Ready to gather the whole gang under one roof, steps from the lighthouse? Beach Bum Inn is a spacious six bedroom Tybee Island vacation home with a private pool, ideal for family reunions and multi family getaways. Nestled in the shadow of the historic Tybee Island Lighthouse on the island's quiet North end, the home sits just a four to five block stroll from the oceanfront beach at the North Beach lot, with an even closer North Beach access point only two and a half blocks away. Cool off in the private pool, 23x11 feet with a 4.5 foot depth and available with optional heating year-round.

This inviting ground level home brings your whole crew together with two fully equipped kitchens, two living rooms, a game room with full size pool table, a covered patio, and a screened porch. Gather around the split-table seating for up to 16, plus counter seating for six. Enjoy movie nights on the 65 inch smart TV in one living room and a 42 inch flat screen TV in the other, each with a sleeper sofa for extra guests. Six thoughtfully arranged bedrooms offer comfortable space for everyone. Off the second living room, two king bedrooms suit parents or couples: one with a private full bath and optional twin bunk beds, the other with an attached bath that passes through to a twin bedroom with two twin beds, perfect for kids. Off the game room, three queen bedrooms round out the layout, including private and shared-bath options connecting to the first living room.

Unwind on the front porch's rocking chairs and swing beds, or relax on the large screened back porch with a dining table for four, a ping pong table and a 40 inch TV, all just steps from the historic Tybee Lighthouse. Fire up the gas grill for a group cookout, then wind down around the backyard fire pit.

Parking for 5 vehicles. This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. This home has High-Speed Internet/WIFI available for guest use. Guests can choose to add optional pool heat for an additional cost of $35 per day (not available in January or February)

PETS: This home is pet-friendly for up to two (2) adult dogs with approval. Cats are not allowed in any TVR property. Please Note: Tybee City ordinance does not allow dogs on any Tybee Island beaches.

We loved our stay! It was a perfect spot for myself and 8 friends. Tons of room, two kitchens, and lots of room to roam. I would definitely stay again!

The pool had to be cleaned. They had to send a service technician over to get the large television to work properly and also to spray inside due to Palmetto bugs. Beside that the place is wonderful with its old beach house charm. The office was good with our service requests.

Wonderful property. Very spacious. The pool was perfect. We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. The swing beds on the front porch is perfect for a nap.

Beach Bum Inn 2024

This house was extremely clean and the perfect size for our large family. There’s a lot to do and we really enjoyed staying there. The bed Swings on the front porch were awesome! We will definitely be back!

Girls trip

Beautiful layout and use of space. Both indoor and outdoor space was enjoyable. I woke each morning with a view of the sun rising behind the lighthouse from the screened in porch. We had a ball.

The house was not clean; floors were filthy (don’t go barefoot!), there was fecal matter on a toilet, soap residue was left in the tray in one shower, the pool was so dirty you could only see the first step. On our second day there was a power failure with an electrical burning smell and 2 firetrucks came. We were relocated to another house at midnight, which we understood and appreciated. The next day we were told we had until 10:00 am the next day to move back to Beach Bum Inn, so we had to pack everything and move again all within about 36 hours. When we got back to BBI, a light fixture with a fan had been removed from a bedroom. The washer and one refrigerator were not working. I asked for clean towels to be brought since we had no way to wash. After 3 calls, they were brought Friday, the day before we left. By the time we left Saturday, nothing had been fixed or replaced. My biggest complaint is that we were never informed that nothing was going to or couldn’t be fixed. We would have been disappointed, but would have understood. Every time we talked to someone from Tybee Rental Agency, s/he was very nice; just not very effective. We lost about 3 days of our vacation due to packing and unpacking (we had 10 people), dealing with the pool guy, and on the phone with TVR. This was to be a special trip. We had people coming from 3 states to celebrate a 50 year wedding anniversary.

Best place ever!!!!!

Our family had to evacuate the Tampa Bay Area from hurricane Milton. We had a large group of kids, dogs, and adults. Communication with property manager was easy and smooth. Owners of this property were extremely generous and allowed for our extra animals because we were desperate to find a place while fleeing our home town. Each of the 6 bedrooms had their own bathroom suites except for one with dual kitchens and living rooms on each side of the house. Wonderful set up, we will be back. Thank you thank you!!!

Great house

It is a great house for groups - close to lighthouse, within walking distance of beach and beach-side restaurant, good neighborhood. Lots of porch and outdoor spaces to relax in. The reason I gave a 3 for cleanliness was NOTthe house, but the pool. We paid to have it heated, and I made clear to the manager that we were going to use the pool (we are all pool-owners, so enjoy the pool). We arrived to a warm, but filthy pool. Since it was the weekend, she couldn’t get anyone out until Monday to clean it, which she did. Tuesday it rained. We left on Wednesday……so you get the picture. We paid to be able to swim one day. But again, the house was great.

Very nice, great location

Myself along with my spouse and several friends came across this house, we needed a big one, total of 10 of us. It worked out great. The location is awesome. Every amenity you will need, and plenty of room,even with 10 of us we was not on top of one another. Will be back for sure.Thanks

Fun Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! From the kids to adults there was always something to keep us busy. The property is perfectly set up with all of its space properly utilized and so many small butr cute details. The pool was awesome! The kids spend hours in the pool and didnt want to get out. The house is blocks away from the beach and not far from restaurants/supermarkets. We had an awesome experience and look forward to renting again in the future.

Excellent and spacious property.

Renting this property was simple. It is BETTER than advertised. The decor is perfect for the place too. Our group (family) of 11 had plenty of space and the amenities are great. Everyone was comfortable. I’d stay here again for sure !

What a great extended family set up

We enjoyed our stay so much. Two sisters and our family celebrating a 50th birthday. Early 20s kids, school kids, middle aged parents. Working remotely, schooling remotely, beaching, pooling, gaming. Perfect spaces for everyone.

TYBEE- BLESSING IN DISGUISE!

Long story on how we came across this blessing in Disguise! From Covid cancelling our plans last year to our 1st house in Savannah being sold which gave us two months before our trip to find this wonderful place. Perfect place for our Family (Girls Trip) of 12. This home was a vacation in itself! We had all different ages which having everything on 1 floor was great! Lots of space but our favorite place to hang out was the 2 large Swings! Wonderful area quiet and was so nice to be so close to the North Beach entrance and Tybee Lighthouse!! Staff was wonderful and check in and out was a breeze!! Fully stocked two kitchens that had everything you needed. Beautiful pool was a great addition! Rooms were spacious and was wonderful to have 4 bathrooms. If you are looking for a great place book this you will be extremely happy and it could be your blessing In Disguise!

Best of Both Worlds

We were in town celebrating a bachelorette party. With Covid we wanted to be on the beach and enjoy the quietness but also be in good distance to downtown Savannah to enjoy that atmosphere. We did both and was amazing. The house was huge and plenty of space indoors and outdoors.

Would not go to Tybee again

We probably would not stay in Tybee again not very many things there to do the restaurants were just Average. The whole island needs to be upgraded. So many areas where grass wasn’t even mowed. The house we stayed in was definitely overpriced for the condition it’s in. Wasn’t very clean. . It met our needs but just needed some Maintenance done. We’ve stayed in other places much cheaper and with better amenities and things to do

Everything was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better property.

The entire rental process was so simple and efficient. From check-in to check-out, everything was well organized and easy to understand. The house upon arrival was spotless, and they provided everything you could possible think to need. The grounds were well maintained and the pool was heavenly. We so loved the house that we will definitely return.
