Pleasant Stay

Enjoyed the property. It served our needs just fine. Beds were comfortable, shower was good. We loved the location but bear in mind that it’s a loud street if that bothers you. Also a few flights of stairs. Would book again. Thank you all

Great location, value

Very good all around. Great location and communication. Back patio was nice but could be fantastic with upgraded seating. Would have been nice to have laundry and dish soap provided, and more than one roll of toliet paper. Still, i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This property is unsafe.The stairwell is a hole in the floor, with no guardrail to prevent anyone walking out the front door from falling in. There is no handrail for the first set of stairs. Both major code violations, and incredibly unsafe. There are wiring mains, untaped, dangling from the ceiling. Are you trying to electrocute your guests? There is a ladder to the ceiling in front of an opening window. The smoke detectors are not functioning. You are taking advantage of tired tourists and the only fortunate thing is that you haven’t injured anyone yet. These issues need to be addressed before you rent it to a single other person.

Great stay in London at Kentish Town

The apartment worked out great for us and was a good location except for the Underground station at Kentish Town is closed. If you are a lite sleeper make sure you bring ear plugs. The beds were comfortable and the space worked out great for us.

John T did a great job helping us getting 6 large bags up the 49 steps to the third floor flat. He also got us extra towels for 3 people. The stove a little tricky. But close to tube and so. Good restaurants and coffee shops

Beautiful!

The apartment was clean and tidy as shown and described in the pictures. There was enough space for the 2 of us and we felt very comfortable these 4 days. All in all a beautiful and recommendable apartment in a really great area! Thank you for letting us stay with you for these 4 days.

Review

Property was clean, very nice and was the same as advertised. The only thing I found was it did not mention that there were a lot of stairs to climb. Other than that John was very nice and our stay was enjoyable.

Very nice place to live in

Very cosy and very clean apartment, nice place to live in. Public transport is nearby, although Kentish Town Station was closed due to renovations, there are plenty of other alternatives. Very uncomplicated, warm and helpful welcome (Thank you and regards to Iivia!). All told, we enjoyed our stay and we definetly recommend the apartment.

Convenient and private

We stayed for just over a month and found the flat very well suited for our needs. The second bedroom on the top floor is the nicer and larger of the two so worth paying the supplement. NB there are quite a lot of stairs so not ideal with a pushchair or mobility constraints.

Apartment was ok. Not quite what we expected. Quite basic. We went for a family meet up to celebrate a birthday. Would have been nice to have found some drinking glasses or wine glasses that matched! Parking space that was advertised wasn’t suitable for a larger car so had to pay extra to park when we arrived. Location was great.

The apartment was bright, sunny, and clean. It has all the amenities. This apartment is not suitable for anyone over 65. The apartment is located on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Also, the tub is very deep and difficult to get in and out of. The location is very nice and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby.

Well equipped apartment

The property was comfortable and had everything needed for a stay of any length. Bed comfortable. Great location right opposite tube station and within walking distance of Camden. Could only be improved by having blinds fitted to block morning light. On a main road therefore noisy during night though luckily we had taken ear plugs and eye masks.

Thank you for taking time to leave review about your stay. I appreciate you mentioned how comfortable and well-equipped the flat is. I apologize for the inconviences caused by the light and noise. The blinds have been set long time ago. The building is situated on the main road. If you are looking for more calm place, I suggest to have a look at Twin room or 1 bedroom flat that I have in teh same building. Bedrooms there do not face the main road. I will be happy to see you as my guest and provide you with more calm room and better quality of service.

It's a lovely, clean, and well-located apartment. Conveniently located near all the shops and cafes. The metro station is just across the street, which is also very convenient. It can be a bit noisy at times, but that's part of a big city. John, who welcomed us, was friendly and explained everything clearly. It was also helpful that you can park for free on the street behind the apartment. The only thing missing was a pair of scissors. Unfortunately, the extra price for the attic bedroom wasn't listed, but it could be rented for a small fee of 10 per day. Keep in mind that there are four flights of stairs to climb, which might be challenging for those with limited mobility. Also note that there's no TV, but there is a good internet connection, so you can easily watch TV with a laptop.

Not what I expected!

The place was ok, But when you stay at a VRBO I expect to have silverware to use. Hand towels and other thing that a home would have. The photos online should be update to how this property really is not how it use to be.

This stay was adequate. Upon arrival the owner got upset that I didn't contact him even though I was in contact with the only numbers I was given. He overcharged us for our late fee. There was a laundry machine but no place to dry the clothes. As we were shown around the place, the owner was doing his laundry and had to step out to get a basket to remove it. There was leftover open food in the cabinets and fridge, where the owner "claimed he left it for our own consumption". It looked as if the place was under construction and the drawers/cabinets were dirty and broken. There were also sharp bits poking out of the floors. It was obvious someone was living in the apartment before our arrival since there were toiletries "hidden" behind a flower pot in the bathroom. Kitchen seemed to be brand new, which was nice. Overall it was livable, but overpriced.

