Very peaceful setting. My husband slept the best he had in years. Furnishings were comfortable and all you needed. We stayed a week. Really loved how close it was to the Gillies cafe, Lake Eacham, Yungabarra, Malanda etc. We would definitely stay here again

Cute little country cabin. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor bath and brekky provisions. Highly recommended

The perfect place to unwind, an oasis in the rainforest. We just relaxed. Helen was very helpful, generous, warm and friendly.The kitchen was fine for making evening meals and we loved Helen’s fresh citrus at breakfast. Close to Yungaburra and Atherton Wompoo Cottage is the perfect get away from it all. With sunbirds added.

This property is a tranquil cottage in lovely surroundings/ It is not modern and has an atmosphere of calm and comfort. The host is kind, helpful and considerate. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and cannot recommend the cottage more highly if you are looking for peach and relaxation. It is well located with easy access to many of the attractions and historical areas of the Tablelands.

Peaceful nights sleep with everything you'll need for a comfortable trip away. Helen is incredibly nice, generous and an incredible green thumb. The fruits she grows on her property are easily the best we have had in a long while.

You will need a car. The cottage is about 13 min from Yungaburra. The setting is lovely and so is the countryside. The cottage has a spacious kitchen/ living room and covered patio. It’s a good location from which to explore the Tablelands and a lovely place to chill out.

Outstanding!

Beautiful property with a kind and welcoming host who provided organic food gratis. This is a superb location to visit areas in the Atherton tableland. The home was all we needed and joyful due to the birdsong, and the host.

Helen has made a delightful, homely and comfortable wee cottage in the most peaceful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer than just 3 nights. The fresh eggs, sourdough and homemade jams were a real treat. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Secluded Paradise

Affordable. Exceptional grounds. Well located. Peaceful cozy cottage with pot belly fire and outside bath. Abundance of birds and butterflies. No traffic noise. Excellent host . Highly recommend.

Value for money

Very private. Very comfortable. Big space inside and reat outdoors covered entertainment area. Superb outdoor bath. Fully self contained with ful fridge and stove. Super comfortable beds. Highly recommended. Supehost Helen.
