Hi Joan, thanks for staying! Please accept my apologies. We provide a starter pack and there should have been 2 rolls of toilet paper in each toilet and also a scourer to scrub pots with. I do only provide 2 tea towels which I guess you can wash and reuse if you need to. A few dishwasher tabs to get you started as well. Thanks for leaving the house nice and tidy!

Hi Penny, After hosting guests for more than 7 years without a bad review, you must understand that your review has left me devastated. However, I will take on board your concerns and address each of them. You’re right about the 4th bedroom being open air. It is a loft bedroom and although private with a door that closes, it does allow a small amount of noise and light in. I hadn’t ever thought about mentioning this as it had never occurred to me, but I’ll be sure to mention that in my listing going forward. Thank you. Again, I’ve never had a complaint from guests, family or friends about mattresses being either too hard or too soft. But each and every person is different so I will take your feedback into account and purchase mattress toppers for them. At the time of your stay each room should have had a pedestal fan, which we have found to be quite enough, even in a hot and steamy night, as there is usually an ocean breeze coming from the east. However we a currently in the process of installing air conditioning unit in 3 of the rooms which should be complete mid-December 2020. As you can imagine, as the house is so open and airy, it is very hard to close off and install air conditioning throughout. My prices are quite reasonable I believe. Keeping in mind that you had 3 couples stay, with room for another couple, or children. If you were to book apartments/motel rooms to fit your whole group, it would have cost substantially more and you wouldn’t have had as much room, or as many facilities provided (for example waterfront, private jetty, lock-up garage, backyard with outdoor area, kayaks etc). I’m not quite sure what you meant by “a 70s dream home”? Our home is a former prize home built in the 1990s. We put a new kitchen in in 2018 and most of the house has been professionally painted in recent years. Unique? Quirky? Yes.
