1st time

This was our first time in Lake Tahoe - this location was close enough to everything but also far enough away. The only thing I can say is the listing stated there was a TV in the master (we usually fall asleep with the TV on) but there wasn’t one. Other than that we had beautiful views and the place had everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, convenient location

We loved our stay in Carnelian Bay. Short walk to the lake, shops, and restaurants. The house was clean and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms look like they are newly remodeled and we’re also very clean. The kitchen is stocked but as advertised, you will have to bring everything, including toilet paper and paper towels. The living area is bright with beautiful views, but there was not enough seating for my family. The couch is very small, but there is a large dining room table where everyone sat most of the time.

Great stay at Tahoe

It’s a very cute house, and property was clean. The only thing is that the third bedroom is right above the kitchen with no doors (kind of a loft bedroom). We didn’t have any issues with it, just fyi when you book this place

Nice Location and View

Excellent property management - We had heating issues when we arrived. I had to call for help on a holiday after 5pm and someone came out right away and took care of the issue. I wish place could have been a little cleaner (we found an orange peel under the couch and some other minor things). Also, master bathroom sliding door had a loud screeching sound when opening back up. We did have a great stay though.

Clean, comfortable, as described

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay! 6 adults were able to cook, eat, hang out, and sleep comfortably here. The dining table is spacious, the living room area is smaller (couch can only seat 4 side-by-side), and there’s a one-person rocking chair. The place was clean, though our friend who is sensitive to dogs and cats felt her allergies kicking in after sitting on the couch. At nighttime we had some trouble maintaining a temperature that was comfortable across the downstairs, living area, and loft, but we managed ok. We were allotted 2 parking spots, and had to park an additional car in the complex’s overflow lot (2-3 minutes away from our unit). Even with the caveats, would stay here again!

Tahoe Getaway!

A great location for my family (wife, two kids ages 3 and 5) and mom. We came up from LA to enjoy the snow after a large storm. Check-in couldn't have been easier (we arrived around midnight due to road conditions) and the walks and access drive was completely plowed. Very convenient location to where we were skiing (Alpine Meadows) and services (Safeway is 5 minutes away). Looking forward to staying here again!

A great stay in Carnelian Bay

We were close to everything. It was great to walk through the forest to go down for breakfast, and then down to the paddle boarding place. It was a super cute condo that fit our needs perfectly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was very comfortable. Bathroom updates were done very nicely. Big enough for larger family. The lake view is amazing! After 20 years of staying in various CW condos, this was one of the nicest. The only things I would add is a squeegee for the beautiful glass shower doors, some cutting boards and cookie sheets for the kitchen.

Beautiful views of the lake

The condo was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed that the condo was on the top of hill in a small cluster of buildings. The pool for the development was much nicer than we anticipated based on the photos.

Nice, warm and clean stay

The townhouse is nice set up. The host did good with setting up everything for us like the towels, dishes to use, clean bedding, and information such as WiFi, restaurants in the area, and things to do in the area. To top it off the view of the mountains and lake from the patio is amazing. I would recommend staying here and would definitely return for another stay in the future.

Perfect for a Ski Weekend!

I can say that this property was accurately describe. My family decided to head up to Tahoe for a weekend of skiing and the place was perfect for the five of us. Nicely re-done bathrooms and comfortable beds. It was clean and a perfect space for us. The only downsides I would give is the couch wasn't big enough for all of us to sit on which was okay because there was a rocking chair, and the hot water could only hold up for a two-three showers. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While Trent was amazing, the house did not live up to any expectations. The pictures made the place look so much bigger then it was and the lack of normal goods was a let down. Covid is here but the owner should not use that as an excuse to not provide paper towels, napkins, first aid kit, firewood ect. There was half eaten food in the cabinets and to be quite honest, I think that’s more of an issue relating to covid right? I am not trying to be rude or complain whatsoever, but I have rented many times, but this was the most unfavorable time ever. I appreciate Trent once again, but I would definitely not come back to visit.

Perfect location for all activites

Location was key. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with quick access by car to everything we wanted to do—hiking, kayaking, wine events, food and shopping. It's located at the top of a hill with a view of the lake from the upstairs. It wasn't really walk-able to much since it would be a haul walking back up the hill (there's a restaurant, 7-11 and mini-golf very close, we didn't go there though), but we were plenty active and it didn't bother us needing to drive everywhere. There are lots of shops and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The condo was very clean and we were set up with the basics. We cooked a few times in the kitchen, which had everything we needed, but didn't make use of the BBQ. The building is a little older and creeks a bit. The washing machine is old and very loud, so don't start a load too late or early as to not disturb the neighbors. Both bathrooms are upgraded, the upstairs has a hair dryer. I wish the master bedroom had thicker curtains to keep more light out in the morning, but we are early risers so it wasn't much of a problem. Most of the amenities are at the bottom of the hill, we looked at them but never used them. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful condo located next to national forest and the Tahoe Rim Trail. Nice views of Lake Tahoe. Very quiet area even during the 4th of July holiday. The condo is in good condition and the kitchen is well equipped. The club house is available for family gatherings with swimming pool, hot tub, bocce ball, tennis and ping pong for some activities.

Wonderful Home / Difficult Management

Hi, we loved the property itself. It is comfortable, nice, and cozy! The photos do it justice! However, I do not recommend this property if you want an easy trip with a welcoming management company. They will charge you additional VRBO fees not reflected on this online listing afterwards, and make you go through additional and separate paperwork (lots of it). Also, in our interactions over the phone kindly asking if there might be a shovel in any of the closets on the property (given that it dumped snow overnight in Tahoe that weekend) -- we felt rudely treated being brushed off for not bringing our own shovel (and that this was included in the numerous pages and pages of documentation) they sent. It is understandable that such clauses might be included in the contract, however the overall interaction with the management company felt difficult and very unwelcoming. A shame, because if you're willing to bite your tongue and deal, the property is actually quite lovely!.
