Inside, you’ll find creamy colonial walls accented by vibrant colors in each room, original hardwood floors throughout, and a kitchen with modern appliances and mountain vistas. The master bedroom features large sliding glass doors that frame sweeping mountain views and create an airy, open feel.
Furnished in a comfortable country style, the home is centrally heated and air-conditioned, with Dish TV and high-speed fiber internet (100 Mbps). The property offers five bedrooms and two bathrooms, a hot tub overlooking the mountains, and a fire pit perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets.
Conveniently located just off Highway 29, the farmhouse is halfway between Charlottesville and Lynchburg, and only 30 minutes from Wintergreen Ski Resort and Crabtree Falls. Access to the 10-acre property is an easy one-mile drive from the highway.
Enjoy a variety of local activities: tour central Virginia’s renowned wineries, visit nearby orchards, pick your own berries, ski at Wintergreen, hike Crabtree Falls or the Appalachian Trail, fish the Tye or James River, browse antique shops, take scenic drives, or play a round of golf.

Most guests find themselves relaxing at the cozy farmhouse, which sits in the middle of a 10-acre parcel with elevated mountain views. The Tye River borders the property to the west, and private river access is a short 250-yard walk down the driveway. The river is not visible from the house. Guests can enjoy swimming, canoeing, tubing, and kayaking—just bring your own gear. Please note, four-wheeling is not permitted due to insurance restrictions.
Explore open fields, hiking trails, and, when water levels are right, enjoy kayaking or tubing on the river. The Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Trail is just three miles away, and Crabtree Falls, and the Appalachian Trail are close by.
