10 out 10 holiday, apartment was lovely, spacious rooms, swimming pool was great. Would definitely stay again, cant recommend enough!

We really enjoyed our little getaway. The house was very cool so easy to sleep at night and had all the amenities we needed. The upstairs living room/bedroom was a great size allowing us plenty of space to hang out if needed. The outdoor patio faced the garden which was perfect for our 8 year old son. The garden was so vast, cricket games, football, basketball, table tennis were all activities we participated in. We loved seeing and hearing the sheep and having a go feeding them. The pool was large enough for all guests to enjoy it and we liked how we could swim in it anytime of the day. Only 4km away from the nearest Boulangerie and 15 mins from the nearest supermarket. We went on a nice bike ride along the old railway and visits to the local towns. A perfect stop off on the way down to the Dordogne. Alan and Heather were very friendly hosts and were able to answer any questions we had. Only area of improvement would be to have WiFi in the house but the strength was fine outside which wasn’t a problem considering the weather. Jemima, Stef and Noah

Always a nice time out

Just as last year, we had a really good time. Kids love the pool and the big garden, parents enjoy the nice atmosphere and happy kids! Thanks for your hospitality!

The location is rural, quiet, well appointed for couples and families. Everything worked and facilities were extensive and clean. The pool was a lovely bonus, even in September. Alan & Heather are lovely hosts, running the Gîte with a light touch, great knowledge of the area and great company too. I like cooking so having a full kitchen to play with was great, especially with all the local, fresh produce. But don't knock the 24 hr Pizza vending machines either! Thoroughly recommend this place

Beautiful and idyllic rural location

My family stayed in France for about 2 weeks in total, but this was my favourite place out of all of them. If I had known about Bures earlier, I think I would have booked the full 2 weeks here instead. Such a gem.

A fantastic rural gîte – peaceful, spacious, and ideal for families. The owners live nearby in a separate gîte but are friendly, helpful, and never intrusive. The shared heated pool was brilliant – we used it most days, even when overcast, and it stayed around 25C. The huge garden space is a real highlight, with swings, toys, footballs, a pétanque pitch, and a large BBQ area where we enjoyed cooking and sitting out playing cards in the evenings.The gîte itself is traditional and full of charm, with lovely brickwork, exposed beams, and a flexible sleeping setup – ideal for families. Kitchen and gas oven worked perfectly, and the shower was great with instant hot water from a recently fitted boiler.It’s in the middle of nowhere (in a good way), so bring everything you need. The nearest shop is around 10 mins' drive, with a couple of big supermarkets 20 mins away. There’s a small village nearby – ask the owners what day the market is on, it's worth a visit. We mainly cooked in, but there are restaurants in the area too.Wi-Fi was patchy at times, likely due to the thick walls, so we downloaded a French eSIM, which worked well. Actually, it was quite refreshing to disconnect. We streamed some Netflix on iPads – next time we might bring a mini projector and watch films outside by the BBQ

Ruhe und Entspannung bei netten Gastgebern

Der ehemalige Stall wurde zu einem gemütlichen Ferienhäuschen umgestaltet. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung einfach aber zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Kamin auf der Terrasse haben wir alles gerne genutzt. Im oberen Stockwerk ist ein großer Schlafraum mit hoher Decke. Durch ein kleines Fenster konnten wir eine junge Vogelfamilie in einer Mauernische beobachten und wurden morgens von hungrigem Piepsen geweckt, Natur pur! Der große Garten ist toll ausgestattet für jüngere Kinder, die Schafe auf der Weide gleich nebenan durften von den Kindern mit gefüttert werden. Der gut gepflegte Pool war natürlich der Hit bei den Kindern und durfte bis Spätabends genutzt werden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, immer für einen Witz, ein Gespräch oder guten Tip zu haben. Wir hatten eine ruhige und erholsame Woche und wäre es nicht so weit weg von uns, würden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Good Location

Good location, lovely pool and toys for the kids. All the amenties you need in the gite. However the gite needs updating and a very good clean. Not the most comfortable beds.

Uitstekend vakantieverblijf

Top verblijf van 1 week gehad! Mooie, rustige omgeving. De eigenaars, Alan en Heather zijn zeer vriendelijke mensen, welke steeds tot uw dienst staan. Het zwembad vonden de kinderen mega leuk (we hadden dan ook zeer mooi weer gedurende de ganse week en konden er veel van gebruik maken). Een echte aanrader dus!

Propriétaires excellents mais site Abritel négatif

Tout a été parfait chez Alan et Heather . Merci à eux pour leur hospitalité , leur gentillesse et leur si joli gite . Par contre 0 étoile à ABRITEL qui a prélevé la TOTALITÉ du séjour alors que nous avions réservé le 2 novembre2021 . Ce n'est pas normal , ce n'est d'ailleurs pas légal de prélever la TOTALITÉ 8mois à l'avance et en plus sans nous prévenir .ABRITEL se fait de l'argent sur le dos des loueurs(comme sur celui des propriétaires )

Week-end de Pentecôte détente

Merci à Alan et Heather pour leur accueil. Nous avons passé 3 jours dans une propriété vraiment prévue pour les enfants, avec plein d'activités pour eux, ainsi que pour passer des bons moments en famille. Malgré le fait que la piscine soit fraîche, nous y avons été tous les jours! Et le calme de ce gîte permet de déconnecter. Un très bon week-end pour nous 5. Merci encore à Heather et Alan.

Calme et idéal en famille

Cadre conforme aux attentes : nature, calme. Les propriétaires sont très agréables, prévenants sans être envahissants. Grand jardin très bien aménagé pour des enfants (nombreux jeux de plein air), troupeau de mouton dans le pré jouxtant la propriété. Belle terrasse avec barbecue. Bref, à recommander pour un week-end au vert !

Séjour au calme

Super séjour à la campagne! Magnifique piscine (un peu fraîche pour les frileux) Tout les équipements nécessaires sur la terrasse ainsi que dans la maison Hôtes très sympathiques Seul petit bémol, très mauvaise réception wifi (qui finalement nous permet de vraiment déconnecter).

Détente, détente et détente

Nous avons passé quelques jours avec notre fils de 5 ans et demi dans ce gîte au coeur de la campagne normande. Un pur moment de détente ! Des jeux pour les enfants, piscine sécurisée, et une maison bien équipée. Parc animalier à 30 min et de nombreuses fermes pédagogiques dans les environs. Petits commerces pas loin. Propriétaires très accueillants. Il y a deux gîtes mais chaque locataire dispose de son espace au quotidien. Nous avons déjà envie de revenir !

Agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au sein du gîte. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et disponible en cas de besoin. Nous avons pu profiter de la superbe piscine, de la grande terrasse pleine de jeux, des moutons qui ont fait le bonheur de notre fille de 3 ans et du parc animalier à 20min et plein d'autres activités. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute pour un dépaysement totale et nous n'hésiterons pas à parler de vous autour de nous. Merci encore pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse.
