Thank you Charles...so glad you and your party enjoyed your stay. We strive to make the house a welcoming house and not just another rental property! The location of the house, looking on to snow capped mountains in winter and verdant oak forests in summer, with all round sun every day was one of the reasons we bought the house many years ago, and every year we make it more and more homely so that people can truly chill out and leave the 21st Century stresses behind them for at least a few weeks. Thank you for taking the time to review. We're glad you enjoyed the garden, pool, exterior and bedrooms. It's unfair to give such a low star review for the property because of pots, pans and rugs. The interior design of the house is visible in the many photos we provide and what you see is what you get: a beautiful, Tuscan style property with paintings, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen for which we have received many compliments. The property is advertised as a three bedroom house. The "fourth room" you reference is in fact a mezzanine floor above the kitchen and it's not advertised as a room. This area is used for storage so it's unfair to review it as a room. Cleaning is done to a high standard before and after every rental. Our cleaner lives locally and is available to visit during rental periods to help with any issues.

Marylin, we are so delighted that you and your group enjoyed your stay in our house. It is located in a very beautiful and unspoilt national park and the views are stunning. The kitchen is the heart of the house and as you commented there are every conceivable type of pots and pans to help you enjoy the Tuscan cooking experience. I must admit that when we found out that the house was being rented by a top NYC interior designer we held our breath but we are glad it surpassed your expectations! Thank you for your wonderful review. So glad that you and your family enjoyed the 2 weeks at our house. The house is in the National Park area in the little hills of Cortona and at the same time just 15/20 minutes drive to that Etruscan jewel that is Cortona. We always advise guests who wish to visit Florence or Sienna to take the train. Florence station is just a short walk to the historic centre of the city and Rome is just a couple of hours away by train..perfect for a day trip...but when you get to the house people are reluctant to leave the serenity and beauty of the area.

Emma, so glad you enjoyed the house and location. This location has not changed for ever..part of a National Park..you could imagine legions of Roman soldiers marchig along the old Roman roads in the area..but at the time being so close to Etruscan Cortona with all it's magical restaurants and bars. Magical place.

Dorle, Daniel and family,and dog Berta! Thank you for your wonderful review of your stay in our house. We are delighted that you enjoyed your vacation and that you have also booked it for 2019! Delighted also that you Dorle with your love of horses have found a local stable for you to go trail riding next year. We are very privileged to own this house and land in a beautiful location looking onto the mountains of the National Park. Over the years we have christened this house 'the healing house' as the peace and tranquility seems to peel away the stress that affects us all in this sometimes mad world we live in! We will be making a few improvements over the winter as we mostly always do so that will be the surprise in store for you in 2019!
