekend

Had a great stay! The home was very comfortable. Having three couples, all with their own suite was great. For us, the location was perfect on the 18th hole. Will definitely look forward to booking again. Thank you for sharing your home!

Very nice

We visit this area every August and this is has been the best home that we have rented We really appreciated a bathroom in every bedroom. Having a back porch that faced the golf course was very entertaining and the corn hole game was a bonus. We will try to get this one again next August!