It was a great space to stay for our week in london as it was super close to the tube. However on the listing there was one bedroom pictured that we thought would be a part of our flat, but it wasnt. We were under the impression there would be 2 beds and a pull out couch based on the photos. Which was fine we managed ok. We also requested laundry detergent for the washing machine which was in our unit and was denied saying that was not something that was provided. Also when we arrived there was only 1 roll of toilet paper, as we were 3 girls staying for 8 days we definitely needed more. I asked for more and was giving one more roll. Unfortunately we still needed more than that and I had to go out and buy some more.Overall, everything was good just a few things that I found to be a bit silly. Also a suggestion to add blackout curtains or blinds to the kitchen since there is a pull out couch there and the person sleeping out there was continuously woken up by the sun.

Serviceable but disappointing

Pros... roomy, plenty of warm water, washer available, great temp, lots of natural light, easy access to tube/train stationCons... not ready at checkin time, lacking general cleanliness, plenty of dirty spots and dust all about, dishes in cabinet were dirty, 3 flights of steep skinny stairs, lots of street noise/sirens, we were told to provide our own toilet paper so we had to go shopping (one roll and one almost empty roll was provided)

Most of the 7 day stay we did not have Internet, so we had to use our purchased London data in the apartment. Check in process had few bumps, as we could not connect right away with the person replacing the owner.

Decent, but read the description

I booked this place after reading all the overall things it had, I had no idea I would be charged extra money for a second room until I was already on my way to London. This place is NOT a 2 bedroom, it's a q bedroom that can add an extra bedroom (so hidden fees). If it listed the place for more money, and both rooms I would have been ok with it

Kentish Town Stay

It would have been nice to know there were a lot of stairs leading up to the apartment. I'm in my late 70's but lucky for me, I'm fit. There were four in our party but only two wash cloths. The first day after showering the tub flooded through the floor into the bedroom. "John" came immediately to assess the problem and agreed to make the repairs next day while we were in London. We were gone all day but the repairs were not complete when we arrive back. We could not use the bathroom until he was finished. Very inconvenient. The apartment was clean and convenient to the train station.

Excellent location

Perfect location, literally across the street from the Northern line and it was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Restaurants and grocery stores right there. We rented the additional space which is another bedroom upstairs, was super helpful to have that additional bedroom. We also cooked in and they generally had everything we needed. This is a 3rd floor apartment so you have to be ready for that, not a problem for us. The entrance is around back as the apartment is over a commercial property (empty at the moment). This explains why you have to meet the manager in person to get the keys, no place for a lock box that I could see. He came very quickly when we texted him we were there. Street noise didn’t bother us but I use a white noise app to sleep anyway. Couldn’t here anything from the upstairs bedroom. We’ve stayed at newer apartments in the past but we given the choice now would stay here instead, the location trumps the more dated decor and quirkiness of the layout. We were super happy with our stay.

Great London Getaway Spot

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at this location. The property was clean and had plenty of space for the two of us. The beds were VERY comfortable and felt great after a long day exploring London! I also recommend getting the bonus loft space; it was a large space with a great view of London. There are a lot of stairs to access this proper. Just an FYI for people who may not be able bodied, but we didn't mind at all. The property is in a great location. It is north of the hustle and bustle of the city proper, however there is a lot to offer in the neighborhood; plenty of restaurants and EASY access to the bus and tube to get anywhere in the city! The property does mention it has WIFI, but it did not work. Even after the property manager reset the router, we still did not have access. Plan to create and use your own hotspot or be off the grid for the week as you don't have internet access. The only other downside was communication between the owner and the property manager. When we arrived we were told we did not have a reservation and then there was debate over payment we did or did not make. This made for a stressful start to our trip, but the situation was rectified. Both Valeria and John were kind and pleasant to us; the communication breakdown was on their end. Overall, I highly recommend this space and would return on my next trip to London!

Charming manager, but some deficiencies

The pictures make it bigger and nicer than it is. The supossed terraed was semi-abandoned with an ld table and only a chair. The main problem was the wifi, which worked very irregularly. The manager was very kind and nice, but not so efficient. Heating worked wonderfull. The entrance, through a dead-end street had a workshop and a heap of old furniture and rubbish.

Daer Maria, thank you for taking time to review my property. I appreciate that you have mentioned helpful staff and good heating. Please accept my apologies for all the inconviences. During winter, we have to remove all the flowers and plants from the terrace so it might look not that charming but it's a summer terrace. We have changed the wifi router so there are no any problems with the internet anymore. I will be happy to see you as my guest again.
