Authentic Log cabin with something for everyone!

An authentic log cabin on 7 acres with a small lake in the front yard. Sleeps 10 in beds (10 maximum capacity). More wildlife than imaginable. Every time of day brings out different animals and birds. Built for family gatherings and fun. Enjoy swimming in the lake. Enjoy feeding the fish (we do not allow fishing) as all fish have been hand raised and are pet like. We do provide fish food for your enjoyment (and theirs:). Enjoy local historical places, numerous wineries and breweries all within 10 miles. Ride the Katy Trail, and do some local shopping. Be sure to visit historical downtown Washington, which is one of the top ten historical districts in the US. Daniel Boone home and monument are close and worth visiting. Busch's wildlife conservation area has over 50 stocked lakes for fishing and other outdoor fun. All of these attractions are within 10 minutes of the cabin.

Semi secluded with easy access to grocery store, Wal Mart and Plenty to do in St Louis. The kids had a blast kayaking and swimming.

it was a pay per person, Kitchen floor was dirty. Doors were bad. Coffee pot took almost 2 hours to make a pot of coffee. We started the night before. Not much cookware or knives. No ice maker, had to go buy ice. Not like other cabins we have rented in the past. Probably won't do this one again.

Beautiful home and property with plenty of space for a family to enjoy time together. Area was quiet with quick and easy access to all that Washington, MO has to offer. I would definitely recommend this property for other families. We had a great visit and would absolutely come back.

This was a great location for a yearly hiking event we do as a family. The bedrooms were wonderful; clean, spacious, and thoughtful. The amenities were much less than what we are accustomed to experiencing. It was a surprise that we needed toilet paper (there was half used rolls on the dispenses, but you are expected to bring your own), trash bags (2 trash bags were provided), hot pad (none), dish soap/wash cloths (none) coffee pods (none for the Keurig and the drip machine doesn't work), coffee filters (none), and so on. The maintenance of the property was also not what we would expect. Most of the doors need work, the kayaks were not as described and dirty towels were left in them. Laundry was left in the washing machine, the windows need a good brooming of the cobwebs to enjoy the beautiful scenery. This is a hard review, because we had such high hopes.

Absolutely loved our stay! Cabin was spacious & very peaceful. Host was very easy to communicate with. Wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend!

Although the house seemed clean there was a terrible musty/ mildew smell that lasted for a couple of days . We had to buy plug in Air Wicks and candle to get rid of the smell. Although there was gas for the grill it was dirty and rusty. The back door couldn’t be closed so we were unable to lock it at night which made us a bit nervous to stay there.There were no comfortable chairs for outside relaxing. As animal lovers it was very difficult to be around so many dead animals. The pelts in the back bedroom are loosing their hair and look bad.Windows needed washing and the porches need cleaning and painting on the front porch and the fence around the grilling area.Does Vbro check these places out before you advertise them?

We had a great stay at this cabin. It fit all 8 of us with plenty of space. Rooms were clean, our host was great, we didn't really use the kitchen, Parking was perfect for 2 vehicles.

We loved this cabin! We appreciated that it was pet friendly and enjoyed walking the property. Our dogs had a great time swimming in the pond. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The porch overlooking the pond was a peaceful place to relax. We also liked that the property was on a dead end road without a lot of traffic. There were many wineries nearby to visit too! We would love to stay here again!

Quiet, relaxing, and comfortable! Tranquil setting. We enjoyed watching the geese on the pond and seeing the fish in the pond. Having land to walk our dog was so nice.

This is our second time staying at this cabin. This is a very relaxing location close to Marthasville and a short drive to wineries and historic venues. The host is always very helpful and easy to communicate with. It was a great spot for a quick winter relaxing vacation. We would definitely stay again.

Both involved in multiple business ventures, it was a gift to come home in the evening and unwind in this beautiful serene setting. It was like being miles from nowhere yet close to everything. We love the cabin so much we decided to share it with others. We live very close and take much pride in ownership. We hope you love it and care for it the same as we do.

Rebecca Lane is in the middle of nowhere, but actually close to everything. St. Louis is 45 minutes, Washington is 10 minutes, and downtown Marthasville which has practically everything you would need in 3 minutes. Why not this property????

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Only log cabin of its kind in this area. Built from 10" logs. Large and spacious, lake front, woods to wander in, firepit to have open fires for roasting hotdogs, smores and more, berries to pick, fish to feed, deer, fox, raccoons, herons, skunks, turtles, muskrats, hummingbirds and wild birds too numerous to name. A real outdoor paradise for nature lovers.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: THE FIREPLACE CANNOT BE USED.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE #2: The cabin has a lot of taxidermy animals. WE DID NOT KILL ANY OF THESE. They were victims of traffic accidents, purchased at auctions, or donated to us by conservationists. We thought this would be a great way for adults and children alike to see wildlife up close without ever feeling the need to harm a live animal. They are also unable to grow new hair so we ask that you do not handle or pet. If taxidermy animals bother you, the cabin is probably not a good fit. Thank you.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE #3. The cabin is on 7 wooded acres and there are bugs, bats, snakes, mice and more depending on the time of year. Please expect to encounter some or all of these forms of life. If you keep all food in cabinets or fridge, it will help minimize pesky situations.
